I can't be the only one due in May 2015... So here goes, a shiny new thread.

I have to sneak in here to discuss all things pregnancy/baby related because this is a surprise DC5! Shhhh! Don't tell anyone!

So sorry to hear that, biscuit. You've been so positive and optimistic - I'll be keeping fingers crossed for good news for you soon.

Any news from purplegiraffe? Thinking of you.

Welcome new people!

GinIsCalling · 15/09/2014 02:32

So sad to hear about the losses. Hope you are all getting lots of support.

Morning sickness has started here, I made a yummy sweet potato and spinach curry for my family then as I was serving it I threw up in the sink! I just couldn't leave the room in time - needless to say nobody ate much, I put them all off!

I am worried about every twinge, but have my first doctors appointment tomorrow - I'm in the US so under ob/gyn care. Hopefully that will be reassuring, I want them to confirm that I'm not imaging all this!

I find this thread hard to keep up with, but enjoy reading it when I get a chance.

Justyouwaitandsee · 15/09/2014 05:01

Hi Gin - sorry to hear you're suffering with the sickness - and keeping up with the thread (I struggle with keeping up too!) The sickness has improved a but for me, although seems to come and go, but comes on very quickly and I am also very hormonal and ragey. I am feeling very antisocial and my poor DH is having to tread very carefully.

Am now wide awake at 5am after the cat woke me up by landing with a flying leap on my full bladder!

KittyVonCatsington · 15/09/2014 06:28

Sending my love Biscuit. Hope you get a sticky BFP very soon xx

Ouch Just! Not what you need in the morning! Can't face breakfast this morning as I feel so sick, but I know I should eat something...

Fluff How much are double prams? Could you get both?

Thepurplegiraffe · 15/09/2014 06:53

Hi all. Thank you for all your lovely messages of support, they have been much appreciated. Unfortunately I have been bleeding pretty constantly over the weekend so it seems it is all over for me. I am going to try to get through to EPU this morning to confirm everything so I will let you know.

So sorry to hear your news Biscuit , really hope you can get another bfp soon, maybe I will see you on a ttc thread...

Fluffeh · 15/09/2014 07:03

Oh purple I'm hoping for good news for you xx

Gin and just - hopefully the sickness will calm down for you by the second trimester. I only had it between week 6 and 10 last tim. Although I didn't feel amazing towards the end the middle 15 weeks were much easier.

Kitty it really depends on what we want. I'd like a side byside so both can see what's around them but I'm not sure it's very practical with a tiny baby, they look much cosier in a carrycot style pram. I should have thought this through first shouldn't i?haha!
Anyone else gone off something they usually love? I cannot face coffee. Even the smell of it turns my stomach. I only ever have 1 cup around 5am (DD is an early riser) but I'm having to swap it for tea.

Mslad · 15/09/2014 07:16

Biscuit and purple I'm so sorry to read your news. It's awful! Take good care of yourself.

No nausea for me (I kinda wish I did have some) but extreme tiredness, and I've been up since 6 this morning, which is not like me at all!

In good news I've managed to cut down to 1 a day.....no not cigarettes, (thankfully I've never smoked) but poas-ing. Only one per morning and they're nice and strong at the moment.

Here's to another week of time dragging.......

piglet81 · 15/09/2014 07:17

I'm so sorry purplegiraffe. Hope the EPU people are good to you. Flowers

Justyouwaitandsee · 15/09/2014 07:22

Thinking of you purplegiraffe Thanks

BB01 · 15/09/2014 07:31

So sorry Purple, really hope things turn out to be ok.

Really sorry Biscuit but as you say it is great you know it can happen for you. Have lots of fun trying again xx

Threesoundslikealot · 15/09/2014 08:23

Hello. I'm so sorry to read about the losses. Biscuit, I'm glad there is a positive for you. The best of luck to all of you trying again.

Six weeks today and the nausea, which has been mild and background for the last week, has ramped up. I'm also feeling very dizzy; I think I may have low blood pressure as it's on the low side when I'm not pregnant and I know it dips in the first trimester. And tired too. I am so hoping this is the last time I have to go through a first trimester. It's always so vile. No harm at all in wishing the days away in my opinion.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 15/09/2014 08:28

So sorry purple & biscuit, hope you're being well taken care of, it's so very hard but gets better.

mslad I'm poas every second day, no symptoms other than sore boobs. I'm 4+3, think we're roughly the same (is there a stats list I've missed to see who else is roughly same as us?)

ellstor · 15/09/2014 08:31

Bleurgh ! Nausea started yesterday, no vomiting yet but an immense feeling of "get out of my way I'm gonna throw up!"

1st doc appointment on weds- is it wrong that I'm excited??

My dh mentioned a card that enables you to pee anywhere, is this a thing or is he messing with me? Xxx

Threesoundslikealot · 15/09/2014 08:49

There's a card that you can use if you have certain diseases. I think the Kidney Foundation or something like that produces them. I've never heard of a pregnant woman having one!

MsMittens · 15/09/2014 09:19

So sorry purple and biscuit - really hope you can take some time and be kind to yourselves.

I have a big family occasion in Ireland on the weekend, and I am slightly dreading going as I KNOW there will be lots of questions re me not drinking (clearly I look odd without a glass of wine in my hand!) and the fact that our DC1 is 19 months old (so I should clearly already be up the duff by Irish standards).

What excuses have people been using or should I just 'fess up and save myself the hassle? It feels early yet to be making public statements (6+4).

NoRoomForALittleOne · 15/09/2014 09:26

Random thought - isn't it still legal for a pregnant woman to pee in a policeman's helmet of she get's caught short Grin

Unless you're in London, I reckon that you'll find a toilet quicker than a policeman though!

Sunshinesaz86 · 15/09/2014 09:26

morning ladies,

im so sorry for you purple. take care of yourself.

sorry to everyone struggling sickness and nausea, im not quite there yet, i get waves now and then but nothing i cant cope with. however im only 5+2 so may have it to come.

boobs are definitley getting sorer though and a little bigger already and yesterday i had THE RAGE alot, i literally nearly flipped my lid because DP stacked the dishwasher wrong and a plate got jammed when i tried to pull the rack out.........he just didnt say a word and sneaked off upstairs bless him. later on he said he knew it would be hormones so just decided to ignore me. a couple of other minor things too, you would of sworn it was the end of the world haha........totally ridiculous.

Jenni2legs · 15/09/2014 09:52

Due in May, getting a scan this Thursday to see if everything's ok as my last pregnancy was molar.

ThreeBeesInTheHive · 15/09/2014 09:53

anyone else have their morning sickness in the evening?? I literally fell asleep hugging a bowl last night. but feel much better this morning. still slightly queasy but not like I'm about to throw up!

Mslad · 15/09/2014 10:24

Gingerbread I'm 5+1, I think, I'm basing that on being a really late ovulator & only dtd-ing once last month, due to DP travelling a lot with work, and my friends coming to visit and keeping me up late every evening. Who knew just one time would work! Well done for only poas-ing every second day! I now look forward to doing it every morning and over analysing how quick the line comes up and how strong it is. sad I know....

Mittens you could fake an infection / antibiotics, but I think people will guess. As someone with a huge Irish family, conversation usually go something like this: you- 'I'll have a diet coke please' them- 'congratulations, when are you due?'

BB01 · 15/09/2014 11:18

ThreeBees yep, I often feel sickest in the evening and did during my last pg too

BB01 · 15/09/2014 11:19

Good luck for the scan Jenni!

CockBollocks · 15/09/2014 11:34

three I feel sick 24 hours a day Sad even feel sick when I get up for my many wees in the night.

fififolle · 15/09/2014 12:19

Thinking of you today Purple x

I've had my booking appointment today. It was really just lots of questions see my DS birth, medical history etc. I was weighed, CO2 measured and BP measured- v low already! I had bloods done to check for all the nasties and she booked my scan for 20th October.
I have a private scan (for reassurance) tomorrow lunchtime.
I'm feeling very sick today and thought I was going to be first thing, also keep going dizzy due to BP.
Take care everyone. I found that ginger tea was very good when I was pregnant with DS.

fififolle · 15/09/2014 12:20

*re DS birth!
