Been to Manchester for the day. Had a lovely wander and bought some nice trousers (suitable for with and without bump)

But when will I learn that walking kills me? Now laid up on the sofa waiting for paracetamol to kick in. Hips/legs/bum/back all aching. Grumble.

Can't remember who it was but I could barely feel any movement at 20 weeks. I'm 22 weeks tomorrow and it's really only in the last couple of days I've felt proper "kicks". It's a great feeling though! :) but maybe less so when it's right on your bladder!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 02/08/2014 20:52

Just seen that there's a new BBC sitcom starting on Monday night set in an NCT class. Will give it a go!

LisaC2611 · 02/08/2014 21:09

I'm getting lots of feelings, but def no proper kicks yet. Am getting a sharp pain low on my right side. Not sure what that is.

I'm 22 weeks today

MrsW27 · 02/08/2014 21:53

so we finally caved today and bought some little baby gros and sleep suits for our little man. We'd been to my mum and dad's to see them and my grandparents who were visiting abs they'd all bought him a little something and I kinda felt left out. They seem so big though - we bought 0-3 months thinking that as me and DH are both tall that newborn might only last a week or so but I got them out of the packet and they seemed massive! If people think I'm pushing something that big out of me they've got another thing coming Shock Shock

MrsW27 · 02/08/2014 21:54

*and not abs

ImBrian · 02/08/2014 23:27

It's amazing howucj theobements vary from pregnancy to pregnancy. I didn't feel my first till 18 weeks and then it wasn't a regular thing till well after 22 weeks. This one my whole stomach moves and he's started getting hiccups!

When peoe say their bump goes hard do the mean just now and then as in Braxton hicks? I can't remember how early I had them before but seem to be getting a couple a day at the minute.

Miraculous we were up on the west coast, it was really good just chasing a toddler round when there are no walls is exhausting. Plus our tent was a bit on the small side and the air bed kept going down! Going to go again next year but with better kit I think.

monkeybaby2 · 03/08/2014 07:41

MrsW27 I am 6ft tall and made that mistake last time, 0-3 will be too big for quite a while unless you have a gigantic baby (and I'm talking in the 10lb+ range). Nb's are really curled up too like little frogs so even the newborn size can feel like it's swamping them a bit to start with. Get yourself some newborn size as I reckon you'll need them for at least the first 3-4 weeks. And btw, DD was an average sized 7lb14oz when she finally made an entrance! She was always in the top percentiles for length/height though and remains so.

Kick wise I always seem to feel it late. With DD it was flutters at 21 weeks, and with this one it was kind of at 17 weeks but not reliably recognisable until 19 weeks. Placenta is anterior here too and I have Crohn's disease which I reckon has probably numbed a lot down there anyway!

I got a lot of bump hardenings in the beginning. Now it's taut when I stand up and squashy when I lay or sit. Standing I look proper pg, sitting I look lardy. It's lovely.

21+5

monkeybaby I am exactly the same with the hard/squishy.
Hard standing up, squishy sitting down.

I can't remember if I already wrote this or googled it but I've had a stitch my my right side just under my ribs all week. Had a goggle bad idea and worse case is gall stones, best case baby jammed under ribs and doing the Macarena. That or it is stretchy growing pains again....

Ladylel oh yes to all of those in the link :)

SassehMonsta · 03/08/2014 10:17

was just in the middle of posting how baby has been suspiciously quiet this morning compared to usual when it kicked me!

Planning on taking dog out for a bit inthe sunshine while its nice, after all the rain yesterday.

CatFaceCrayola · 03/08/2014 11:25

Day of housework ahoy. The joys!

Might go for a swim later. Wanted to go to an exercise class but none of todays classes seem "tame" enough for a pregnant lady.

22 weeks exactly :)

Somersetgirl1990 · 03/08/2014 13:14

Ladylel I get a stitch under my bump every time I go for a walk longer than 5 mins. The dog isn't enjoying it! I have to walk super slowly Confused

Were looking after a friends dog until Sunday and have another friends dog coming on tues for 2 weeks! I must be crazy. 3 dogs, 2 of which are under a year old Shock

22 weeks today as well!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 03/08/2014 13:43

Spent the morning at Droitwich lido with the Dsses. Was lovely. Grin

miraculous2 · 03/08/2014 14:05

We've lost Mana, the bigger baby. I'm being kept in for obs - suspected infection. Don't know if we'll be able to save 'Uhila. No words. None at all.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 03/08/2014 14:11

So sorry to hear that miraculous :( best best best wishes to you :(

BigHairy my dad lives in droitwich, I went to the salt pool once, was great!

I'm also getting stitches when I walk, which is a pain as I walk everywhere. We went to a couple of car boots this morning but came home empty handed.

Somersetgirl1990 · 03/08/2014 14:14

Hugmonster82 · 03/08/2014 16:34

So sorry to hear that miraculous. I can't even begin to imagine how you must be feeling. Thinking of you.

CatFaceCrayola · 03/08/2014 17:09

Mum has chosen just now to share something with me that I had absolutely no idea about.

she started off telling me to look after myself, then went on to tell me how in the 70s she has lost 2 babies at 6 months and just wants me to get over the 6 months mark and then she can breath.

Great timing mum.

just bawled at DH for ages :(

Somersetgirl1990 · 03/08/2014 17:16

Did they find a reason for your mum losing her babies? My dp's sister had a stillbirth at full term I think and it freaks me out not knowing why it happened - I don't really want to bring it up with his family but my dp doesn't really know the details as he was quite young when it happened
