Thanks red, by the time I have read through more than about 5 posts I forget who posted the first!

Huge congrats cookie hope you amd your little man are doing hope xx

Welcome marjal

bug my cousin had pre eclampsia from about 34 weeks. They kept her monitored, it continued to get worse and she ended up being admitted and then induced at 37 weeks but both her and baby were fine. I think it all depends on how you go with it and if you respond to treatment.

Laura2611 · 14/08/2014 08:47

Congratulations cookie hope you and little man are doing well xx

holls2000 · 14/08/2014 08:55

cookie - congratulations and well done!!!! Smile Smile Smile Smile

dinah - yup am currently breech and have scan on tues so consultant can discuss options. I think she is veering towards c section - she didn't seem hugely keen on evc or ecv or whatever it is (I keep forgetting).

collected pram yesterday - the in laws have taken it to their pad, and car seat which looks soooo teeny but also pretty comfy. tried putting a teddy in it last night - I clearly need practice and a lot of it!!

TeamEponine · 14/08/2014 09:06

Congrats cookie!!! Thanks

Thanks for putting the list together red

dinah and hols - I'm also trying moxa and accupuncture to turn this baby. I've been awake since 2.30am as baby was moving about so much I couldn't sleep (first time that has happened). This morning my bump feels a different shape, so I'm wondering if she has turned, but I don't want to get my hopes up. I'm just now totally unsure whether to keep going with the inversions. If she has turned, I don't want to send her back to breech, but if she is still breech I need to continue with my bat impressions...

DearDinah · 14/08/2014 09:27

Congratulations cookie
team I know what you mean, luckily my scan is tomorrow, have you been booked in to have a position scan soon?
Baby is very quiet today & was quiet yesterday, I'm feeling quite breathless also today, has anyone 'dropped' yet my bump is still very high. I need to breathe!

ilovemonstersinc · 14/08/2014 09:39

I hope she has moved for you team!

When the dr talked about the ecv she said they scan, monitor, give muscle relaxer then do ecv which takes around 5mins then monitor then scan again to make sure baby is ok. I was told 70% success rate at that hospital.

Thankfully he wasnt transverse she managed to scan me wrong Hmm

got bags packed again, got all his clothes sorted out again too and will get in the bath soon. Been told hot baths by mw.
After having 1 last night lost lots of mucus plus blood even like show but I was sure I'd already lost that!

Baby jas hiccups atm lol.

Congrats Cookie. Hope the little man is doing well.

Nazly hope you're doing well & enjoying newborn cuddles too much to post but let us know how you are when you can.

Ilove fingers crossed the sweep has worked, it's sounding positive.

Thanks for doing the list red

I'm another one with a high bump & breathlessness. It's also causing horrific heartburn, it did drop for a couple of days but soon went back up again. Midwife did say yesterday that his head is now in my pelvis so he is moving in the right direction.

Have a knee poking out of my belly button & it's agony. Have tried poking it back in but he's not having any of it!

ilovemonstersinc · 14/08/2014 09:40

Ooo dinah I was out shopping the other day and I saw this pg lady who looked as big as us who are due and her bump was still really high! My bump looks like its going to fall off lol

Congratulations cookie xx Flowers xx

Ladies let me see your bump pics, here's mine tell me honestly do you think it looks small or normal? Im 35 + 1. Baby has suspected IUGR & has low amniotic fluid in there, I feel like my tummy hasn't grown in weeks, feeling rubbish right now x

holls2000 · 14/08/2014 10:45

Dinah - I had a quiet few days and oh my word am so breathless, even going upstairs nearly finishes me off!
Yet to drop. Bump still high I think.

Cindy5389 · 14/08/2014 10:45

Congratulations Cookie! Hope u and ur little one r doing ok.

Just had my 36week mw appt (35+5 today) and had another cover mw. She said my normal mw will also b off in two weeks time. So next time I will see her is if I make it to the 40week appt! Crazy. Although I seem to get more attention off of the cover mw's coz they spend more time reading the notes and asking me questions rather than the quick wee, bp and other checks then on my way.
Mw said baby is still on its side (head down but facing to the side) so I need to try and encourage it to turn inwards so baby is facing my back. Otherwise I will b in for a more painful birth.

BexBoo12 · 14/08/2014 10:45

Aww missbrightside please don't worry about your bump - are you worrying that it's too small because you don't think it's grown? What were your measurements at last check? People are constantly telling me I'm small, but midwife is happy with my measurements so I ignore them. X

BexBoo12 · 14/08/2014 10:47

Thanks for doing the list red! Exciting to see so many babies on their way or their planned eviction date!

TeamEponine · 14/08/2014 10:55

I have a scan booked for next Tuesday to check on both growth (she is on the petite side) and position. Fingers crossed both look okay, as I really want to be able to go to the midwife led centre!

I'm just really not sure whether she has turned or not, so whether to keep doing the inversion or not. I wish I had an ultrasound machine at home!!!

misog2000 · 14/08/2014 11:08

Miss bright your belly looks bigger than mine if that helps? I'm 34 weeks today and people are constantly telling me I'm really small and I was measuring 3cm behind when with the midwife, but had a growth scan yesterday and all is fine it's just how I carry. My bump also doesn't look like it's anywhere near my ribs yet, but baby definitely likes sticking it's bum up there so it's obviously got space inside to do that without it showing too much on the outside.

Have they offered you any additional scans to put your mind at rest?

xxmissbrightsidexx · 14/08/2014 11:15

I've had loads of scans because she's small, got another one coming up on 20th am high risk & need monitoring weekly now, reason why I ask about the size of my bump is because people keep saying how massive I am but can't tell if they're saying it to be nasty or if they mean it x

Topsyloulou · 14/08/2014 11:28

MissB I have been told my bump is small & massive in the same day. Most people aren't used to being around heavily pregnant women and feel the need to comment on bump size with no regard to how it might make you feel. I just smile & say he's measuring spot on. To add to bump size comments I'm now getting you'll never make it to your due date or he's not going to be arriving any time soon.

Ilove, walking around is helping. Would give all fours a try but not sure how well that will go down in the middle of the office!

lilone1234 · 14/08/2014 11:42

missb I completely agree with topsy. Lots of people aren't used to seeing really heavily pregnant women and they don't actually have a normal perception of what is big or small. Doubt anyone is saying anything to be nasty but their comments on size certainly have no medical grounding to go on!

Congratulations cookie! Have you got a name for him yet? How much did he weigh? Looking forward to hearing all about it - and hope you are both doing well!

TeamEponine · 14/08/2014 12:05

The new JoJo catalouge was delivered the other day, and as I was looking at it, I realised that none of the pregnant models could have been beyond six months pregnant. This was only after getting down for feeling like a huge lump! So I do think the others a right, as the media usually portrays pregnant women at nowhere near full term.

I've found it helpful to do a good image search for bumps at my stage. That gives a more realistic idea of, mainly, how much variability there is in both the size and shape of bumps! MissB, your bump looks quite similar to mine, both in size and shape. I'm only a few days behind you.

The other day a guy at work said hi to me, and commented "you look very healthy". I wasn't sure what to make of it at the time, but I think it was actually quite a nice thing to say (and knowing him, he would have had nice intentions). No mention of size or due date, just "you look very healthy".

TeamEponine · 14/08/2014 12:06

*Catalogue! Angry

Teabiscuits · 14/08/2014 12:09

Bump size also I think depends on your shape in the first place. My SIL has a much bigger bump than me, and she's only 18 weeks! but she carries weight around her middle. I didn't really show at all until 20 weeks (and even then you could only tell if you knew) but I have a slim waist and massive thighs and bum.

Everyone carries differently. Did anyone see the lady in the Daily Mirror a couple of days ago who gained 6 stone while pregnant Shock ?! She's diabetic, baby was 9lb5 born at 36 weeks, must have been horrible for her.
