Amazed and delighted to report that we also saw our baby measuring 9+3 with a strong heartbeat! What an emotional few hours but we are so relieved. I was genuinely prepared for the worst. It seems it's a bleed from implantation bruising. Still feeling a bit nervous but delighted! Good luck to others with scans today. xx

MyPandaisasecretmonster · 28/08/2014 11:33

That's great news theone

Fingers crossed for you twitt Thanks

Just back from my booking in appointment & my midwife is really nice , I've been referred to a consultant due to my MH so that should be fun Hmm

Midwife also dates me at 12+2 & has. marked my scan referral as urgent so hopefully that will be in the next two weeks at the most

MyPandaisasecretmonster · 28/08/2014 11:34

Breathing a huge sigh of relief over here! So pleased it was good news for you too twitt

junkfoodaddict · 28/08/2014 12:14

So pleased to hear about the good news scans for theonewiththenoisychild and Twittwoo. I am struggling with pelvic pain/sciatica. I did get sciatica with DS at exactly the same time.
Mat leave - wish I was civil service or in my DH's company (power station). Civil service friend gets 9 months full pay and DH's mat leave is far better than mine - more weeks full pay.
I am taking the full 39 weeks off for definite which should take me to mid-November 2015. I get 4 weeks at 100%, 2 weeks at 90%, 12 weeks at 50% PLUS SMP, then the remaining 21 weeks at just SMP. We are hoping that we can stretch to a few more weeks off so i only go back for half a week before Christmas 2015 before starting back full time again in January.

FoscarC · 28/08/2014 12:15

All such wonderful news!! I really am so happy and relieved for you both. Must have been a horrid last 24hrs. Go home and relax and celebrate. Such a good day!!!

I feel awful today. Very emotional and angry and sad and hungry but all food tastes gross. I just want to hide in a little ball and have a big cry and come out again tomorrow.

m33r · 28/08/2014 12:18

Brilliant news twitt!!

PickledPorcupine · 28/08/2014 12:20

Durham you're not doing very well are you?! Well done for trying today but time to listen to the doc. Lots of rest, crap tv, books, magazines. Really hope you start to feel more normal soon xx

theonewiththenoisychild · 28/08/2014 12:25

Twittwooo · 28/08/2014 12:30

Thanks so much for the kind messages everyone. fos - it's been less than 24 hours for me. Bleeding at 9pm last night and seen before midday today. I have to say that, in my experience, the NHS and their staff do a wonderful, wonderful job and I feel very privileged to live in a country where we get such an amazing service.

Twittwooo · 28/08/2014 12:31

theone - it's nice that we're due date buddies! Here's to two very happy and healthy pregnancies (fingers crossed).

theonewiththenoisychild · 28/08/2014 12:37

DurhamRed · 28/08/2014 13:03

pickled I'm not doing very well at all. I've been signed off work for almost 6 weeks due to hyperemesis, now off for another 3. No sign of sickness easing off at all. I really don't know what to do with myself, feeling so miserable and tired. Sad

theonewiththenoisychild · 28/08/2014 13:10

durham hope you feel better soon Thanks

Lifeisabeach · 28/08/2014 13:16

That's brilliant news Twitt and theone, I'm so pleased for you both! Am out at a park with the DCs, accidentally left my phone in the car and made them walk all the way back so I could check this thread!!

blondie1001 · 28/08/2014 13:23

So happy to see two lots of good news (and six extra pages since I last logged on). Great news twitt and theone!

blondie1001 · 28/08/2014 13:24

Can someone remind me who I need to contact to join the FB group? I think it's buried on one of the other threads.

Twittwooo · 28/08/2014 13:29

Your poor children lifesabeach! Durham - I can't imagine how awful you must be feeling. 'Normal' morning sickness is bad enough. Take it easy and I hope it improves soon. Enjoy your tea out theone!
