Chatty ladies today!

Cake hugs and cake weeonion

Regarding bra size I have been the same for years, 36D, before DD, during last pregnancy, during feeding and still now pregnant again. Admittedly biggish to begin with so room for milk I think! Grin So bigger bras not necessarily needed when milk comes in but everyone's different :-)

ladydolly · 24/09/2014 17:34

I have no idea what to do about bras, I already wear a G cup, they've not got bigger while pregnant so perhaps they won't when breast feeding?

haventgotaclue1 · 24/09/2014 18:41

Kantha · 24/09/2014 18:54

It could well be that the small of breast (i.e. me) need to get bigger in order to breast feed.

Wee onion - you sound so upset. Sad I hope Twig's Mum (is that the right person) comes up with something . Thanks

Annarose2014 · 24/09/2014 19:24

I have to eat my words, in the past half hour baby made a big movement and turned breech! Bladder getting pounded by tiny feet of fury! Sad

Have started doing those inversions.

amy83firsttimer · 24/09/2014 19:49

Super crap day today. I was knackered from the off after the (good, useful) breastfeeding workshop last night which finished at gone 9. Dragged myself to work to find out we were 2 people down on what I'd thought so stressful day serving the general public alongside my stresshead manager. Culminated in full-on sobs at about 4. Cancelled our dinner plans and made DH cook dinner. Sooooo tired now - midwife / day off tomorrow then 6 more days of work then I'm done.

haventgotaclue1 · 24/09/2014 20:06

Oh Amy you have my complete and utter sympathy.

Also had a mega shite day - got up early (when already feeling shattered) to be in the office for 7.30 so I could prepare for an 8am meeting. Get a text from manager just before 8 cancelling meeting as hadn't had time to prepare for it Angry

Day just went downhill from there. Left just before 6 absolutely knackered. Ended up having curry takeaway and half a tub of Ben and Jerry's for tea Hmm

haventgotaclue1 · 24/09/2014 20:06

PS Am SOOOOOO counting down the 17 working days I have left!

MrsY87 · 24/09/2014 20:24

Hi ladies! Please can I re-join? I posted a couple of times on the first couple of threads but have been lurking ever since.

I'll join those of you in the breech baby club, had a scan on Friday to check my placenta had moved which it had, good news! But MW said amniotic fluid is relatively low so chance of baby turning isn't great, will have to start these spinning baby techniques you mention...is there a specific website with the techniques? Apparently desk jobs aren't good for breech babies either as it means you end up slouching for so much of the day! Oh dear things aren't looking good for me!

I've still got another 4 weeks of work so all of you still working too have my sympathy! It's starting to get tough isn't it Sad

DC1 - 14th Nov - Surprise

pinkgirlythoughts · 24/09/2014 20:25

happy, at my ante-natal classes I was the only one out seven women who didn't know the sex of their baby. I think on this thread most of the ones who found out the sex of baby are the ones who've joined the facebook group?

MrsY87 · 24/09/2014 20:39

Thanks pinkgirlythoughts! Am on my phone and not sure how to copy and paste!

Annarose2014 · 24/09/2014 22:53

MrsY its spinningbabies.com or similar.

I did an inversion tonight & though it didn't "work", baby wriggled solidly for an hour afterwards! So fingers crossed.

I know it doesn't work for everyone though.

excitedforbaba · 25/09/2014 00:19

Oh can someone add me in too please for 15th November! I can't figure copy & paste on my phone Confused xx

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 25/09/2014 07:25

Hi all off work at mo with a sore throat n chesty cough normally would just go in but need the rest.

WinterLover · 25/09/2014 09:32

Grrr I was feeling ok until half an hour ago. In lots of pain, cant work out if its stretching, overdoing it yesterday or periiod type pains.

Currently sat in one position seeing if there is a pattern or if its constant Sad

blamber · 25/09/2014 10:23

Amy and haventgotaclue, sorry you're having such a difficult time at work. 8 am meetings? Who does that? Crazy. Feeling a bit guilty being off work already.

Mrsy87 check out spinningbabies.com/baby-positions/breech-bottoms-up

blamber · 25/09/2014 10:25

Excited, what number dc and do you know gender?

blamber · 25/09/2014 10:25

Winter, hope the pain eases

Kantha · 25/09/2014 11:07

How are you now Winter?

My bras arrived. I only ordered them yesterday morning with free delivery. Currently feeling like I have very comfy boobs! Smilewww.nursingbra-shop.co.uk is recommended!

hotfuzzra · 25/09/2014 11:19

Re bras, I bought a few bigger ones around week 20 but they were so uncomfortable and didn't fit at all. I was so angry at wasting money I keep putting off buying yet more.
Boobs have obviously grown but still fit my normal bras (wearing those bra extenders) so I am hoping to wait until the can't get any bigger before I buy again.
Are they likely to grow again once Baby is here, or just before birth? (I'm one of those atypical women who doesn't like clothes shopping Shock so it partially fills me with dread having to schlep about getting measured and buying more clothes...)
TIA

TwigletFiend · 25/09/2014 11:25

Morning ladies, ok day yesterday except I had to shift two wooden show jumps about 500 yards and they weigh 30kg each and are very awkward to lift. My legs feel very weak today!

I was up at 5:00 this morning to get my pony in before leaving for a conference at 6:15 - am now sitting at our stand in a quiet spell with my head down and a cup of tea, bloody knackered already! Think I'm going to be rather sleepy this afternoon, which doesn't bode well for having to chat to people!

Winter hope you're feeling better.

Crossing fingers for a better day for you, anna!

OP posts:
WinterLover · 25/09/2014 12:05

apparently I wasn't pain free in the night. DP has just asked if im ok because I kept saying awww and wincing in my sleep Sad period pains are getting worse as are Braxton hicks.

Going for a walk after lunch to see if that helps again

WinterLover · 25/09/2014 12:07

I hate bra shopping. Im still in the same bra as pfe pregnancy which is odd because with DS I went from 34G to 36H by 15 weeks. No idea what ill do re bras for the next few weeks if I have a growth spurt but we'll see

Annarose2014 · 25/09/2014 12:10

Thanks Twiglet I had a bad night - lots and lots of shooting groin pain so woke about 5 times and had nightmares in between.

But am having a slow careful morning. This is the secret of mat leave I think - the bad nights don't matter so much cos you can recover.

Does anyone remember those elderly relatives from forrin' climes who were threatening to come over to stay with me in Nov? They've booked their tickets - 9th Nov to 22nd!! Shock

BUT they are staying elsewhere. Unfortunately its a hotel in the next bloody street! But on the other hand they have been well threatened alerted that Anna will be hibernating.

I actually don't feel that stressed about it at the mo. Cos I feel I owe them nothing. And will be making ZERO effort.

Now, I suspect in practise it will be very stressful indeed - jumping when the doorbell goes etc. But DH has taken leave till the 18th so he'll be around to deflect. That helps.

The only troubling thing thats occurred to me.....I'm due on the 1st, right? I met a girl the other day who is also 34 weeks and she's not due till the 7th! Shock And when I calculate I don't think I'm actually 40 wks till the 3rd/4th.

So potentially I could easily not pop till the 9th, when they're here! That would be pretty bad, tbh. I can't possibly avoid them for days and days, but I wouldn't have to if baby was already two (or even three!) weeks old. But a brand new newborn? With me having stitches? And milk coming in and baby blues?? OH HELL NO!

Trying to be Zen..... Grin
