My sister had a Silver Cross for DS1 and bought a new one for DS2 - a Mamas and Papas Sola. She really rates the latter. Fits in the boot of my polo with one wheel off.

I am looking after Dnephew2 today (along with Abigail). Only 11 months between them. Need eyes in the back of my head. Fortunately he's napping in the cot at the moment. I do admire everyone with more than one and especially small age gaps!

Good, hope you do get some sleep and feel refreshed for the big event. Is your cervix dilating at all? Hope the drip is doing its job and gets buglet out of the desired exit. Waving pompoms for you :) presume you have own room on labour ward now?

FrankelandFilly · 26/09/2014 17:49

Rest, rest and more rest if you can get it. Thinking dilating thoughts and lovely sneeze birth vibes Grin

I can't comment from personal experience but I've heard the shakes are pretty normal with an epidural. Do you have an eye mask and some ear plugs? If so, put them on/in and close your eyes, even if you don't get to sleep you can at least rest.

FriendofDorothy · 26/09/2014 21:06

ooo my Dad and sister were in Portugal when I went into labour.

Try and get some rest and relax as much as you can x

SinkyMalinks · 26/09/2014 21:26

Hope it's all progressing bugs. Labour really is an endurance feat - keep drinking if you can (I would say eating as well, but I remember I would have punched anyone who tried to make me eat in labour. Have a jelly baby if you can face it)

JethroTull · 26/09/2014 21:43

Bugs I had the shakes throughout my CS. Felt like I had no control of my own body. Hope you get some rest. Is GP with you?

eurochick · 26/09/2014 22:39

I shook like I had hypothermia throughout my CS. It is common if unpleasant.

Good luck. We are here to hold your hand and offer the hake of hardiness to see you through.

SinkyMalinks · 26/09/2014 23:09

Ditto re CS shakes. I don't remember much, but do remember repeatedly asking for blankets, and almost cried when they brought me a bear hugger blanket (the one they inflate with hot air).
