AnnieD - I had a really bad cough last year and pee'd with each and every cough!!!

AmieR · 27/09/2006 21:05

a few weeks back I had an annoying stage of getting up, getting ready for work, about to walk out the door and then getting the urge to vommit... rushing to the toilet and then being sick but not just that, accompanied with a bit of pee.. so I had to change my bottom half... making me late for work! rolls eyes

divastrop · 27/09/2006 21:05

i think tenna lady should start producing 'string' incontinence pads.

my gums were bleeding really babdly 2 weeks ago, randomly whenever they felt like it.its not so bad now, just when i brush my teeth.

novadandypowder · 27/09/2006 21:08

Well, have kind of skim read since I was last on, impossible to keep up fully as I seem to be really busy.

re. names: dd was going to be called esme, but at the last minute dh came up with Natalie and that stuck. Her middle name is my first name as we couldn't think of anything else . We didn't really have a boys name as we were sure we were having a girl. I like Melanie for this if it's a girl, still not sure about a boy.

re. finding out gender: I really want to find out but dh is dead set against it and I must confess that I'm glad we waited with dd, the 'it's a girl' bit makes it all worth it

re. sickness: still got it and it sucks

Been spending some quality time with dd, and having terrible headaches which has kept me away from the PC. Seems that all is well with most. Keep forgetting I'm pg which is weird as I was so obsessed with every detail with dd (who I refer to as Noo).

14wks today

Aime - you poor thing

Diva - who is tenner lady?

fatfox · 27/09/2006 21:11

Nova - I keep forgetting too. I only feel PG when I feel "ill".

onilly · 27/09/2006 21:29

hi I am back, shit telly!

Piffle - I had'nt put any weight on, lost my appetite was hurling my guts out but now literally put on 7 pounds very quickly - has coincided with appetite returning and vomiting stopping.... so you probably need to eat more?

Guys - are you all showing yet ? I am having sport at work, only three people know and I am leaving the rest to speculation. Have noticed quite a few funny looks at my belly.....am wearing matty trousers which does let things hang out......

Oh no - piddling myself ? I was just getting over the bloody piles.

Piffle · 27/09/2006 21:31

onilly I'm showing quite a lot
Dp joked that as I drunk quite a lot before I got pregnant, that my body is losing the beer weight and thats whay I've not put on any sort of thing

onilly · 27/09/2006 21:32

Nova - glad to have you back!

DH just made me very paranoid..... winding me up that the LAST person I should have picked a fight with is my midwife, as after all am at the mercy of her during birth... seriously, how much pain could she inflict on me ?
Am now thinking my rage against NHS should have been more covert.

onilly · 27/09/2006 21:34

hmmm, yes I could put my belly down to a bucket of wine gut.... good one !

anniediv · 27/09/2006 21:43

I'm not showing a bit. People at work have been telling me how much weight I've lost (the extra special MS no food for 2 months diet!)

BTW do we need a part 4 of this thread it's really big again vaguely rude sounding!!

fatfox · 27/09/2006 21:46

Onilly - most TV is shit isn't it?

MN is much more entertaining

I'm absolutely huge. Am 4 months and look 5 or 6 already (its my third, she adds - somewhat defensively)

anniediv · 27/09/2006 21:47

fatfox, this is my 4th!! was expecting to be like the side of a house by now!

fatfox · 27/09/2006 21:49

Annie, did you have more MS with the girls?

anniediv · 27/09/2006 21:52

I only have girls fatfox. That is why I think this might be a boy, as I have been so happy at being vom free today! It doesn't sound much, but I have not had a day like today in any of my pregnancies. The theory is that you are sicker with girls because of your hormones and her hormones push the level up, but I know many mother of boys who have been as sick. Will be interesting to see what comes out in March!

kittywits · 27/09/2006 22:04

I've suddenly 'popped out' belly wise and so have my little boobies. They are still little but not so bad!! My thighs have popped too and my arms
Stinking cold now, first one of the season, half the kids have it, the rest sure to follow, poor little Clara has had a temp for 2 days now and is ozzing liquids out of her eyes and nose .
I sound like the man from that "Tunes" ad, do remeember it?
I'm not wetting myself yet, but I did at the end of the last preg, especially when I coughed.

eidsvold · 27/09/2006 22:26

belly popped at 7 weeks and I was hanging out until at least 12 to get into my comfy maternity trousers. I look much further along than I am.

My dd1 has an unusual but lovely name. It is an aboriginal name which means daughter. Dh ( english) picked it. Have only come across one other with her name - in an engagement announcement in the paper.

We have such a struggle with names - being an ex- teacher does not help - so many names have so many connotations - good and bad. We also wanted our children to have something different but not far out iyswim.

Dd2 has an Irish name - which we had liked for dd1 and whilst it is a known name - not very common.

Never tell people what names we are thinking of - that way I don't have to listen to their preferences.

Am kind of hoping for a boy - although dh has his footy mad tomboy in dd1 - such a daddy's girl. THink it would be nice. But another girl - absolutely fine by name - have tonnes of clothes and I know girls.

Rosylily · 28/09/2006 03:11

Lots of lovely names. I had accupuncture again today and it made me ill again and now I can't sleep! I'm spaced out! Maybe its that I'm hungry?....ok- getting a snack.(oatibix)
Fatfox I'm always really fascinated by the out of body thing. Wouldn't it be great if we could do it at will, like if someone is boring us to tears or when in labour if its getting a bit much
I have just blacked out a few times when highly stressed. Its amazing what an extreme physical reaction stress can cause.(and in your case extreme bloody understandable stress )

Diva my sister is called clare. Its a good name!

I've had the odd gum bleed. No leakages yet but I must do the pelvic floor excercises more. I want to be able to jump on my sisters trampoline again next year!
Oatibix is lovely by the way. Must try and sleep now. Dh was offering to give me a special injection to make me sleep but I can hear him snoring so think I missed my chance

Kelly1978 · 28/09/2006 03:14

lol @ special injection! I jsut popped over here to see who else was posting at the same ungodly hour as me, and you are pregnant - get yourself off to bed!

Rosylily · 28/09/2006 03:17

Grin Grin Grin

fatfox · 28/09/2006 08:52

Rosylily Hi - I bet you're knackered this morning aren't you?

What was the acupuncture for? (I'm nosy by nature )

I sometimes wich I could have an out of body experience at work when I'm sitting in boring meetings Instead I visulaise my children, or - if I'm hungry, big plates of mashed potato

fatfox · 28/09/2006 08:54

Kittywits - hope you start to feel better soon, poor thing

17+4

AmieR · 28/09/2006 09:16

I am not really showing yet, maybe the few extra pounds I had to start off with is hiding any growth! but my Tummy feels different.

No Vom this morning. 2 mornings in a row! Problem is, I am out of the really nice french biscuits my mum brought me back from her hols! They've been a god send!
