Peace the exact same thing happened to me, with regards to the rhesus neg/pos thing. I had a termination and was told I was rhesus neg so had the anti d injection. So was very surprised when my midwife said I was rhesus pos, so I explained the situation and she gave me another blood test, which then had to be sent off as the lab couldn't determine whether I was rhesus neg or pos. Turns out I'm rhesus positive but very weakly, so my antibodies aren't obvious, I'd imagine that's the same as you, I don't think a foetus would be able to affect your antibody type?

Brilliant news LadylelSmile
Have been feeling absolutely exhausted the last few days and this afternoon I can barely focus on my work. Got my 25 week appointment with doctor on Thursday. Anyone know if they check iron levels then? I'm veggie so it could be that. If not I have no idea how to get through another 12 weeks at workHmm

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 19/08/2014 16:25

ladylel we had a cat called Reuben when I was a child (and he had a sister we called Ruby Grin) but we named him from a baby name book and the spelling was definitely Reuben not Rueben if that helps?

I'm in soft play hell. My local soft play is shite so I normally take ds to one about a 20 minute drive away which is better, however the local one had a summer pass for £30 which gives access from July until the end of September so I thought it was worth the risk. However having just spent £5.35 on a fruit shoot, bottle of 7up, galaxy chocolate bar and a bag of chocolate buttons, then ventured into the toilets which I'm pretty sure they never clean, I've remembered why I stopped coming here. Once this pass runs out we'll return to the one 20 minutes away. I like to get there when they open on a Sunday morning so it's empty nice and quiet.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 19/08/2014 16:30

Somerset that seems much more likely! I'll bring it up again with the midwife at 25 weeks in September. I'm not worried, just very intrigued!

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 19/08/2014 16:34

The mother of the family at the next table has just announced they will have to leave soon as "the baby is not well at all, she keeps throwing up." Great, hopefully it's nothing contagious. Sad

And her toddler banged heads with another boy, the toddler was clearly quite hurt but the boy didn't seem to be hurt as badly (well he didn't scream as much as she did) but the mother is not happy about how the boy's mother reacted. Having seen the impact happen (total accident) I'd like to know what she would like to happen to the boy. Hmm

CallingAllEngels · 19/08/2014 17:19

hug I would ask them to check your iron levels. Last pg this was a problem for me and this time low blood pressure.

Have a friend who has a Reuben ladylel

CatFaceCrayola · 19/08/2014 18:25

Glad all is well.
All this talk of dates is making it seem scarily soon! At what week does the 3rd trimester officially start??

I'm in a grump today. I run a Youth Theatre and today we did dance workshops. I'm normally in charge of choreographing and teaching dances but had to give the job to someone else. I joined in with the warm up (I didn't even do it full out) but afterwards my lower back hurt too much, so I just had to sit and watch for the rest of the day :(

Currently in packing hell! Paris tomorrow :)
DHs "big suitcase" is really quite tiny and we're meant to be sharing it!

liesal79 · 19/08/2014 18:39

Hi all... I'm due 23/12 and 22weeks today. I'm current off work with anxiety and don't seem to be getting any better... Any advice?? This my 7th pregnancy but first to get to this point!!

LisaC2611 · 19/08/2014 18:54

Catface, my app says that I enter the 3rd trimester 2 weeks on Friday and I will be 26+6.

Am finding it quite scary that I only have 13 weeks left at work and still no news about advertising my position for mat leave cover. It really bugs me as I've found someone who would be willing to take over but boss has done absolutely nothing about it! Oh well not my problem.

Think DH and me have finally picked a destination for our last baby free holiday and we will be going to Barcelona for 5 nights in 3 weeks time. Woo hoo Grin

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 19/08/2014 19:42

Liesal have you spoken to your midwife about your anxiety? A few of us on here have struggled with MH stuff, some antenatal specifically, so you've come to the right place for support!
I find the most helpful thing for anxiety is mindfulness, but it takes a bit of practice.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 19/08/2014 20:27

Leisel, Anxiety is a bastard. As Peace said, you are in good company here. You are bound to be anxious considering your circumstances, however, you have got this far and Anxiety is worrying about things that havent happened yet which is a waste of your emotion. Its really difficult to cut yourself off from it, but rant on here as it might help to write it down.

Agree with Peace, mindfullness helps... and good drugs. Are you getting medical treatment at all?

CatFaceCrayola · 19/08/2014 20:34

lisa Barcelona is a lovely place :)

and liesal ...what Peace and Bighairy said. This pregnancy business does some truly odd things to our brains. Get some help if you aren't already.

I have a constant mild crampy feeling right behind my belly button tonight. Cause for concern??

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 19/08/2014 20:35

Baby names, I like naturey names - considering Hazel or Willow. Willow is becoming more common so am leaning towards Hazel. People keep telling me it's quite girl-guidy though. I don't think so. As someone said, the name will grow to fit the little person. Any thoughts?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 19/08/2014 20:37

Catface - baby might be pressing in an odd place? Mine does it sometimes. Hurts for a bit, wiggles, then hurt goes away so I'm assuming she's got her foot shoved up against something tender!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 19/08/2014 20:39

I like Hazel too BigHairy! And I think we have actually decided on Rowan for a boy now, after Ladylel mentioned it and I realised just how much I love it. Nature names are lovely.

CatFaceCrayola · 19/08/2014 20:44

Hoping it disappears soon. Got too much packing to do to be in pain!

I love Willow and Hazel. Both on my list, but both also recently used by people we know so would be worried about "copying"

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 19/08/2014 21:01

I have copying concerns too about Willow, plus the Buffy connotations. Grin I think I am leaning towards Hazel but am struggling with a middle names that fits! I LOVE Rowan! Name of my a very close friend. Sorrel and Aspen also in the running....

monkeybaby2 · 19/08/2014 21:14

Thanks for the advice about the washable nappies ladies, I think I'm going to go ahead and get them as I can always sell them on if we don't get on with them.

Re Facebook groups, please don't worry about privacy settings, nobody outside the members of the group will be able to see yours or anyone else's posts. Whilst it is in 'Closed' status, people can find the group so you can request to join. We can change it to 'Secret' after everyone who wants to has joined and then people will not be able to find it at all. If you do decide you want to join later we can flip it to Closed to get you in and then back to Secret after that.

I have real enduring friendships from my first MN fb group with women I still meet up with today. It saved my sanity, especially in the early days of bf and PND, so I'm really looking forward to this one too :)

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 19/08/2014 21:15

Both our boy and girl names that we've chosen have Buffy links too (not why they were chosen btw even though I'm a massive fan) but I'm ignoring it. Most people won't understand the link anyway.

Roonerspism · 19/08/2014 21:23

monkey impressive FB knowledge! I trust you more than FB!

So whilst it is set to "closed", does that mean someone can see the members of the group, or just the group name? (I don't want anyone to see I am a member you see, which them links me to MN).

monkeybaby2 · 19/08/2014 21:34

Yes Rooner, whilst we have it at 'Closed', if someone searches for the group by name and finds it, they will be able to see a list of its members but not anything anyone posts. My previous group went to Secret and then we switched it to Closed for an hour or so now and again if someone wanted to join from MN.

All the more reason to come up with a new name unrelated to MN so it's not obvious to the casual browser! Anybody got any ideas?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 19/08/2014 21:58

Hazel Elizabeth is nice, the two Zs sounds good together, I think!

SassehMonsta · 19/08/2014 22:10

If you go onto your profile and find the "activity log" (along the top with "photos" & "friends" etc) you can hide from timeline where you have joined the group. Once the group switches to secret you can't even see member list or the group itself so it's completely hidden from everyone else.

Consultant appointment went ok, been referred to 2 more clinics - genetics for possible heamachromatosis testing for both me and dh to determine if baby is at risk (even if baby does have it, we're vegan so too much iron in the blood means less worry about anemia!!!). Also referred to anaesthetic people, as with my lung disease & my pregnancy combined, any risk is doubled for anaesthetic, and they would much rather talk to me and be prepared should the worst happen. Think this applies to epidural risks as well as its still anaesthesia. Totally want to leave that open as I'm such a wuss with pain!!!

Took my dad along in the hope there would be a growth scan, but no such luck. We then spent the afternoon at the cinema like naughty children bunking off work ;)

Hugmonster82 · 19/08/2014 22:11

Hazel is one of our possible names too. Good choiceSmile It's DH's grandmother's name. Just keep changing my mind on it though.
So will the group show on FB newsfeed that I'm a member if I join? Just don't trust it!
