Happy New Year!

bugs MiniWink is a few days off being 6 months old. She started baby led weaning last week by stealing food off plates and shoving it into her mouth faster than I could stop her, so I'm rolling with it. Its a lot harder to keep a babygro clean when she's munching (stolen) toast than having a nice drink of milk :)

fank that sounds like a lovely start to the year. My year started with DNeph waking up at 6am and disturbing the baby, but she eventually settled for another couple of hours, hooray.

Heheh.

So's Eliza but I have found it really interesting to see how far forward her gag reflex is when I have been giving her Calpol recently.

Fankletastic · 05/01/2015 09:26

Well, due date been and gone Come on now Fanklet!!

Is it wrong to feel mildly disgruntled that a lady from my nct group who was due AFTER me had her baby on MY due date?

Argh fank, you are too calm, she is a fucking due date stealing bitch! My post due date week was the longest, most infuriating week of my life.

My ESHlet spends most of the night next to me with a nipple in or near her mouth Hmm but in fairness to her, she stays asleep (unless she can't find the nipple) 7.30pm until 7.30am. The whole nipple thing is an ishoo.

I've tried lots of different dummies, lots of times, including today. They've all been very firmly rejected, alas.

Cheers hags. You're right, there's a bloody queue!! Even MG agreed its infuriating....and last night we heard about another birth of a baby due after Fanklet.

I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow. Need to decide whether to take the sweep she's offered. Any thoughts on this ladies? I'm concerned it isn't a natural labour trigger and so may make the whole thing longer and more tricky. Or am I completely mistaken? I'll only be 3 days overdue tomorrow so could technically still wait a bit longer for it to begin naturally. Got a bit excited this morning when I was awoken by period cramps and BH at 4am then at 6:30 (after finally managing that long awaited roll in the hay last night Wink but they've gone again and now I'm knackered from getting up early and full of hope

May go back to bed...

TheOriginalWinkly · 06/01/2015 20:02

fank if it was me I wouldn't have a sweep yet, mainly because they can be not pleasant (though mine was fine), you could easily go by yourself in the next few days, and enough people will be rummaging down there, leave your bits alone for a little longer. But that's just me.

bugs there is a sort of kind of Plan. It needs to be sorted by the end of March for the dreaded return to work, boo.

I am fine other than being knackered.

First week at work done but it has completely wiped me out!

Fankletastic · 09/01/2015 16:56

Well done Dor! Enjoy the weekend now.

I'm still here in limbo land Bugs. 5 days overdue now. I went against Winks' advice and had the sweep on Wednesday. Midwife said I was 1cm dilated and my cervix felt soft and stretchy (a good thing apparently) but it was facing towards the back so she pulled it forward, which fucking hurt!! She said if it was going to work it would do so within 48 hours. Well we've gone past that now and still nothing. I'm not even having as many twinges or cramps. Still lots of BH though. I'm trying not to be too impatient as each day overdue is a day further away from Christmas.

My notes said that baby's head was 3-4 fifths palpable on Wednesday. On Christmas Eve it was 2 fifths palpable. So that must mean it's popped out a bit! Bloody hell!!

No news. I need some serious cervix prodding!

1 week overdue. I'm so over this now and would really quite like to be able to walk normally, have a comfortable nights sleep, lie on my back and get my socks and shoes on without huffing and puffing. But I would like to avoid induction at all costs if I can.

Got another sweep booked for Tuesday.

Fankletastic · 11/01/2015 14:32

Also playing Russian roulette with rinitidine as only have 5 days worth left of my prescription. I can prob make it last 5 days but then I will be a grumpy fire breathing dragon again!
