kittywits · 18/09/2006 16:29

is it this one ?

kittywits · 18/09/2006 16:31

It makes sense 'cos I'm due not to give birth on 21/3 and I'm 13+5

anniediv · 18/09/2006 16:34

That's the one kittywits. Thank god for the world cup or I wouldn't have a clue when I'm due.

As for getting him to have the snip, 2 days after he had it done, I found out I was pregnant Very responsible and organised, we are!!

kittywits · 18/09/2006 17:36

Somehow the words horse stable door and bolted come to mind

pennygaff · 18/09/2006 17:55

Hi Girls
Glad to see a new thread and thats it already really long!
Had my scan today, great news baby is fine I have a 1:2400 chance of downs which is same as a 15 yr old! Yeay I am 31.
had to go out for a coffee, run, jump about because it was'nt into moving...and the best thing we all clearly saw its Willy!! radiographer said thats a boy! wow was amazing they never say that!
and last night I felt a tiny thud (kick?) so I am made up today.

pennygaff · 18/09/2006 17:56

Oh I am now due on 22/ March. Anyone else?

kittywits · 18/09/2006 18:08

Wow Penny, they could tell the sex already?
He must have a giant willy, bet his dad's chuffed!!!! I've occasionally thought I've felt something. but as I rarely sit still I can't be sure! That's great news all round

kittywits · 18/09/2006 18:08

BTW I'm 21st march

fatfox · 18/09/2006 18:32

Booboo- sorry you're still feeling so sick, you poor thing

Penny glad your NT went well and you have felt the first stirrings

Kitty/Sassi - IKWYM about low sex drive!!!!!

Each day another mumtobe on this thread is feeling those litle kicks; its great isn't it?

onilly · 18/09/2006 19:18

ooooh boy I have a fit of the giggles reading your messages.... our poor men. Poor buggers. We are hardly rampant sex goddesses are we ? Whew for that!
Sassi, DollyP, Annie, Boo, Kitty - I have had a giggle!
Fatfox - three bog orgasms on your own terms, blimey !

DollyP - your MW sucks a bit, did she know it was your b-day.... bloody hell !

Penny - how lovely - CANNOT wait to feel babe kick and find boy or girl.

Whew what a day. This thread has right cheered me up. I am still at work and dont think I will be away for much longer.... oh well, I cant complain - I have been a bit daft lately and hardly operating at 100%...

Jaysecond · 18/09/2006 20:13

hiya ladies, just checking in, cant beleive how much is on the 'ew' thread already, oh how i long to be able to sit for a few hrs on here. I remember when i was preggers with DD i seemed to be on here all the time, but what with her and the house move and coountless other things i never seem to find the time hope i dont miss anything exciting...
Penny @ finding out the sex already, how exciting, i want to find out but couldnt see anything at my first scan you can be thinkinng of names now!
Had a visit from the MW today, shes not my 'assigned' MW but one from the 'team' of MW's she was ok, very matter of fact type. I aked if we could listen to the heart but she told me that its not now practise to listen before 18/20 weeks, apparently this came into effect this April. I heard DD's at about 14 weeks last yr, things change so quick, has anyone else had this? She also said i can have a test for Spina bifida in two weeks time, anyone else had this also?

Had a new Tempur mattress delivered today, i cant wait to go to bed tonight now, obviously to sleep on it, by no means anything more!!! i read some of the thread re 'that thing we all did to get here in the first place' with DD i was alwasy wanting it, poor DH thought his christmas's had come at once, this time though, i think he thinks i have turned into scrooge!! Am just so tired, like some others and all i want is sleep. I dont even have the erotic dreams to help me out.... god i dreamt that my DH best mate was having an affair with my ex boyfriends sister the other night.............now thats just plain STRANGE!!!!

dollyp · 18/09/2006 20:17

Well I am feeling much more positive now than i have felt for ages. Still feeling a bit sick (naturally) but for some reason I think it might be OK. Have booked a haircut for Wed whilst DD at nursery and then seeing a friend's lovely twin boys (born last Mon at 7lbs each ) on Thursday. Sorry about all the moaning I have been doing. It's great to have an outlet to sound off.

Booboo, I wonder if you are at the same Dr's as me....the Brockwell Park surgery? Let me know. Sorry you are still feeling pants. I am not far from you in glorious w Dulwich so if there is anything you need or if you just fancy a cup of coffee and a moan at Mimosa, let me know.

BTW, did we ever decide about the Christmas party? And what about a meeting of the Sarf london massive (with guests from anywhere else who can make it?) ?

Hope you all have a good evening. Take care XXX

novadandypowder · 18/09/2006 20:18

I'm so bad, I read the messages then make a mental note of replies, only to forget who said what so apologies if none of this is personalised .

Congrats on the good scan news

Boo to horrible midwives

Sex? Whats that then? Done it once since conception and that was before we found out I was pg. DH very understanding due to my sickness and tiredness, but I haven't told him that I'm also really scared of doing it in case something goes wrong. It's a pretty irrational fear, but I'd rather err on the side of caution.

I also feel really unattractive when pg, but I do make up for it once the baby is here. Ironically I have been feeling very horny, but tend to 'ahem' sort myself out .

oo Jay, we're having a tempur matress delivered on wednesday. Sadly it means DH will want back into the bedroom so there go my peaceful nights.

pennygaff · 18/09/2006 20:22

yes willy was quite visable, he got hiccups too was very cute!
As for sex well I have tried it since and it compares to drying dishes for me....I'd rather have a nice sit down and a cup of tea.

divastrop · 18/09/2006 20:22

hello ladies.

sex....hmmmm.it still happens but we are both so tired by bedtime that its becoming more like about 3 or 4 times a week rather than every night like a month ago
but we havent been together that long really so i suppose its normal to be at it as often as possible!

i saw a friend today whom ive not seen since b4 the summer hols, and she noticed i was pregnant.i was shocked!

my dp wants to get the snip but i doubt very much they will allow it cos he's too young.i want to get steralised after this baby but i dont know how long ill have to wait.

TheBlonde · 18/09/2006 20:23

Hello all, so much to read!

DollyP - I don't fancy the big xmas do but would be happy to meet up with folks from this thread otherwise

Still feeling sick here but less actual vomming so that's good
Off to see the Consultant Obs on Thurs

kittywits · 18/09/2006 20:37

Every night? Three or four times a week? Bloody hell Diva! I had to read your post again. If I were talking now I'd be speechless!!! . Well lady I bow down to you. If I get it once a month I count myself lucky .
Still, you're young aren't you? Yes that's it. I feel a tiny little bit better now, but not much

divastrop · 18/09/2006 21:10

lol-im 29 which i dont think is young but dp is young, only 23.when he saw his gp about the snip he told him all the kids were his...he wanted the doc to agree to it and thought it would sound better, till i pointed out that when ds1 was concieved,dp was 14 and i was 20.

LaidbackinAsia · 18/09/2006 21:18

A new thread..... Hooray ! Just got back from a fantastic time at my friends wedding in Sicily . It was amazing and moving and everything a good wedding should be. BUT MY GOD... the food was never ending - and despite "pacing myself" I feared that I would have to ask for the special extension seat belt on the plane on the way home . Luckily managed to cram myself in

I am also lucky in that my horniness remains when pregnant and we are at it quite a bit ...daily if poss. Night time sex is irregular... but because we both ahem... "work from home" we can schedule in a "matinee" session whilst my DS1 is out playing footy and my DS2 is having his nap. Naughty by nice... in the words of Mr Kipling....

Have midwife coming round tomorrow for home visit at my mums house. My mum sat me down today for a "I'm worried that you might try and have this baby alone in the jungle .." chat today and reminded me that subsequent babies tend to be - (but are not always ) bigger....my last was 10lb 4. I do not intend to risk myself or this babe - so if I need to come back to the UK or have a c section I will. BUT FFS how big can a baby get - I've heard of 12lb 'ers but they are few and far between ....Aren't they ???? { awaits reassurance from other wise March threaders}

EDD 12/3 I think

divastrop · 18/09/2006 22:32

i was worried after having an 8lb 11 2nd baby that the next would be huge, but ds2 was 7lb 12 and dd2 was only 6lb 13.and those 3 were all born at 38 weeks.

divastrop · 18/09/2006 22:35

laidback-thank you for making me feel less like a nymphomaniac

eidsvold · 19/09/2006 00:12

anniediv - no real sickness - unless prompted by some vile smell or something like that iyswim.

Just tired but I have an almost 2 yo and a 4yo with special needs who has a very busy life so I am kept busy with those monkeys.

No midwie to worry about here.

Here in QLd you can chose to have

  1. solely hospital care - all appts with midwives at hosp - not always the same one - a few appts with consultant.

  2. Shared care - have GP and hosp care - what I am doing - whereby most of my appts are at the GP's - not even 5 minutes down the road and I think it is 4 appts at the hospital - up to an hours drive away depending on the traffic. Did this last time with dd2.

  3. SOme people go private which is obstetrician care ( friend of mine had this)

Home births are very rare - there is a unit attached to the main hospital that is midwife led and more a birthing centre than a hosp but it is very hard to get into and you are to be very very low risk - not me - as I am looking at 3rd c-section!!

fatfox · 19/09/2006 06:11

Diva - what a woman, what a Diva!! I note that your DP is in his prime though. We're more in the "once a month, whether we need it or not" camp.

Woke up at 4.15am this morning, with itchy mosquito bites all over my feet. Mind you, I enjoyed 20 minutes of glorious and feverish scratching of bites with no one to tell me off about it. In fact at the moment, scratching those bites was the most "satisfaction" I've had since that dream about our priest
