Hi everyone, hope everyone is feeling ok! These boards really are getting me through each day! LavenderCandles I am also 8 weeks, and feel horrendous too! Sad I have my first miswifes app tomorrow and I'm going to find out the ins and outs of being signed of work for a couple of weeks. I can't cope any longer! Nausea, being sick, aching bones, extreme fatigue, and the usual.. Gone off a lot of foods, gone off sex, no energy to do housework the list goes on Sad

mamabear0315 · 09/09/2014 18:40

Hello everyone!
ahh I can't believe Kate is pregnant as well...but I still swear I am not her! lol. We just seem to be on the same baby making schedule (I was preganant with my first when she was as well! lol)..although I'm def. not dealing with my HG in a palace :( lol
So i went for my scan on Friday and saw a heartbeat! :) So we decided to tell everyone after that (I suck at keeping secrets!! lol) Everyone we told was muuuch more happy & supportive than I was expecting :)! Got my first pic of my little bean! I'll share it below :).. It was supposed to be at 9w6d in this picture but I know I ovulated late (as we didn't think we would get pregnant when we did based on my cycle)..so it was measuring about a week behind that. It isn't the clearest picture...but I'm glad they gave me one :)!

OVER HERE!!! Due April 2015
Roseylee20 · 09/09/2014 18:53

Hi mamabear! Congratulations! I can't believe kate is pregnant either, and will possibly be April too, how exciting! I can't wait for another royal update to see exactly how far she is, unless they have announced it and I missed it! The last I heard she was "between 6-8" weeks x

kittenmamma · 09/09/2014 18:58

Hi guys! Joining in at 7+4
Been on the March thread but had my dating scan today which puts my due date at 24th April
I'm 22, DH is 27
This is my first, his second
And I'm sick as a dog, am only able to keep food down if I'm not moving, have been like this for a week so hoping to see a doc tomorrow!

mamabear0315 · 09/09/2014 19:46

Thanks Roseylee! :)
& congrats Kittenmamma!

hmm so I have a bit of a concern..When I got out of hospital for dehydration a few weeks ago..they sent me over to my GP (however she was out of office so it was a fill in dr.) to get some meds for the ms...they gave me diclectin (which is what they had to give me with DS but it didn't really work), so they also gave me Metonia to go along with it..which seems to work instantly! However ...I've been doing some research and all I can find is "do not use during pregnancy unless your dr. thinks the benefits outweigh the risks" which seems a little scary to me!! Obviously the dr. doesn't think it's too risky to have prescribed it...but the sounds of any risks at all to my baby are freaking me out (especially since i've been using it for 2 weeks now :/) sooo just curious has anyone else been prescribed that in this pregnancy or in previous ones?? I am going to call tomorrow and voice my concerns to my GP...

Roseylee20 · 09/09/2014 20:27

Hi kittenmama! I'm very near to you, almost 8 weeks, I am 21 and partner is 26, this is my first after 2 previous mc's, but his second. I also have the same symptoms as you, nausea 24/7, gone off a lot of foods etc, makes me very down Sad hopefully it gets better for us both.
mamabear although I can't give you any advice or a story about the medication you are taking, I would say speak to your gp as soon as you can. As we know on top of everything else we also have to be careful of meds we take. Like you say, trust your doctor as they are there to help you. The "risks" must not have a high percentage at all. But it's worth asking what they are etc. I would try and see your usual GP too if available. Good luck x

kittenmamma · 09/09/2014 20:52

Mamabear I'd be asking about it too, sounds a bit dodgy :S
Roseylee that's so cool we are very similar! Have you been to GP about MS? I'm barely able to stand so I need something, I can't work like this as I work at a Wetherspoons and it's a lot of physical work.
I'm basically having to have a constant stream of food and not move an inch in order to not puke.

Rustyzilla · 09/09/2014 21:04

Welcome new ladies, and congrats!

lauren glad to hear your spotting is almost over!

Just on train home from work and I carefully chose a carriage where no one was stuffing McDonald's down them only for someone to get on with one and stink out the carriage. OMFG the nausea this has caused me! And the rage! Grin

dancestomyowntune · 09/09/2014 22:05

That's interesting SquattingNeville about morning sickness settling down once the placenta takes over, because I was panicking because I hadn't felt as ill, and at my scan today they could see that the placenta is already doing a good job and taking charge!

cinnamongreyhound · 09/09/2014 22:08

Yay for your scan and no idea about anti sickness meds mamabear0315.

Congratulations kittenmama, sorry to hear you have longer to wait though!

When I lay down there's a definite roundness to my lower tummy but dh reckons he can't see it!

Well that was a rubbish night! Two wee's, dog needed to go out, ds2 got up and I had a nightmare. Early night tonight I think!!

Thinking of you Misty, fingers crossed everythings ok.

BananaToast · 10/09/2014 08:35

Misty that sounds scary, really hope you manage to get a scan this morning. Thinking of you.

I had my first baby dream last night - I had the baby and forgot to tell DH until later that day. It's made it seem more real, like I'm actually going to have a baby at the end of this.

AnniaFausta · 10/09/2014 08:36

I'm sorry, Misty - definitely try to get to your EPU. I hope you don't have to wait too long and that you've spoken to somebody by now.

HippoPottyMouth · 10/09/2014 08:49

Oh misty, very worrying for you Sad
Is it heavy bleeding or just light?
Hope you getting EPU ASAP. Thinking of you.

Lindalove · 10/09/2014 08:49

Misty probably best to stay away from the Doppler for now, but baby's heartbeat should be 150-170 I think and sound like a train, speed is sometimes lower. Placenta whoosh is about 120-130bpm and your heartbeat below 100.
Hope you get some answers ASAP from the NHS & good luck.

Misty okay well that sounds good re the bpm in that case, fingers crossed you can get someone to check you over asap. I think there's a walk-in EPU in London, not sure how far you are away. I think its Guys & St Thomas' - earlypregnancy.org.uk/FindUs2.asp?region=London

LobsterMagnet · 10/09/2014 10:06

Oh Misty, I really hope things go okay. Thinking of you.
