I can't be the only one due in May 2015... So here goes, a shiny new thread.

I have to sneak in here to discuss all things pregnancy/baby related because this is a surprise DC5! Shhhh! Don't tell anyone!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Craftyrafty · 16/09/2014 20:59

Congratulations to all the new people!

As for me, definitely feeling the symptoms creep in now.
I am absolutely shattered! Very tearful and nauseous.
I'm really struggling to keep my toddler entertained during the day and feel so guilty she's been couped up indoors for the past couple of days with the TV and the same old toys for entertainment. She's also not sleeping well at night and when she has her nap during the day I can't seem to get to sleep.
Feeling really sorry for myself right now, my toddler is refusing to go to sleep, I have a viewing at my house tomorrow and the house is a tip and all I want to do is sleep but know it will take me forever to fall asleep.

Welcome new peeps, and best wishes to those who are suffering especially with sickness - it must be awful.

What a great long list we have! Thank you Kitty for organising.

Still keeping on keeping on here Smile I've had a little more spotting and twisty sort of cramps today, which is unnerving but they did say at the EPU last week not to worry if that happened so I'm trying not to! Feel a bit less tired this evening but I'm putting that down to having worked at home today (no commute, yay). Also really bloated and windy - lovely! Pretty busy until we go on holiday on Monday, and then have another scan when we get back, all being well. Fingers crossed for good news then.

Craftyrafty · 16/09/2014 21:02

Apologies for the overuse of the word 'sleep' in my previous post! As you can tell sleep or a lack of it is definitely getting to me!

2preteendramaqueens · 16/09/2014 21:06

Congratulations to all the newbies Smile
I'm still about iv just been sleeping peeing puking and eating all the time Hmm
I been to the doctors today for my booking in and have been given some anti sickness tablets so I can try a lead a normal life , I hope the rest of you aren't suffering to much Thanks

fififolle · 16/09/2014 21:11

Sounding v positive Piglet, will keep fx for you. Enjoy your holiday.
Crafty don't apologise-you must be exhausted. What time is the viewing? Can you have an early night then blitz in the morning? I'd perhaps not concentrate on falling asleep during nap time, instead, have a lie on the sofa listening to radio 4 and I bet you'll wake up refreshed.
What about taking your daughter out somewhere locally to burn off some of her energy? Local park with sandwiches/soft play place/local cafe for lunch- saves cooking too. Take care x

GinIsCalling · 16/09/2014 21:15

Hi freckle I have terrible nausea too. Have been sick a few times but mostly it's just nausea. I need to keep eating to subdue it, but can only stomach the most boring foods - can't even read about or see food, let alone smell it. Plain pasta, baked potatoes and white bread are about it.
This is v annoying as last time had no morning sickness at all!

ThreeBeesInTheHive · 16/09/2014 21:26

Here's a weird symptom for you. my right wrist really hurts!! it's a really strong deep ache and its making me not want to use it. had the same early on with dd and ds too. why??? how can that be a pregnancy thing?Angry

Drewanna · 16/09/2014 21:31

Hi everyone, can I join too?
Just got my BFP this afternoon. I'm 39 and this is my first. I'm a bit stunned. We've been trying but I didn't dare hope. EDD May 26th.

Is it okay that I'm feeling mild period pain?

Craftyrafty · 16/09/2014 21:43

Fifi- thank you, I'm already in bed with the aim of blitzing the house when I wake up. Viewing is in the morning just after my Dr's appointment. I'm beginning to wonder if it was the right thing to do putting our house on the market now or whether we should have waited a few more weeks until my energy levels were somewhat back up.

Good idea about the nap time issue, I will try that.

As for my daughter, would it be really bad if I say that actually keeping her in is the easier option for me right now. I adore her but she is such a handful when out and about that selfishly I have felt it would be better to stay indoors. I feel too exhausted to do anything. I usually let her run around in the garden but lately she wants me to get up and run around with her!

I take her to stay and play on Thursdays and Fridays and she will be starting morning sessions at pre school from Monday so hopefully I won't feel like such a bad mother come next week.

I hope you are doing well.

BeanCalledPickle · 16/09/2014 21:44

DD kicked me in the stomach and now it hurts. Surely it wouldn't do anything and the little one is able to withstand DDs attention?

Craftyrafty · 16/09/2014 21:46

Three- how strange, pregnancy does do some weird things to women so who knows!
Drew- congratulations! Try not to worry, period like pains are very common.

flowerbombVR · 16/09/2014 21:49

Hi ThreeBees
After reading your post I thought you might like to look into poss Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I suffered this during pregnancy with DS2 and was associated with my pregnancy.
I had no further problems after child birth though it can go on!
Good luck and congratulations to everyone
X

Drewanna · 16/09/2014 21:51

Crafty- thanks. I just needed to check.

Amaxapax · 16/09/2014 22:14

Congratulations to everyone!

This is probably quite silly, because I know I'm very early, but when do most people start experiencing morning sickness and other symptoms? I ask because so far I've had bad headaches, sore breasts and I'm hungrier in the afternoons, but nothing else really. I suppose it makes me nervous that things aren't progressing properly. I appreciate that I'm being totally ridiculous because I just found out two days ago, so it's not like I would suddenly have loads of symptoms. I think I just feel like a bit of a fraud. What if I go to a MW appointment in a few weeks and she tells me I'm crazy?

ThreeBeesInTheHive · 16/09/2014 22:32

thanks flowerbomb I had a google earlier and it came up with the same thing. I'm not too worried as in my previous 2 pregnancies it didn't last very long. It's just weird what pregnancy does to your body!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 16/09/2014 22:40

Hi amaxapax, we have the same edd date (although I find out last week). I am exactly the same as you symptom wise (or not as the case may be). Also a little worried about this but guess it is very early.

beancalledpickle, I'm sure mini bean is very safe, think it would take major trsama to hurt it.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 16/09/2014 22:41

Found out

Major trauma

Bloomin phone.....

BB01 · 17/09/2014 06:42

Sympathies to all those with MS. I am starting to struggle some days now with DD although no vomiting yet. Just feel very sick and weak. I still find it essential to get out with her twice a day or I feel even worse. She doesn't give me a lot of choice anyway - she stands at the door with her shoes in her hand whining til I take her out!!

BB01 · 17/09/2014 06:44

Also struggling to eat normally. Instead of fruit or biscuits for snacks yesterday I had three ice pops, some ice cream and two packets of crisps!

CockBollocks · 17/09/2014 09:39

I have just been to the shop and bought a maple and pecan twist, crumpets, fig rolls and lucozade.

Feel so sick, had a few tears in the night when I went to the toilet. It would just be nice to have a little break from feeling like this Sad

Haily111 · 17/09/2014 10:25

MS has kicked in good and proper here. Feel like poo and cant stomach a lot. Just feel really low with it, as if i don't eat regularly i get the shakes and it makes my anxiety/depression worse. So bit of a wicked circle at the moment.
I am 7 + 3 and haven't heard anything from midwives, hopefully they will be in touch soon. Xx

Threesoundslikealot · 17/09/2014 11:25

I had a GP appointment this morning to discuss my antidepressants. Despite being put on some that are safe in pregnancy she is making noises about coming off them, which bothers me a bit. She also thinks I may have a stress fracture in my foot but doesn't want me to have an x-ray as I'm pregnant so has referred me for physio for which I have to wait weeks and weeks. And I can't run or swim!

Much sympathies to the sick people. I had a bit of a lie in this morning because of my doctor's appointment and felt better for just 30 more minutes in bed.

Haily111 · 17/09/2014 11:33

Three, which ones are you on? I am on Sertraline (50mg) and was on them with my last pregnancy. They tried to wean me off them over a few weeks, but symptoms came back big time so they left me on them. Pregnancy went fine and my son (now 15 months) is fine too x

Justyouwaitandsee · 17/09/2014 11:42

Seems like lots of us have similar symptoms. Just read a post on the April thread (was curious to know how others ahead of us are coping) and someone described their feeling like a permanent month long white wine hangover, which seems about right to me.

Am not feeling too sick today, but still can't motivate myself to get up and about. Have just washed my hair and now trying to summon the energy needed to dry it.

HariboBrenshnio · 17/09/2014 11:53

Hi everyone, can i join? Just making it onto the first thread by the looks of it!

I just got a BFP this morning on a clear blue which says 1 - 2 weeks, so NHS i'd be 4 weeks tomorrow. EDD on the NHS calculator is the 28th of May.

I'm 24, already have an 11 month old DS so it's going to be pretty crazy! I'll read back through the full thread during nap time :)
