Diva is it the post from someone saying you have to take responsibilty for your ex partner's behaviour? If so, they are talking out of their a**e.

divastrop · 08/10/2006 14:36

thanks for your support ladies.i just thought that was a really nasty comment about accepting my part in the effect of xp's abuse on ds1's behaviour.
i like a good debate on here as long as its not about personal issues!
i dont know how to do links to other threads either.u will have to give us all a lesson, kitty

kittywits · 08/10/2006 17:48

I worked out links it's easy, here's how: bring up the page of the thread to want to link to. Copy the page info from the bar at the top of the page, then go to the page you want to post it on. Then follow the instuctions in the box, i.e. \link{ now click paste\ write how you want to descibe the link}
Does that make sense?
I'll have another look for that post.

TheBlonde · 08/10/2006 21:04

Hello, I'm here
Sorry busy gawping at the Huge Mistake thread

eidsvold · 08/10/2006 21:27

fatfox nah it will be coming into autumn - such as it is - so high summer will be through my third trimester. Not planned that well.

Dd2 was born Nov so the start of the real heat - so planned that one better.

found foot spray and frozen face washers work wonders - keep the back of the neck cool!!! helps cool you down a little.

thankfully our play room/tv room is down stairs and is lovely and cool in the summer - so we hang out there most of the summer or out on our deck - great afternoon breezes.

last time bought a hammock so spent a lot of time lazing on that.

eidsvold · 08/10/2006 21:30

oops meant to say most of my antenatal care was at the local hosp and they were fab. just had some scans at kings but they were great too.

My m idwife was absolutely fabulous - even though my care was taken out of her hands - due to heart defect and down syndrome. Then she moved towards the end of my pregnancy. She still made the effort to come and see me and dd1 in hospital. Midwife was very mother led in terms of antenatal care, very supportive and so helpful.

booking in appt this morning - be interesting to see what they make of my history and what the hospital midwife suggests as next course of action.

15+3

fatfox · 08/10/2006 22:24

Eids - a friend of mine had her DS1 in Oz and she also said her midwife was geat. She's worked with lots of Aboriginal women and tried to encourage my friend to have a natural birth. They're still friends 7 years later and meet up when my friend's in Oz. BTW, I saw the pic of your DD on another thread and she's absolutely lovely! How old is she now (It was her birthday picture, but can I remember her age? - sorry, my brain is PG too)? Was chatting with same friend tonight on the phone and she had her scan for her last baby on Medicare whilt in Oz

What degree is her Downs? My brother is what used to be called, slightly offensively IMHO, "high grade" - meaning he's pretty independent. He's 42 in Feb!!

eidsvold · 08/10/2006 22:26

she was 4 in August - we think she is pretty high functioning. As I type this she is watching hi-5 and singing and dancing in the lounge room.

fatfox · 08/10/2006 22:26

ps Eids I had DD in the heatwave here 3 years ago and remember I couldn't go out with her until 4pm each day, it was so hot

You'll have to float around the house serenely like a fat magggot in the heat

fatfox · 08/10/2006 22:27

Mine both love Hi 5!! (so do I sometimes)

eidsvold · 08/10/2006 22:29

er absolute favourite are the wiggles - think she has od'ed on them over the past couple of weeks.

Hi-5 was on sky and that is her 1/2 hour in the morning tv whilst I check email etc.

am off to feed two little monkeys.

fatfox · 08/10/2006 22:31
