Right, today is officially fired - I'm overemotional, my body's been playing up and I think it's time for bed. Sleep well, everyone!

yorkshirelass82 · 08/09/2014 22:10

Just marking my spot on the new thread. Have been lurking for a while as can't keep up with all the chatter ladies! I'm currently 10+4, have my boooking apt on 19th and waiting for scan date to come through (impatiently!) Was starting to feel better but since this wkend have had a surge in everything! Tiredness, nausea, indigestion and sore boobs! Fingers crossed these are good signs. Hoping to play netball this week but not sure if I'll feel up to it, might have to stick with aqua aerobics...or just bed!

catsofa · 08/09/2014 22:13

BTW why oh why does no one seem to make pregnancy vitamins in plain packaging, or anti-nausea wrist bands that don't look really obviously like anti-nausea wrist bands?

RiverRocks · 09/09/2014 07:18

catsofa There's an American company that make the wristbands to look like a beaded bracelet, they're on Amazon I think, but can't remember the name. I heard of them on here though so you could try a search? Grin
I just popped my pg vitamins out and put them in an old Tesco multivitamin bottom; nobody was any the wiser.

RiverRocks · 09/09/2014 07:21

Found it, they're called queasy beads here

JaneyTea · 09/09/2014 09:02

Morning ladies.

My manager is the only person at work who knows that I'm pregnant. She told me that yesterday, (whilst I was out at a meeting) the announcement about the royal baby had sparked a conversation in the office about who would be the next at work to have a baby. And no one said me, (which my manager thought was hilarious). Why not me?! Whilst I'm glad that it's not as obvious as I feel it is, I'm now wondering why it's so unfeasible that I would be pregnant. Sad

Hello ladies,

Reporting in from my holiday still! I'm eagerly expecting to find a big fat letter on my return with booking information as I will be seven weeks tomorrow.

I live in London, anyone know roughly when the first booking appointment is done?

I'm feeling a lot better today, just hoping it lasts as I needed a few days feeling more normal than not. I haven't been out much and the sofa has been my constant friend lately.

catsofa · 09/09/2014 11:06

RiverRocks thanks, that's the sort of thing I was thinking of. They look totally makeable at home, I might make some and see if there's a market!

Got my booking appt this afternoon and I have a list of things to ask that goes onto a second page Confused. I hope it's like an hour long appointment.

Lindalove · 09/09/2014 12:26

Sairie I had my booking in last week at UCLH, I was 9 weeks 6 days I think.

My tummy is going through a stretch phase again - can feel my uterus expanding today, very crampy! Owch.

I asked about fly jabs on my booking in and they said not to worry, as my first three months would have passed by the end of Sept / when flu risk really kicks in.

Lavendercandles · 09/09/2014 12:51

Nausea has hit a new level. It is just so bad! My fourteen month old spent the day in front of cbeebies so feeling like a bad mummy, but just feel too awful to do anything. Four weeks today until my twelve week scan. Can't wait!

Excited that Kate M is preggo again and hope she has an April due date too. Hope she has a girl!

RiverRocks · 09/09/2014 12:54

Catsofa if it's your first pregnancy, you'll be very lucky to get out of there in an hour! My second pregnancy (previous mmc) so they had a lot of the information on the system already, only 4 months old, and it still took nearer 90 mins. There will be lots of time for your questions Grin

Is anyone else getting bad muscle pain in their pelvis if they sneeze/cough/laugh in any position other than stood completely upright? It's agony to sneeze whilst sat down, and DH put Father Ted on last night while I was laid in bed and I thought I'd never be able to stand up again!

BananaToast · 09/09/2014 12:56

Siarie my booking appointment at St George's Tooting is for when I'm 9+3.

LobsterMagnet · 09/09/2014 13:09

After lurking for so long, I've decided to sign up and post on here! I'm 30, DH is 35, this is our 1st and EDD is 16th April.

Siarie my booking appt is when I'll be 10+1, I've got the first scan a couple of weeks after.

After the first few weeks of extremely sore boobs and horribly spotty face, I feel quite symptomless. Although when I think about it, I suppose I am going to the loo more, gone off food that I normally love and get faint/dizzy if I get up too quickly. I keep wondering whether I actually am pregnant because I'm not experiencing nausea/sickness the way that everyone else seems to be. I should count myself lucky really (and there's still time for it to kick in I suppose!) but I just feel like a fake! Anyone else feel like this?

AnniaFausta · 09/09/2014 13:20

Lobster - apart from yesterday's wee scare, I've been feeling much like you! My nipples are still quite sore/sensitive from time to time, I'm needing to eat a lot of fruit to avoid my stomach misbehaving, and I'm getting a very occasional wave of nausea combined with a bit of light-headedness and getting tired more easily, but other than those things (which could be down to any number of feeling under the weather reasons), I feel more or less as normal! As you say, it makes it quite hard to believe there's actually a small person in there doing the important work of building the major organs ;) I'm enjoying it while it lasts...

dancestomyowntune · 09/09/2014 13:38

So I had a scan this morning and everything is still looking good. They've moved my edd forwards by two days, so now 9+3weeks. I was offered another scan at the EPU in two weeks, but seeing as my 12 am scan should be the week after I declined it. Baby looks grand, the bleed is looking smaller and the cyst isn't growing so I'm happy.

cinnamongreyhound · 09/09/2014 13:59

Ahhh JaneyTea, don't think about it too much!

Congratulations Babiecakes11!

Glad you're feeling a bit better Sairie, hope you can enjoy yours hols a bit more.

Mine was well over an hour Catsofa and that was rushing!

I've been advised to have one LindaLove.

Mine was worst 6-9 weeks Lavendercandles. Generally better now.

You'll be pleased to know the spotting is calming down, it's just a couple of shades off the normal colour now so panic over till next time. Must of been a cervix thing.

Hadnt heard that before SquattingNeville, it stopped at 13wks with ds1 and 16wks with ds2 for me. Has been milder this time definitely.

Good news Lauren82000!

Fab news dances and lauren! And welcome lobster!

Had my booking appt today and was told that because of my PPH with DD I will be under the watch of a consultant and that giving birth at the MLU 2mins from my house is a no no Sad Had my heart set on a water birth at the MLU (started off there with DD but had to be transferred to hospital) so I nearly burst into tears when the mw told me. There's a small chance I might be able to negotiate with the consultant and devise a 'action plan' to take to the MLU but the likelihood of them agreeing is slimSad
