Well despite all the goings on on my "oh sh*t" thread I know I'm not going to be terminating. So I figured I may as well start a club for June 2007! Don't suppose there's many (if any) others yet - I'm not even quite 4 weeks yet, and my EDD will be 5th June!!

OP posts:

When I saw my GP on Thurs she referred me for a scan and said I should have one early this week. Anyway got a letter this morning from my hospital asking me an Obstetric Dating appointment NEXT Tues ie 24th - firstly is this what an early pregnancy scan is called ie. have I been made the right appointment? and secondly I can't believe I will have to wait nearly 2 weeks from when I saw GP. Also the appointment is in the Xray dept rather than the antenatal unit. Can anyone shed any light on this? Many thanks

megandsoph · 16/10/2006 14:37

Florentine from the sounds of it, yes it's a dating scan. Just googled "obsteric dating appointment" and it says about dating scans. Sorry you have had to wait so long
not sure why it would be in the xray department.

Cocobear I feel exactly the same, absolutley grotty. Was woken also 3 times last night with bad cramping (not the menstraly ones) was on the toilet loads (sry if TMI [blush. My pregnancies with DD's were fine, this one is being a nightmare Grrrr.

lemonstartree · 16/10/2006 16:27

Can I join in - LMP ??? but definitely in September sometime - 3x pos preg tests....... going for scan tomorrow to hopefully get some idea of dates. Feeling waves of nausea that I never had with my three previous pregnancies - Hope its not twins..........

Am I the oldest on the thread ? 41 now and 42 in Dec ???

SmilingKiwi · 16/10/2006 17:01

Knock Knock.... Shy one opens door, can I please join? I have been following the TTC positive threads for a while so some of you are familiar to me, Natty,Trace2,Andie0411 but I felt like as we have been only trying for two months I didn't feel justified!! So.... just got back (1 hour ago!) from the GP and I am due 20th June feeling excited, happy and a little freaked out as I am a million miles from home and its our first!

Hope you are all feeling well, here's to a healthy 9 months!!

hi everyone and welcome all the new names since I was last on here- and so very sorry for those who think they've lost this little one..thinking of you and hoping that there is still a chance they're ok...
i am feeling increasingly crap- I too have lanky greasy hair and spots, and for some unknown reason am weeing all the bloody time and it STINKS sorry if tmi- is this normal? Didn't have it with two dds so worried. Also didn't have sickness last 2 times, just tiredness, but I am nauseous more or less all the time.. need to eat very frequently to keep it at bay. so my plans of not putting on 4 stone like last time will be out the bloody window again.. another dress size for me then...

andi0411 · 16/10/2006 18:57

Hi and welcome to Lemonstatree and Smilingkiwi...comgrats ladies!!

I have had very little nausea this time but what i do have is always after 6pm..prob when I'm most tired.
I do have bloating though but thankfully ant af type cramps have gone- it's my boobs that have got me this time- I have already bought 1 larger bra..I'll be putting Jordan in the shade by the end of this!! Also they're incredibly sore- anyone else have this?

Hope everyone's well.....good luck with scans and we'll soon be through this crappy bit very soon!!!

andi0411 · 16/10/2006 18:58

Just glanced at my prev posts- i can now had that my typing/spelling has also gone to pott thanks to pg hormones!!

lottymadbird · 16/10/2006 19:47

Hi, can I join? I'm due I think 6 June. Am going to end up with two children under 2 - OH MY GOD ! I'm 39 so let's hope it keeps you young !!!!!

Oh, I've got spots, can't face eating anything and spend half my time on the loo.

It took me 5 years to conceive DS1 though so am absolutely amazed and over the moon to be PG again!

PizPizPiz · 16/10/2006 22:58

alexh, that's what I felt at the beginning of my 1st pg: nothing! In fact I didn't really believe I was pg until my 1st scan! I wanted it to be true so much but I didn't feel any different. For the second time round, it's the same. No nausea, no sore boobs, I still eat like a horse... I guess we are the lucky ones . Don't worry.

aquablue · 17/10/2006 04:44

hi i'm 7+2 and nausea and tiredness has definitely kicked in! but then i have a really good day without anything, and instead of feeling good, i start thinking whether the baby is ok! i know so silly...

megandsoph · 17/10/2006 07:54

I have 2 dds already, Mia, 3 on friday and Lottie 10 months. Yes i must be mad having another! 3 under 5, scary!!

SmilingKiwi · 17/10/2006 11:49

Good Morning All, I'm starving ALL the time!! Anyone else? Never had hunger like this, I'll eat breakfast and have a hunger rumble an hour later! Little nausea and really thirsty too
Love your DD names SarahS!

babymonster · 17/10/2006 12:01

Good morning. feeling loads better, had no more bleeding since saturday and that was only slight. looking forward to my 7 week scan on friday i'm due on 7th june. I'm hungry all the time but as soon as i eat something i'm full then an hour later feel hungry again. Having a relaxing week at home till my scan so enjoying putting my feet up

thehairybabysmum · 17/10/2006 12:45

Hello, have just found out i'm cheggars again...am v. chuffed but also cacking myself as DS is only 10mths old and is safe to say that i dont think i thought this through!! Hey ho guess we'll muddle through as usual!!

babymonster · 17/10/2006 12:58

congratulations hairy. sure everything will fall into place. have you told the family yet?

PizPizPiz · 17/10/2006 13:04

yep, me too, hungry and thirsty all the time. A bit tired too, but that's because I started waking up at 5am 2 several weeks ago to take my temp (I fell pg thanks to Weschler's method). And dd stopping having a nap in the afternoon doesn't help.

Daisybump · 17/10/2006 13:33

Welcome to all you newbies out there. Not posted since Friday and feel like a stranger on this thread now!!! I hope that everyone is doing OK. Im feeling pretty sick all the time, and the only thing keeping it at bay is to eat....and it has to be big fat carbs. Only problem is I have gluten intolerance so no bread or pasta for me so I'm feeding my craving on ready salted crisps...had three packets on Sunday and will soon be the size of a house. Seeing doc tomorrow and hope to get referral for early scan (two previous m/c) but I'm only 5+1 so not sure if it's too early or not. Had a tiny bit of spotting, but had same with DS at this stage so trying not to worry about it. Oh and I swear DS is psychic as keeps talking about brothers and sisters and babies and there's no way he could have overheard DH and I talking about it! DH dazed and confused by my sudden mood swings...it's like a roller-coaster in here!!
Luck and sticky dust to everyone.

FREAKYFLOSS....so so sorry and thinking of you (been there myself) I know there's nothing anyone can say, but you hear so many positive stories....look at N&T&B. I've got my fingers crossed for you. Take care and rest up.

thehairybabysmum · 17/10/2006 13:51

not yet...have told a couple of close friends but not even been o the docs yet (go on thurs), thought i might try and wait til ive had a scan. I think i will show much quicker this time, still got belly from ds and definitely no muscle tone to hold it all in (not that i had much last time either), so that maight give it away.

What about everyone else, have you told yet??

babymonster · 17/10/2006 14:05

I couldn't wait to tell everyone, this is my first and got married last year so think everyone was expecting it sometime soon. Glad my work know cos i'm having to take this week off work to relax abit because of bleeding and they are very understanding. Any idea what yur due date will be?

thehairybabysmum · 17/10/2006 14:14

think it will be around the 6th of Jun, but not sure exactly when LMP was, plus i have ireggular cycle so will see what doc says.

Good to hear your work being supportive. Are you feeling better now, has bleeding stopped??

I told everyone as soon as i knew last time, tis lovely how chuffed they all are for you isn't it.

babymonster · 17/10/2006 14:19

yeah loved telling everyone, everyone was really chuffed. Feeling loads better bleeding seems to have stopped and i'm having scan on friday so fingers crossed everything will be ok. bet you can't wait to see what the doctor says, he might get you booked in for an early scan if your not sure about your dates

thehairybabysmum · 17/10/2006 14:24

aye...i will prob pay private for a nuchal fold scan as im one of those 'older mothers', i think they dont do a scan til 20 weeks here on NHS so tis quite nice to have an early look. Would be nice to get one free though...ive paid enough in bloody taxes overthe years!

Glad to hear bleeding has settled, sounds promising.

babymonster · 17/10/2006 14:32

no harm in asking for one, they can only turn you down.
