Hope you feel better today Cat and Peace.

LotsaTuddles · 01/10/2014 10:31

Hope everyone's feeling better today.

I'm having a miserable day today, just feel generally crap, DS was up half the night and then decided to get up at half 5 and I broke my nans locket yesterday, it was her 21st birthday present and she gave it to me for my 21st then died just under a treat later, so was the last birthday present she gave me. I know it's not a big deal and it's only the chain, I just can't believe I was so stupid, I bent down to put something in DS' bag and it got hooked on the handle of pushchair and I stood up and snapped it.

Took it to the jewellers yesterday and they said there's nothing they can do with the chain because it's not solid gold and its so old as soon as they apply heat, it'll break it.

DH said he'd get me a new chain (which is lovely because he's insisting on it being a lovely one that my nan would have picked and loved), but it's not quite the same.

Why am I such a klutz?!?!?!

Sorry if that really made no sense

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 01/10/2014 11:10

Aww Lotsa I understand.

I ordered a new phone last night - thank goodness it was pay day, although I'll have no other treats all month :( So hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow and I can get back to normal. I feel like I've lost a limb without it!

stationaryace · 01/10/2014 13:23

Just realised that it's now 2 months exactly to my EDD Smile And only 15.5 days left in the office. Now that I can get really excited about!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 01/10/2014 17:28

I think I'm losing my mind (what there was left to lose). It's been 24 hours exactly since I broke my phone. Another 24 to go until I have a new one in my hands. Hnnnnngh.

It's my day off, and so far to distract myself from constantly checking my email and MN on my laptop I have watched five back to back episodes of Four In A Bed, spent £50 online shopping (some of it was baby related!), made a lasagne for tea, and baked a Victoria sponge to eat whilst watching Bake Off tonight. I also washed up straight away!

Ideas for what I can do next? I have housework to do, but that doesn't count...

Oh! And this happened yesterday! I met up randomly with another shop manager from my area of shops, and when I asked if she'd heard my news, she said she'd received an email from HR intended for our manager concerning my maternity cover, so yes, she had, but probably shouldn't have. I brushed it off as an innocent mistake (they have the same first name, it's easily done). But when I checked my own email later on, I had received the email too, as had EVERY SHOP IN OUR AREA (manager had mistakenly included it as a fwd email she sent to everyone). I don't know what to do, really! I mean it's not the end of the world as everything is going fine with my pregnancy, and I'm leaving in six weeks, and it's fine for people to know now, but DH is absolutely fuming because of the breach of confidentiality. It is definitely unprofessional at the very least. I don't have a great relationship with my manager and I'm loath to rock the boat and cause a fuss, but at the same time, this is unacceptable, isn't it? Besides, it would have been nice to announce the news myself!

monkeybaby2 · 01/10/2014 18:23

It depends how upset you are about it, as you say it was just a mistake. If it bothers you I'd be after an apology but otherwise is it worth it?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 01/10/2014 20:28

Yeah I know; I guess I was mildly pissed off about it, and then DH made such a fuss that I thought, oh, maybe this is a bigger deal than I first thought...
Whatevs. I'll see tomorrow if I've had any emails about it!

monkeybaby2 · 01/10/2014 21:13

Go with your instincts lovely, sounds like DH is being a bit over protective x

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 02/10/2014 10:51

Morning! I've had a horrible night. Woke up with abdominal pain which really scared me until the baby shifted and my stomach gurgled and the pain went away! Am working from home today as my now limited mobility has forced me to slow down a bit. :(

HOws everyone else doing?

CatFaceCrayola · 02/10/2014 11:23

I actually slept properly last night!!! :D was asleep at a sensible hour and didn't wake up for good at 5am. Actually feeling a little bit refreshed!

Hugmonster82 · 02/10/2014 12:33

Slept really badly too. Whooping cough injection in my left arm is really painful so couldn't get comfy plus kicking baby and snoring husband. Ended up going into the spare room at 5am. Working from home today so went to have a little lie down mid morning and slept for an hour. Oops!

monkeybaby2 · 02/10/2014 13:44

Insomniac monster lurked here too. Woke up about 3 with cogs turning in brain and annoyingly itchy legs and belly. Might have to let the mw know about it as I found out from my sister it can be symptomatic of more serious things.

SassehMonsta · 02/10/2014 18:00

yes, get checked Monkeybaby! Hope insomniacmonster goes away soon guys....

Had a rough week, including my landlady wanting to sell the house we're in. Luckily, letting agents may have found a landlord willing to take us on and offer a decent price on the house to current landlady. Phew. But cue major stress for 2-3 days and manic house tidying! Plus side, my house is tider than ever before, and DH and I now know how much of a mortgage we can get if required (but more savings needed for deposits!).

Moved my maternity leave forwards to next Monday, as all body/brain wants to do is rest and theres little to no work available to me at the moment on my 0 hour contract, so not earning anything/spending all my money on petrol to find out this.

Was ill Tues and Wed, Think Tues was dodgy raspberries in my breakfast, and Wed was dairy in my lunch. Both times bump/rib pain ensued, missed my jabs as was vomiting too much to move from the bahtroom. Urrgh...

Car has flat tyre. At least I noticed at the hospital it was looking flatish and so drove straight home with it. My dad's coming over to fix it this evening (I can do it but my mum has banned me!! apparently pregnant women shouldn't change tyres yawn ) But car is full of stuff for tip run and boot is full of arts n crafts... Oops. Better tidy before he gets here! Means I couldn't take the dog on a planned walk, or get to aquanatal.

Been noting down when baby is most active, as my mum is interested to see if it correlates to babys activity when it arrives :) Can't decide if to go to NCT sale this weekend or not (went to one last weekend, but next town over has one on!).

Currently 29+5, cant wait to not have to worry about work....!

kusmile · 02/10/2014 19:34

Hello, I've just stumbled across this thread, is it alright if I join in? Grin I'm 29+6 at the moment, sitting/sprawling at home all day because work has almost completely dwindled. Such is the life of a pregnant freelancer.

I also don't know anyone who's pregnant and none of my friends here have babies/young kids. Boo.

stationaryace · 02/10/2014 21:23

Hi ksumile.

Been getting stuff ready for moving house today - hired a van and moved a bunch of stuff to the in-law's lock and leave locker until we move into the new place. Even though I only got to selotape boxes and check out the contents I feel pooped.

Currently waiting for OH's birthday cake to finish cooking. He turns 30 tomorrow and I'm sure there's going to be several comments about why we're not having a party etc Because he doesn't want one, we're doing what he wants to which is a day off work going to the Zoo and then a family meal. And our house is pretty much an empty shell. MIL text me to ask if I wanted her to get a cake - I've baked him one for the past 10 years, what makes her think I'm going to forget this year?! She's probably just being nice but I'm hormonal, tired and really really fed up of this low sugar/carb diet. Grrr Angry

Aaaaand breathe...

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 02/10/2014 21:33

I have a phone! Just restoring it from my last back up, which unfortunately was in June D: Back up your phones NOW, guys!
Can't wait to get back on the app - MN web is weird.

I had a baby shopping spree today:
BHS: 5 pack of muslins, 3 pack of stripy 3-6 month sleepsuits, 2 all-in-one style bras for sleeping in
Toys R Us: 4 jersey cot sheets, 4 jersey Moses basket sheets
My charity shop: new 3-6 month bodysuit with sailing boats on it (DH loves sailing, yawn), new 3-6 month tshirt and leggings with cute wee animals on them.

Huzzah.

espa · 02/10/2014 21:57

Never had a nosebleed in my life. Had an 'almost' one the other day, bright red blood but not running. Currently sitting holding my nose after looking like I murdered someone with toilet roll. Random.

monkeybaby2 · 03/10/2014 07:30

hello!

Insomniac monster strikes again, it's really pis sing me off! It's not like I'm not completely knackered already! Sigh...

No word from mw yet on what to do about Itch Fest but she is pt and was going on holiday at some point. Decided I will call the team at the hospital this morning to see what they say. Am hoping I can get blood test and escape as I'm in Norwich this weekend celebrating knowing my bestie for exactly half our lives at the place where we first met.

liesal79 · 03/10/2014 08:37

Hi All

I have had a hell of a month. Firstly I ended up in hospital as they thought I had a blood clot on my lungs - turns out all ok, dispite having to have many scary tests. Now I have been diagnoised with Gestational Diabetes, and been told I will be induced at 38-39 weeks which is very scary, but at least Baby will be here for Christmas! :)

rebelfor · 03/10/2014 10:13

Would it be possible to join, please? I know it's a little late..... Hmm

I'm 27+5, second baby.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 03/10/2014 10:43

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 03/10/2014 10:44

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 03/10/2014 10:59
