I've now had two days of slightly reduced sickness and am feeling ok-ish this morning too at 10+6. Hoping it will stay at this level when I go back to work tomorrow. I'm kind of thinking I may just be feeling more human because I've had a few days off.... not because the MS is stopping!

My mum's been here for the past 5 days. I've been lectured on what I should and shouldn't be doing in every possible way - is anyone else getting that? It's kind of sweet, but I'm not ready for all of this yet. Just want my scan now to know this is actually real!

In other news: My low-cut jeans are completely unwearable, impossible to do up and even if I use a hair tie to close them, they ride down really badly and I look like a caricature.

ZebraZeebra · 26/08/2014 08:57

Mmmm yes second breakfast. Elevenses.

It was really awful - he's not anyone I know in real life so that minefield was avoided but he was really over weight and fumbling around with the condom. I think I was at uni or something like that and just having a one night stand. It was so rubbish! My husband is a beautiful man - why am I dreaming about bad sex with unattractive, sweaty, overweight guys?? And I don't want to be all fattist but he was REALLY overweight.

Poor toavoid I haven't had hp but have been very ill for about nine weeks and atruggled to look after DS. My wonderful mil had to take a week off work to look after us both around week nine. Poor you. Hopefully it will pass soon.

pinkandstripey · 26/08/2014 08:57

theonewiththenoisychild · 26/08/2014 09:25

i had a very rubbish day yesterday. we went on a day trip. morning sickness was awful on the coach and was actually sick 4 times. good job there was a toilet. not so good that while in there i got rattled around like a pea ina tin Sad then all day i had bad back pain. me feet were sore and it was misserable. we didnt even go on the beach as the weather wasnt very nice Sad in a grumpy mood today now

pinkandstripey · 26/08/2014 09:30

Ooh, a see through bump would be weird!!! Not sure about that...

MyPandaisasecretmonster · 26/08/2014 09:43

Morning everybody Smile

12 Weeks today , I have my booking in appointment on Thursday so hopefully I will get a scan before the end of the year Grin

Is anybody else finding it impossible to sleep ?
I just can't get comfy & everything aches beyond belief also doesn't help that I'm sleeping really light as well so the slightest noise and I'm awake Sad

lotsoftoast · 26/08/2014 09:54

Between the toddler, needing to wee a million times and my snoring dh, sleep seems impossible sometimes!

God we are a cheery bunch today - is it post bank holidayitis?

Another one here with a toddler who didn't sleep well last night. My mum has offered to have him overnight tomorrow and I might take her up on it. My morning sickness is always so much worse when I'm tired. Another few weeks and hopefully the worst will be behind me. prays it doesn't go on until 20 weeks like it did with DS

welcome toavoid

eww zebra that sounds really gross!

persepolis123 · 26/08/2014 10:07

don't know why that sentence is in bold Hmm

M27J5M · 26/08/2014 10:14

Good morning all Smile sorry to those feeling crappy today, that was me yest but happy to say today is a much better day Smile

Rainbow555 · 26/08/2014 10:27

I'm afraid I can't add much to the cheer :( I can't stop crying! Feeling very pathetic and over it. Clearly the hormones are raging, most day the sickness, stomach ache, hunger and lack of enthusiasm for food is tolerable, but not today. Poor DH has no idea why I keep crying over having to eat!
I feel quite ridiculous but dr google assures me it is normal in first tri??
Still tomorrow is another day and hopefully it will be a brighter one!

M27J5M · 26/08/2014 10:35

Sorry to hear that rainbow, hopefully it passes soon!

ToAvoidConversation · 26/08/2014 11:00

Rainbow that is my day all day. Yesterday I was having a good day and managed to eat and choose my own food but today nothings on the 'I want' menu. I've gone from a total foodie to hating the whole concept of food.

Rainbow555 · 26/08/2014 11:21

toavoid yup totally hate food most days! yesterday was a little better but back to square one today. If I wasn't hungry it wouldn't be an issue, I ate an hour and half ago and I am hungry again
Will we ever love good again?? Gah!

Surfsup1 · 26/08/2014 11:49

Hello to the other Australian ladies - just wanted to know if you watched the recent Catalyst series on gut health? I just watched the 2nd episode and I'm a bit blown away!
So it seems I need to radically increase my intake of fibre and vinegar to help prevent asthma etc in the bub!!?? Wow! Off to buy some bran, beans and vinaigrette!

coastergirl · 26/08/2014 12:05

The food thing is a strange one. I'm usually such a foodie, but not fancying anything at the moment. it's not as if it's caused by sickness/nausea for me because I haven't had any.

I completely underestimated the emotional effect the hormones would have on me :-( I've no idea who I am!

Surfsup1 · 26/08/2014 12:13

Sympathies to everyone who's having all these food issues. I've been a little bit off, but I can't complain in comparison to some of you. Crossing fingers and toes that you all start to feel normal again soon, or as normal as pregnant people can be anyway!

I changed my pregnancy supplement recently and I feel much better now as it doesn't make me gag and it doesn't make me constipated like the last one did.

Is anyone else having issues with their internal thermostat? I'm all over the place! Freezing cold one minute boiling hot the next - can you be pregnant and menopausal?

Pinksun12 · 26/08/2014 12:40

surfsup I go from shivering to really hot all the time! Wasn't sure if this had anything to do with the pregnancy, don't I had it in my last pregnancies. But I'm so glad for any symptoms at all so at least there might be a chance I'm still pregnant. So I'm glad you've got the same!

Surfsup1 · 26/08/2014 13:25

Pinksun - I googled it and apparently it's not super-common, but def a pregnancy symptom. I didn't have it in previous pregnancies either. I'm wondering if that means this one is a girl (had 2 boys before) - this pregnancy doesn't feel like the others.

mariomadmum · 26/08/2014 13:32

I'm exactly the same with not wanting to eat, I need to eat to keep nausea at bay but theres nothing I really want. when I do eat I dont enjoy it. I have gone off so many things, I made a cottage pie yesterday and the smell of it while I was cooking made me feel sick so when it came to eating it I couldnt face it.
I usually love to eat Sad

mariomadmum · 26/08/2014 13:33

massively overused the word 'eat' in that post lol

Lifeisabeach · 26/08/2014 13:46

Glad it's not just me who doesn't fancy anything to eat, but feels constantly hungry and needs food to stave off nausea! The one thing I am loving is jacket potatoes, so am pretty much living on them at the moment.

I'm 10 weeks today, and my app says baby is now a foetus. Still no scan date through the post. Would really like to know when it's going to be as DD is doing part time at school for the first 2 weeks and I might need to sort out childcare.

littlemissy12345 · 26/08/2014 13:48

I've been freezing too. Could be that I've been used to the hot Canary Islands and I'm now back in dreary England! Had to have a bath last night to warm up and then panicked about it being too hot. I was red hot last pregnancy - with my DD! I read cold feet is a boy thing but if I believed everything I read I'd be in trouble.

Pinksun12 · 26/08/2014 13:57

surfsup oooh! I have two boys as well already, so maybe we do have a girl on the way! Although pregnancies #1 and #2 were also very different and they both turned out to be boys. (And secretly I'd love another boy...)

littlemissy12345 · 26/08/2014 14:08

Any teachers out there already dreading next week? I'm sitting analysing data and panicking that I won't be able to stand in front of a class without puking. I'll be 10+2 when I hope back.
