Welcome newcomers!

And fingers crossed BHLS. We're all a bit in the wars lately arent we! Nothing much to report here...just the usual back pain and grumpiness

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 03/10/2014 16:50

Antibiotics have given me stomach cramps all day and I feel so lethargic. Work tomorrow can go to hell, except it can't because I have to be there. Uggghhhh.

I don't have a 28 week midwife appointment and can't get one. The community midwives office assured me three weeks ago that they'd find me a place, but I haven't heard anything. I do have a consultant appointment at 30 weeks so will this do? Then I can try to make a midwife appointment for 34 weeks. I'm sure I'll be shouted at for missing appointments, but if there are no appointments available, what can I do? Waah.

Hello to the newbies!

BHLS - goodness. How are things? Hope all is ok x

stationaryace · 03/10/2014 22:18

Peace, I'd write a line in your notes that you can't get an appointment for 28 weeks and just go for the next available date that they can see you. If they end up seeing you two weeks on the trot that's down to them.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 03/10/2014 23:11

Hi all. That was a fun day. Baby didn't want to play at all. Spent hours on the heart rate monitor and her heart rate kept dipping, especially when I was on my back. Never laying on my back again. Drs were eventually happy that she was ok and sent me home. Am at college at the minute. First weekend of new term so seeing whether I will be able to manage this year or not. I am thinking maybe not this module which covers next 4 months, but maybe summer ones and do this one next year. The centre has put me in their disabled room. Bathroom is huge.

Baby is kicking absolutely fine tonight...the absolute minx.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 03/10/2014 23:15

So relieved to hear from you BHLS

Roonerspism · 04/10/2014 06:50

Glad all is ok BHLS. What did they attribute the dipping heart rate to?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 04/10/2014 07:29

Possibly cord compression. She had A massive wiggle and then it all stayed stable for a long enough period of time that they were happy with. Bloody scary.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 04/10/2014 15:25

I've got dreadful tight pain across my tummy so have escaped to Caffe Nero for salted caramel hot chocolate! It cures all ills (except diabetes).
One and a half hours of work left...

CatFaceCrayola · 05/10/2014 07:24

Argh! Been wide awake since 5am. Not cool. Not cool at all. Am giving in and getting up!

Lucy90 · 05/10/2014 10:01

Im dragging OH out to choose colours for the nursery, i am officially nesting!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 05/10/2014 15:35

Cannot stop throwing up Confused is it morning sickness back again or am I actually ill? Still coughing too :( so wretched.

CallingAllEngels · 05/10/2014 18:10

Glad to hear everything's okay bighairy.

Oh peace - you can't catch a break can you Sad

Finding it hard to keep up with MN at the moment. Lots of lurking but feel like I have too much to focus on. Will be glad when wedding next weekend is over, then I can focus on preparation for my maternity cover.

Baby room is nearly ready. Hopefully going to pick up DS's new furniture tomorrow so we can move baby furniture out and start stocking it with all the things we have stashed in the loft!

CatFaceCrayola · 05/10/2014 20:38

You feeling any better peace?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 05/10/2014 22:23

Not really :/ my tummy is really painful (think i need a support belt to hold it up?) and I'm exhausted and still throwing up at the slightest thing. And my chest hurts from coughing. Had an "I give up" moment with DH earlier but he has no idea what to do with me either. I think if I asked the doctor would sign me off, but I've never taken a sick day at this job, and like I've said before, there isn't anyone to cover me. I've got to work Tuesday, Wednesday morning, Thursday and Friday this week, and tomorrow will be taken up trekking to the hospital for a blood test. I feel utterly wretched and pathetic. Sorry I'm such a moaning Minnie today!
To top everything off, I was about to dye my sister's hair today when she asked me to do a quick nits check (she's a teacher) and we found eggs, so had to go out and buy Hedrin and apply it for her, and check our heads too. Waah.
Thank you for asking after me, though.
Hope everyone else is alright?

Roonerspism · 05/10/2014 23:08

Oh peace. Could it be the m/s? Mine has resurfaced too, although I'm not actually vomiting. It is rotten. I think if your tummy sore too, maybe a trip to docs to see if a bug? Maybe you are exhausted and need some rest?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 05/10/2014 23:12

It could well be morning sickness. It could also be the antibiotics. I think it's exhaustion. Six weeks left.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 06/10/2014 06:08

Peace it doesnt matter about no cover, the world wont end if you are not there. It sounds like you need a few days to rest, get over the cough a d sickness and recharge. Dont feel guilty for it either. You work hard and dont owe them anything. You need to take care of yourself and the baby. xxx

The shop will have to close if I'm not there, and my manager is already threatening to close it permanently because we don't make enough money! I wish I didn't care so much.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 06/10/2014 08:40

Okay I've got a doctors appointment this afternoon. Be brave.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 06/10/2014 08:49

To be fair lovely, it sounds like the inevitable is just being delayed. How will it stay open during your maternity? Its up to management to save it, not you. Running yourself into the ground will help no one. If taking a few days off is the straw that broke the camels back, then I think that camel was already broken. Hugs.
