I can't be the only one due in May 2015... So here goes, a shiny new thread.

I have to sneak in here to discuss all things pregnancy/baby related because this is a surprise DC5! Shhhh! Don't tell anyone!

OP posts:

honeysuckle - I don't tink I'll be as lucky as your nausea free friend! This morning, my nausea has arrived with a vengeance. Can barely stomach some breakfast but know I need something before work! I'm a teacher and my classroom is two flights up from the nearest toilet. Today is going to be interesting...

Welcome Wuthering! Love the name Smile

WutheringFrights · 04/09/2014 06:54

Thanks Kitty - hope you don't feel too rough today, what age do you teach
? Are they old enough to wonder why you keep going green and running to the loo Grin

GinIsCalling · 04/09/2014 06:58

Hello all! I've been off the thread for a few days while the news sank in. It has now and I'm very excited! Have been tired and angry though - anyone else? I really do have rage, but keep telling myself to hold it in as I know I'm being unreasonable. Also I'm not on the list but I think EDD must be around May 8th, and this is DC2.

Whatamuddleduck · 04/09/2014 07:00

Morning all. Can I join you? Just got bfp half an hour ago.
Finding it so hard to believe. Tested on cbfm and got positive!
So I'm due 16th may 2015 with DC 1!
So excited but planning to buy a digi to confirm it tomorrow as one test just doesn't seem enough some how.
I'm amazed, second month ttc, used cbfm for first time and only dtd once during peak time. Was convinced I would only get bfn this month.
Off to carry on staring at the monitor in wonderment x

lp2014 · 04/09/2014 07:01

Welcome and congratulations new boarders!!

Aw kitty I hope you're okay. I don't feel sick yet but struggling to eat a lot. Not been able to finish lunch or dinner this week. Xx

lp2014 · 04/09/2014 07:02

Congratulations duck! !!! Amazing news xx

Ameilius · 04/09/2014 07:48

Congrats Whatamuddleduck and Wuthering Smile

Oo I have a little rage too Gin - I keep thinking people are being so unreasonable and snapping at them... Blush Will have to hold it in. If no one knows you're pregnant yet then no one can give you the benefit of 'it's cos she's pregnant/must be super tired and not feeling very well'

Lots of sympathy to you Kitty, I'm a teacher too, it must be almost impossible to just sit down in the middle of a lesson and wait for the nausea to pass.. Hope you make it through til break time.

MsMittens · 04/09/2014 09:27

Hello lovely people!

Can I please jump on this happy bandwagon? Got my BFP yesterday on a First Response test and TBH I kind of knew it was coming as have felt rough as a badger for the last 10 days and exhausted which was how I felt with DC#1. EDD is 8 May 2015. excited eek

bumpitybumpbump · 04/09/2014 10:48

Hello everyone! I had some great news this morning! Despite shocking bleed a few days ago, my little lentil sized clump has hung on in there. I have to go back for another scan in two weeks as it was to early to see a heartbeat but I was reassured that it all looks normal. But for now we are back on track!! Thank you all for your kind thoughts and messages, I'm really happy to be able to report back happy newsGrin xx

CockBollocks · 04/09/2014 10:52

Thats brilliant news bumpity. Grin

I'm struggling to hold my tummy in at only 5+4, doesn't bode well!!!

piglet81 · 04/09/2014 10:54

Amazing news bumpity! Fingers crossed for you.

I saw the doc this morning and have an appointment with the midwife in four weeks' time. Feels a bit more real now...

Hope everyone's managing OK!

splodge77 · 04/09/2014 11:06

that is brilliant news bumpity! What a relief.
5+4 here too CockBollocks (great name!) and the nausea is just beginning so have brewed up my first ginger tea - highly recommend it, only thing that brought some relief for me last time round: fresh ginger slices, honey and lime juice in boiling water. Yum.

honeysucklejasmine · 04/09/2014 11:16

Oh Kitty! I was a teacher so feel your pain. Do you have a helpful colleague who can keep an ear out for a bit? Or ask for more TA support so you can dash out with difficult classes? Also, should they do a "risk assessment" to check the realities of stairs? I know not being in your room is a PITA but might be worth it temporarily?

honeysucklejasmine · 04/09/2014 11:17

Wow bumpity, that's brilliant! Congratulations!

MsMittens · 04/09/2014 11:27

Super news bumpity - well done little lentil for holding on!

WutheringFrights · 04/09/2014 11:34

Fab news bumpity, they like to keep us on our toes don't they!

CockBollocks · 04/09/2014 12:20

splodge i'm currently sipping on liquorice & peppermint tea!!!!

Threesoundslikealot · 04/09/2014 12:25

Fantastic, bumpity! What lovely news.

Craftyrafty · 04/09/2014 13:09

Great news Bumpity!

Anyone else have sharp twinges and pain to one side? I have had it on and off since early this morning to my right side. I read somewhere it is a common symptom as your ovary expands etc but I can't help but wonder just how much is normal.

I don't want to call a Dr too early but I don't remember this from last time round.

lp2014 · 04/09/2014 13:10

Great bumpity! !!! So pleased for you xx

fififolle · 04/09/2014 13:29

Fantastic news Bumpity so happy for you.
Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations! August really was a busy month Blush.
My nausea has reared it's head today, the thought of the colour lilac made me gag earlier. Just sitting looking at my lunch but not remotely fancying eating it.

piglet81 · 04/09/2014 14:18

Crafty, i would call the doctor/midwife just in case, if you're worrying. I'm totally new to this but am sure they would rather reassure you it's nothing than have you fretting about something. Hope you feel better soon.

MaGratgarlik1983 · 04/09/2014 15:28

Congratulations everyone! And that's such great news Bumpity!

Ooh is liquorice ok? I'm sure I read somewhere not to have too much of it?? But then I am getting really paranoid about foods and things!

I'm on annual leave this week and have been sleeping roughly 12 hours a night plus naps in the early eve! Bbs are getting sorer and bigger and tingling - not complaining though as it's reassuring somehow?! Nauseous as well. I'm 4 + 2 I think but have been feeling queasy for a good week now. I have also been craving lemons and anything lemon-related. Usually they're too sharp for me, but for the last couple of weeks, I've been obsessed with them! Lemon yoghurts, lemon in tea, lemonade, limes as well. Yum!! DH keeps trying things and going 'that's very sharp!'

MaGratgarlik1983 · 04/09/2014 15:36

Also, crazy sense of smell. Went near the rubbish bin earlier and almost hurled!

lp2014 · 04/09/2014 15:42

Hi crafty, I have had lots of twinges today too. Apparently it's normal so I'm not worryin about it xx
