I can't be the only one due in May 2015... So here goes, a shiny new thread.

I have to sneak in here to discuss all things pregnancy/baby related because this is a surprise DC5! Shhhh! Don't tell anyone!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
fififolle · 29/08/2014 10:31

Try not to worry Kitty the firey boobs and nausea are very positive signs. Take care and use it as an excuse to have a chill out day. X

justjodie92 · 29/08/2014 10:47

I'm glad to hear others are struggling with needing to wee in the middle of the night! I wake up at 3am needing the toilet and just can't get back to sleep. I don't even mind though - just so over the moon to finally be pregnant!

I'm going out with a couple of my best friends to celebrate later, we are going to an ice-cream parlour... You can eat ice cream right??!!

Justyouwaitandsee · 29/08/2014 14:03

Hi guys, sorry to go on about this. But I still have no symptoms and am trying not to get anxious about this. In fact, I feel really well and healthy and more energetic than I've felt in a long time (not a stealth boast I promise, as I am actually really worried). Anyone else still in the same position?

Thefourcees · 29/08/2014 15:21

Hi all, congrats to the new bfpers, Justyou I am the same should be 5 weeks tomorrow and no symptoms, I did a clear blu digi yesterday, last week was 1-2 weeks and yesrerday was 2-3 weeks so somethings going on in there.

Today is the first time I've felt so so tired I'm wondering if this is the start of it all. Thats the problem with finding out so early you have so much longer to worry about it all Smile

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 29/08/2014 15:53

Symptoms can take up to 6 weeks or more to kick in. I had none at all at any point with DC1 until the last 3 months which were just a cruel and unusual punishment!

KittyVonCatsington · 29/08/2014 15:59

Ooh, I'm 5 weeks tomorrow too and considering doing another CB Digi to get the 2-3 weeks! Maybe I should wait incase my dates are slightly out though, not sure my nerves could take it! Grin

fififolle · 29/08/2014 16:13

Maybe just do another FRer Kitty then you'll still get the lines that you want with out the worry of the timings. Have you decided about the early scan yet? C

Sarahg1 · 29/08/2014 16:28

Kitty I did my first digi last night and I'm 4+2 and got 2-3 weeks so you should be well into the 2-3 weeks by now I would have thought?

Just totally freaked - last weds I had a Dr appt, the night before got a v v v faint line on an IC and mentioned this to Dr. Had blood test, called on Tues for the result and in light of a couple of other results went to see a trainee who was pretty crap. Just discovered an email from the original Dr in my junk mail saying HCG was so low I need to have it repeated. Called her to see if this is still necessary and she told me off for calling her personal mobile - WHICH WAS THE NUMBER SHE PUT ON THE EMAIL SENT FROM THE SURGERY EMAIL ACCOUNT. Gaah. Anyway the upshot is that apparently I don't need another blood test if I don't want as the pee stick was +, but I feel like I would be more reassured if I did have it.

She also said that if I felt pregnant that's ok. Well I really don't. I had sore nips but they've gone. I did point this out to her, but she was already into her lecture about phoning her.

Someone tell me I'm being neurotic please. Not sure what's wrong with me, I'm so excited about this but can't seem to stop imagining bad things happening. It's like every single neurosis I had in my life before that + has been directed towards this poor bunch of cells desperately craving some positivity. And it's got much worse today, the last few days I've been totally relaxed even when I was very ill the thought of something bad happening never really crossed my mind!

KittyVonCatsington · 29/08/2014 16:49

Oh, you poor thing, you really don't need this! Just remember that HCG levels increase every 48 hours A LOT! They do start off quite low (say 50) then can rise within a few days to the 10s of thousands. To ease your fears, either have another blood test, or maybe wait and get the 3+ on a CB Digi. Either way, the only symptom you need to worry about is heavy blood flow.

That doctor should not have spoken to you like that. Angry

Want to share a Brew and Cake with me?!

KittyVonCatsington · 29/08/2014 16:53

Hi fifi! I've had the pregnancy confirmed by the GP with a urine test and done another ic and it was quite dark for a cheapy! Think I'll treat myself on Sunday with a Digi!
I've made enquiries for a private early scan and waiting to hear back

Justyouwaitandsee · 29/08/2014 16:56

My CB digi showed 2-3wks last Sunday. Do you think that means I'm further ahead than I think I am?!

KittyVonCatsington · 29/08/2014 17:04

Just been on the website: 2-3 weeks means 4-5 weeks and 1-2 weeks therefore means 3-4 weeks. What a way to hedge their bets on the old 4 week mark Hmm

Sarahg1 · 29/08/2014 17:26

Ha kitty just as you were offering cake I had popped into godiva for some chocolates and am now bankrupt (£9 for about 8 chocs!!!)

Yeah it seems 4 weeks is a preg black spot in cb world. I am just trying to remember that because I have short cycles I found out on week 3 and most women don't find out til about week 4 so I need to chill.

Think I may go for the blood test though just to be sure...

Thank god it's the weekend and I won't be bored at my desk over thinking everything.

At least we can have a glass of wine tonight eh? oh hang on... dammit. Shock

SuperDuperJezebel · 29/08/2014 17:33

Hi ladies, well I'm off to the EPU tomorrow, had pretty persistent cramping for the last few days and light bleeding when I wipe for 2 days, getting a bit heavier today. I phoned to ask if I needed an appt and if I should even bother, lovely lady on the phone said I should. Hoping that it's nothing to worry about. Congratulations to all of you newly pregnant ladies!

Sarahg1 · 29/08/2014 17:48
