Dolly, I'm up for a meet. Can drive to sarf London on the old sarf circular, if free on the date chosen.

I'm interested in the Xmas meet as well, just still feeling a bit vague and non commital about it at the mo'.

fatfox · 19/09/2006 06:15

Hi Eivs

cazboldy · 19/09/2006 09:35

Hi all, just had a phone call from the mw who said that my booking paperwork got lost! hence why no scan date yet. Anyway she is coming to see me at lunchtime so hopefully she will get it sorted this time!

Booboobedoo · 19/09/2006 10:05

Hi ladies.

Cazboldy: . How crap! Hope they get it all sorted asap, and you get a big, fat apology.

Hi Dolly: yep, Brockwell Park Surgery! Dr Bruml, to be precise (she's my favourite GP ever). What an enormous coincidence! How unlikely is it to 'meet' someone due the same month who live 'round the corner and shares the same surgery online? A meet-up would be lovely! I'm generally free on Thursdays, but not the next two. How about the one after that? Are you around then, fatfox? Anyone else?

How nice .

Was sick again before bed last night: will it never end? Yuck yuck yuck.

Diva & Laidback: most impressed by your sex-lives. At least someone's still getting it. You can carry the flag for the rest of us.

Penny: congrats on your scan results, and double-congrats on your little boy. Aaaah. Any name ideas yet?...

onilly · 19/09/2006 10:26

hi chatty ladies,

Again I am hugely cheered that bonking is not a regular occurance for the majority of us... indeed Diva and Laid - may I worship at your feet!! Fatfox, you really make me laugh!

Am feeling quite alot better today - nearly normal...I think you were all right (again) about the cramps last Weekend - they must have been growing pains - I have literally outgrown my clothes overnight.

Are any of you guys in maternity gear yet ? How do you get round the clothing issue ? I have progressed to elastic bands and safety pins but fear this is very short term measure. If only the Postie knew where I got my elastic bands from - the red ones around his letters ! I am most amused.... I guess you have to be there to see it. Bright red elastic band keeping up my suit pants... scavenged from the road outside!!

I had a fairly important meeting this morning that culminated as a crisis in my wardrobe. Not one single suit fits me anymore. Help !

I have MW appointment this Thursday. Oh joy, am looking forward to it, if anything to hear a heartbeat.

leogaela · 19/09/2006 11:07

I'm back ! Wow, so much to catch up on! I'll do my best to read through before I post more!

SassiLils · 19/09/2006 11:08

Morning All,

Bit busy at work today, have read all of the lastest posts and been giggling to myself. Nova- you make me laugh so much, drying dishes and sorting yourself out glad i'm not the only one doing that sort of thing ...it's alot less messier, don't you think

Sorry unable to keep check on names, but congrats on the scan and Baby boy...do share your names please...I just love thinking about names, doing DP head in constantly asking him if he likes such and such.

I'm in maternity stuff already, I don't htink i'd be able to elastic my normal jeans etc, cos my bum and things think they are supposed to expand rapidly too

SassiLils · 19/09/2006 11:10

that meant to read my bum and THIGHS!! although lots of other things are growing...

Rosylily · 19/09/2006 11:11

Cazboldy I hope it will be full steam ahead now for you. I guess lost paperwork is bound to happen sometimes. Bit of a bummer though.

I've tried to keep still and concentrate but still can't feel movement yet. sigh. Baby must be sleeping all the time like its father!

It is such an aukward stage for clothes. I'm wearing big stuff that I have to keeping pulling up. luckily I don't have to look smart for anything.
Because that WOULD be a challenge. I'm a scruff bag.

Laidback the wedding sounds fab. Your lifestyle sounds very exotic and un-humdrum. I like the 'matinee' idea. I don't know if I could cope with that much excitement though!

Booboobedoo · 19/09/2006 12:47

Hi divastrop. A few nights ago I dreamt I was snogging my DH (which is about as close as I come to really doing it at the moment), and he turned into Matt Lucas from Little Britain (who went to school with my DH).

Most disturbing. I was caressing the back of his baldy head. Yum.

Onilly: have you got any friends who've been PG recently? My BF gave me loads of nice stuff on Sunday. She's 38 weeks PG, and grown out of it all now. I'm in maternity jeans at the moment, and they sit most satisfyingly over my bump.

Also it's my birthday on Thursday (I'll be 31) and my Mum's buying me a posh maternity outfit.

Gosh loads of us having birthdays!
Mines on Monday
I'm also living in maternity gear
Got some great tracksuits pants from H+M, some mat jeans from Dotty P's.
Few t shirts also from H+M
All my pre preg stuff is pretty fitted stuff so I outgrew it dead fast
I feel a trip to M+S for new bras coming up too... From a G cup already I despair where it could go...

anniediv · 19/09/2006 12:49

I cheerfully handed all my maternity stuff over to my sil, sent dh off for his snip, 2 days later...oops Although the sickness is taking care of not needing maternity clothes, I may need to start 'borrowing' the dds hair bobbles to give my jeans a bit of extra room.

anniediv · 19/09/2006 12:51

Just for info, ASDA do quite good and cheap cotton maternity bras, ones with flaps(eek) and without.

Piffle · 19/09/2006 12:53

I live for the day my mams can be contained in cotton alone.

onilly · 19/09/2006 12:54

I have just had the most humiliating experience, the bloody bright red elastic band broke whilst in mid discussion (I was presenting at the time) it started to hurtle its way, in pieces, towards fellow colleagues (and thank god only one client )but ran out of steam and fell around my feet. Zip was only partly up and I could feel the bloody pants start to droop around my arse (no doubt flashing a lovely glimpse of granny knicker). If anyone noticed they were too polite to say.... I called DH who was a witness to this mornings wardrobe crisis and who was sent to scavenge red elastic band discarded by postie on the street...who has laughed so hard that even I had to find the humour in it.

I swear I feel like a preggie Bridget Jones.

I have had some funny really disturbing dreams. Some have been quasi sexual, some have been plain downright freaky odd. I normally can never remember my dreams, but now oddly do have a pretty good recall of them.

onilly · 19/09/2006 13:00

So.... reading back, looks like I am due to get some preggie gear. Unfortunately all my friends are seriously skinny minny's and start at an advantage, like a size 8!!. It looks like a late night shop at H&M's and a Next catalogue raid.

Blimey guys - it doesnt stop does it. I guess my "normal is no longer" very bittersweet feeling.

onilly · 19/09/2006 13:17

From having a giggle at myself, am suddenly very overwhelmed.
Am also aware that I sound like a nut...so will shut up now...

SassiLils · 19/09/2006 13:20

Onilly, You and your laggy bands

My dreams are all very odd! Have given birth to a giant hamster. Everyone was afraid of it's big teeth and I was as proud as punch ...weird!!

Alot of my others, involve my ex-husband being the father and not my current partner I hate my ex!!!)

SassiLils · 19/09/2006 13:21

Onilly, I like your nutty posts keep me smiling at work.

Just had a victim of anti social behaviour come in, all bloodied up! she's been attacked outside the school

fatfox · 19/09/2006 13:26

Onilly
PMSL you poor thing !!! Wish I'd been a fly on the wall

Something similar happened to my old boss. She was doing a presentation to management team. While she was gesticulating and waving her arms, one of her underwires worked its way out of her bra and out of her blouse, 'til it was poking out of her neckline.

Well, she just whipped it out and carried on talking...

onilly · 19/09/2006 13:41

Foxie- I like your bosses style. I think I went the colour of the freaking red band, but did carry on talking (hard to get me to shut up actually!)

This preggers lark is such new ground. I am really not in control of anything at all am I? There's a thought!

Sassiliss - huh ? that sounds extreme, and puts my day into context ! Are you ok?

onilly · 19/09/2006 13:43

that could be spelt better, sorry Sass (easier for elstupido here to spell!)

SassiLils · 19/09/2006 13:51

I'm okay thanks. Sounds harsh but you develop quite a tough skin after a while!

It's a bit like Beirut around here!!

leogaela · 19/09/2006 14:32

OK, I have read as far as the 29th August (in between working!!!) and I am soooooooooo happy that Ooogs is also having twins!
Ooogs, not sure yet if you have found the thread on the Multiples board titled something like 'How did life get like this..'. Twins for me was a big shock to start with, took a long time to sink in, but now I am really happy about it !
