Thanks Twitt and the one fingers crossed the sickness eases off by the second trimester otherwise I don't think I could cope!

Really really pleased it was good news for you both today!

I have my 12 scan next Thursday am both excited and nervous at the same time! I hope I don't have to have a full bladder as I don't think I'll be able to drink enough! (My bladder was completely empty at my 8 weeks scan and it was fine).

lotsoftoast · 28/08/2014 13:41

blondie drop me a pm re fb

so glad to hear that all is well with twitt and theone!

I'm not bothering drinking a huge amount prescan. My sonographer friend said a glass of water (small) 20 mins before is more than sufficient to fill the bladder without making you feel like you might burst

Durham I really feel for you. I'm glad the doc has just signed you straight off though, at least you know you've not got to think about work for the next 3 weeks and can just stay put. Wish we had some helpful tips for you but hg is just so horrendous. I know someone who is 18 weeks and she's had 7 hospital stays so far Sad.

FoscarC · 28/08/2014 14:30

durham take good care of yourself. Rest lots. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. My ms has been minimal compared to yours with just constant nausea and retching but still today I feel like crying as I'm so tired and washed out. I really feel for you. Thanks

FoscarC · 28/08/2014 14:31

Great news in the scan and a fab picture miffy it is just so amazing isn't it. A little thing inside you!!

FoscarC · 28/08/2014 14:32

Sorry, less of a 'thing' and more of a 'baby'!!!

Pinksun12 · 28/08/2014 14:59

twitt and theone so pleased for you!! And congrats miffy on your scan
durham take good care of yourself, hg sounds utterly utterly horrendous!

fourmonthstogo · 28/08/2014 15:04

Yay! All Ok here! New due date is 8 March. So excited and relieved. And for those worrying about full bladders, I had to go out for a wee as it was too full and she couldn't see properly!

ZebraZeebra · 28/08/2014 15:29

theone did you post about your scan on fb this morning?

Crossing my fingers for you twitwoo

ZebraZeebra · 28/08/2014 15:31

Wait! Sorry misses loads of pages somehow!! Good news all round?!

ELA88 · 28/08/2014 15:57

Glad to hear good scan news all round!
Any other teachers telling their heads next week about being pregnant? I'm nervous! Xx

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 28/08/2014 15:58

Lovely news Twit - I'm so happy for both of you.

Toast did you add me to the group? I'm not seeing anything on FB :)

PickledPorcupine · 28/08/2014 16:18

Ela Me! I'm not worried as such because it is what it is and they just have to deal with it but... I'm part of slt and we already have significant gaps for various reasons. We really struggle to recruit as it's a tricky area so I'm concerned about my class getting a new teacher half way through the year. We have a new ht starting officially on Monday, I feel like I might ruin his first day a little!

As for mat leave, I'm hoping to take the full year but the last 3 months will be completely unpaid. We can just about manage and have been saving in case of emergencies and to pay for my holiday addiction.

Miffy79 · 28/08/2014 16:28

Thanks foscar yeah I wasn't convinced there was anything there until we could actually see it! Confused

KeeperOfTheZoo · 28/08/2014 16:34

So glad to see happy news all round today for theone and twitt. Sorry it's not quite such a good day for Durham.

Absolutely exhausted here, really struggling to stay awake this afternoon :-(

pinkandstripey · 28/08/2014 16:35

Yay for scam good news all round :) :) :)

HollyBen · 28/08/2014 16:38

Loads of great scan news today!Smile

I had fun trying to rearrange my 20 week scan. Phoned the number on my letter. They told me they had nothing suitable and were suggesting a place 20 miles away. I live in a large city. They do scans at loads of places but they could only book 2 of them. Advised to see if midwife could help. So rang midwife. Mine is on leave but person I spoke to said nothing they could do. Then gave me a number for the scan dept at the hospital where maternity services are. Took a few attempts to get through. They said no slots there till November but managed to find an apt at a more convenient location for 10th October

Twittwooo · 28/08/2014 17:24

I've started to feel sick again and tired this afternoon. I hope it's a good sign. I'm still pretty nervous, even though the scan was positive, because I'm still passing tissue like stuff and a bit of brown spotting. They did say I could have more bleeding but I'm not sure what the other stuff is - uterine lining? I don't know. I wish I could be completely reassured but trying my best to stay positive. Has your bleeding stopped completely theone?

M27J5M · 28/08/2014 17:29

Lol every time I come in here I'm reading for ages lol need to get on more often! Was gonna reply to a few of you but forget now that I continued reading!

Hope your all well! I've had a horrible day with hobbling about due to sciatica :/ ouchy!

lotsoftoast · 28/08/2014 17:35

zebra no i havent put anything up on facebook about my pregnancy yet as still a few family members i havent told

twitt i had nothing since yeaterday afternoon but (sorry tmi) had a bit of old blood or brown discharge whatever it is today. but there was no sign of any blood at all on my scan

coastergirl · 28/08/2014 18:16

So pleased for all those with good scan news today. Such a relief for you all!

Mypanda I have been referred to a consultant due to my MH too. Should be interesting. Wasn't expecting it at all. It's kind of reassuring to see that they seem to take it more seriously during pregnancy.

Durham so sorry you are still feeling rough. Get well soon.

Foscar sorry you are having a rough day. Makes me even more grateful for your support on FB. Thank you.

I saw the head at my school today, both to discuss the pregnancy and some other issues. I can finally feel a little relief from the crippling anxiety I've had throughout the summer holidays. Exhausted now though.

teaandbiscuitsforme · 28/08/2014 18:20

twitt and theone So relieved for you both!! Fantastic news!!! Hope you can both relax a little bit.

A good day with all the other scans as well. Happy March thread!

ELA I've been in school all week! as has my head. Not plucked up the courage to go for the chat though!

About maternity pay... I wish I'd stayed in my old school, I'm going to be on 6 weeks at 90% then SMP. Rubbish! Think I'll be taking Feb half term to the week before Christmas off. I'd love a year but not sure DH will agree!

MyPandaisasecretmonster · 28/08/2014 18:41

Coaster Yeah I was kinda surprised as I usually have to fight to even be considered for seeing anybody
