Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yeah that's right according to my wee flow chart of appointments, Catface. 28 weeks then 31 weeks. There weren't any appointments available at 28 weeks so I still don't have one booked. I phoned the community midwives office after my 25 week appointment and they said they'd find me a space but not heard anything yet.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 29/09/2014 11:09

Lol wee flow.

LotsaTuddles · 29/09/2014 16:02

I can't remember having any at certain weeks with DS, my mw just booked every 4 weeks and then every 3 weeks I think when I got to a certain point, this time she seems even more blase about it

monkeybaby2 · 29/09/2014 18:29

Not kick counting here as the Diglet is mega active all day. I reckon I'll only start doing it if I feel like he's gone unexpectedly quiet for a few hours.

stationaryace · 29/09/2014 19:38

I'm still every 4 weeks with my next one at 32 - next week! - but I'm also moving out of the area so will need to register at a new practice the next day anyway. Think that will mess up the normal schedule. Plus I'm at the diabetic clinc every two weeks.

Haven't started counting either, I just know the busy periods which are when I'm trying to settle into work for the day and when I'm trying to sleep.

CallingAllEngels · 29/09/2014 19:49

Just had my 27w appt and all fine. Baby seems to like the right side. Next one in 3 weeks at 30w.

Forgot I was pg yesterday and went to pick something up from under the bed and just went full flat on my stomach. Ouch!

Not counting kicks here. Baby is active first thing in the morning and last thing at night and at one to two other points during the day.

Lucy90 · 29/09/2014 19:53

Had 28 week appointment today and anti-D injection.
Baby is most active at night times then gets really excited when she hears her dad talking!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 29/09/2014 19:53

I don't want to be caught out if the midwife asks me if I know the active times! My usual one is on honeymoon and the covering one is a bit stern!

I can't bend over anymore, which is making work pretty difficult! My manager is coming to see me tomorrow so I'm bracing for a telling off...

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 29/09/2014 19:54

That sounded more dramatic than I meant. I can bend over, it's just really uncomfortable and I get dizzy!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 29/09/2014 20:11

Evening all!

Can't believe either that it's all gone so quick... and at the same time seems like I've been pregnant forever!

Metformin has knocked me about a bit so I've gone to bed really early mostly so I can lay flat!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 30/09/2014 10:50

Call me a drama queen, but I'm seriously starting to suspect I've got whooping cough Confused according to Dr Google if you've been vaccinated (I was) you can still get a less severe infection without the whooping, but still vomiting after coughing. DH has been hassling me to go to the doctor but it's so hard getting an appointment to fit around work. I'll try tomorrow.

Hugmonster82 · 30/09/2014 12:16

I don't know much about the vaccine but with some you can get mild symptoms. If you're worried you should just go to the doctor. Screw work-they have to allow it whether it's convenient for them or not. Hope you feel better soon!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 30/09/2014 12:28

Ah no I mean I was vaccinated when I was a baby. I haven't had the pregnancy one yet.

Lucy90 · 30/09/2014 12:37

Had the whooping cough vaccine this morning, i now have a dead arm :(

ots · 30/09/2014 12:40

Hi all, just wanted to pop in and wish you all luck now you're getting closer to the big day :) . I was here in the beginning but lost my baby at 8 weeks. Have been lurking ever since, but just got a positive test (due in June fingers crossed) so feel strong enough now to post.

Lots of love and luck to you all xx

PigletJohn · 30/09/2014 12:50

peace

if you get a really bad coughing fit, record it on your phone.

Apparently it was underreported because doctors would be shown a child (or adult) who wasn't coughing, and disbelieved parents or the patient because they hadn't seen it and thought they were exaggerating.

I had WC very badly as an adult.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 30/09/2014 15:03

Thank you pigletjohn! That's a good idea. I just threw up for the second time today after a coughing fit Confused

MrsW27 · 30/09/2014 15:32

Hi Ots, that's so sweet of you. Glad to hear your good news, I hope all goes well for you Thanks

Roonerspism · 30/09/2014 15:43

Hi Ots. Lovely to hear from you and delighted to hear your news :) I hope you are keeping well.

peace oh goodness. I would go to doc to be sure? Last pregnancy I had a cough I just could not shift and needed an inhaler. Cleared up as soon as I delivered...

SassehMonsta · 30/09/2014 16:35

Hi ots, glad to hear your happy news after last time :) Hurrah for June! :D

I have had a rough two days, including landlady wanting to sell the house (to another landlord if she can) and then a bad bug of some sort today, which scared the crap out of me as pain was across bump and ribs and was like a very strong BH for 20+ mins, with vomiting, followed by some mild BH's. shudder Missed my jab appointment as I was vommitting too much to call them and tell them, and too much pain to communicate with DH to do it... :(

CatFaceCrayola · 30/09/2014 18:27

Great news ots :)

Peace...get thee to the doctors! Sod work!

Lots of poorly people about today. Hooe everyone feels better soon

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 30/09/2014 21:18

Well this is weird... I'm updating from my laptop instead of my phone!

I called 111 and they told me to try to get a telephone appointment with my GP. They didn't pick up the phone in the fifteen minutes I was trying them. Then my phone fell off the counter at work and is completely buggered. 111 said that if I couldn't get an appointment, to get an out of hours appointment tonight, which I did. The doctor simultaneously made me feel stupid for being there and also stupid for leaving it four weeks before seeing a doctor Blush
He listened to my chest and gave me antibiotics, so that's me hopefully sorted. I hate taking antibiotics for no good reason, though, and I'm unsure it's even a bacterial infection. Blah.

monkeybaby2 · 30/09/2014 23:29

Whooping cough is horrid, I had it when I was 7. My jab is next Tuesday.

CatFaceCrayola · 30/09/2014 23:55

Hopefully the antibiotics will help though.

I'm feeling crappy today. Achey and nauseous.

Things FINALLY started moving with regards to MH though today. Saw a counsellor type person. Going again in a fortnight, will see if it's helpful

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/10/2014 07:11

I also finally saw the MH team yesterday. Was a bit horrible as had to do a massive profile thing but I am happy as now I have fallback if anything happens.

Physio next wed. Nothing they can do to speed it up. Just told me to buy a walking stick until I see the physio. Sad

The Scan was fine. Dluid levels back to normal.
