I said at the beginning of the week that this was my last full week of work (going to 4 day weeks from Monday) however I've not really worked a full week this wee either. Had 28w scan on Tues so left work about 1:30, and yesterday had an offsite meeting which finished early so snuck off home about 3pm. Basically I've cheated. :)
Only 21 working days to go...

LisaC2611 · 26/09/2014 08:09

Am jealous Taura. I've still got 8 weeks left and at least 5 of those are going to be full weeks of commuting into London Hmm

Posted this in fb last night but we went and ordered a new kitchen last night being delivered and installed the week of 17 November (2 week installation due to walls having to be knocked down). Should be finished around the 28th. Baby due 6th December. I must be mad!!

At least I'll be at work during the messy work, will be at home while they are fitting the kitchen.

Hugmonster82 · 26/09/2014 09:46

I only have 28 1/2 days left at work. Planning to work from home at least one day a week so at the most only 22 more London commutes. Hurrah!

CatFaceCrayola · 26/09/2014 10:05

Surely at this stage our bodies should be helping us to get lots of sleep in preparation?! But no....it is near impossible to get comfortable, and when you finally do you either get kicked or get heartburn!

monkeybaby2 · 26/09/2014 13:57

Just worked out I have 7.5 working days left spread over three weeks until I leave.

That fucking rocks.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 26/09/2014 14:26

Started me on metaformin. Will apparently make me feel like shit for 48 hours.:( If not normal by wed they will put me onto insulin with no messing. Should get a call from physio over next few hours, and seeing mental health nurse next tues before scan. Apparently as I have been sitting between two departments I've got a bit lost. Will be with diabetic ward from here on in. Induction at 37/38 weeks... in errrrm 7/8 weeks!!! Fuuuuuuuck.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/09/2014 14:36

Having a Clerks week. Mostly been "I assure, we're open" but today is "I'm not even supposed to be here today!"

Doing a behind the scenes seasonal changeover and it's HARRRRD so I have to keep sitting down but I just want to get it all done so we can go home early :(

I got my Manics tickets :)

CatFaceCrayola · 26/09/2014 17:22

Manics tickets sold out everywhere in like 10 minutes...you must've been super speedy!

I've over done it today with nursery painting and nappy washing. Now in pain

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/09/2014 17:44

Catface I was refreshing the page at 9:02am Grin

Roonerspism · 26/09/2014 18:39

Currently in triage with 5 minute braxton hicks. Reckon it is just irritable uterus due to exhaustion. Rather nice just lying here waiting for the doctor whilst it is bedlam at home Grin

bighairy that is soooooooo soon!!!!!!!

28 weeks....

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 26/09/2014 18:53

I know. I am bricking it

espa · 26/09/2014 19:09

I have 19 working days left until I finish at end of October and I'm not even due until 23rd Dec!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/09/2014 19:26

Good luck Rooner. I get terrible pains when I overdo it (worrying about tomorrow at work :() and it's quite frightening. Hope they sort you out. Relax!

Roonerspism · 26/09/2014 19:27

Thanks peace are your pains Braxton hicks like? Or muscular?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 26/09/2014 19:50

Rooner are they keeping you in? hope everything is ok. x

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/09/2014 19:55

Muscular but then I know to stop what I'm doing. I had bad bad bad Braxton hicks one night for about 45 minutes which was really scary.

Roonerspism · 26/09/2014 20:23

Just waiting to see doc.... It's all settled now I have lied down for 2 hours so convinced it is just tiredness...

Midwife told me I was early for braxton hicks. I was like "ermmmm - I have had them since 19 weeks and this is my third baby"

Funnily enough, both times I have gone into labour my waters have broken first. But for me, early contractions are identical to braxton hicks. My braxton hicks hurt!!!!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/09/2014 20:55

All this talk of overdoing it. I totally did today. Three days in a row is too much for me :( especially with a sprained ankle and a chesty cough. I'm in bed aching from head to toe, and baby thinks it's a good time to kick my guts. Thanks wee one.

Roonerspism · 26/09/2014 21:01

What you been doing peace? Don't overdo it with a cough!!

Still waiting for doctor. Asked midwife if there was anywhere I could get a cup of tea and she said no. 5 hours waiting in hospital on my own at 29 weeks and I can't get a cup of tea. Grrr. I wouldn't mind but they are really quiet and all sitting around.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/09/2014 21:12

I manage a charity shop and we had a seasonal changeover today, so sorting through bags of winter stock, processing it all, displaying it, culling and recycling old summer stock. It was mega hard work but there's no one to cover me if I'm not well, so it just has to get done. DH comes in with me on Saturdays so hopefully I will be able to sit down a bit more tomorrow.
Gah I hope you get a cuppa soon!

Roonerspism · 26/09/2014 21:36

You must be fit, peace!!! Maybe that bodes well for labour than if desk bound?

Just been examined by doc - cervix closed, but needs to speak to senior doc.

I swear to god - she couldn't find my cervix - I said, after two kids, my cervix is, ahem, not quite where it should be anymore. She was about 21 and looked terrified Grin

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 26/09/2014 21:44

Omg where does it go after two children? Grin

I am fit in a sense, but I'm also very overweight. So I can run up and down stairs all day without getting out of breath, but I look sweaty and gross.

I'm ready for maternity leave, though.

Taura · 27/09/2014 08:56

Gorgeous sunshiney morning here, lots of jobs about the house to be done. I am going to try not to tire myself out like I did last weekend though. What are you up to?
Also trying not to obsess with worry about the voicemail from the GP surgery "Livia please call us"... either they want to rearrange my flu/pertussis jab or the midwife wants to discuss last week's blood results...

Taura · 27/09/2014 08:57

Oops dropped my real name in there... Facebook people will know anyway :)

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 27/09/2014 09:01

I'm spending the weekend with me mum. Shes not out of bed yet!
