Congratulations Bug! Hope you're both doing really well Smile

KitKat1985 · 18/08/2014 22:10

Congratulations bug! Grin Hope you are recovering okay from the C-section. xx

I'm just trying to survive the next week and a half at work. I'm so bored of responding to the same comments. If on more person says "not long now!" or "gosh you're big now" I might bang my head against a desk.

Marjal12 · 18/08/2014 22:23

Congratulations Bug! Another wee boy... :-)
Ilove, hope you're bearing up ok and we'll have another baby on the thread soon.
Dinah, that sounds awful. Fingers crossed he'll realise there's more to life once baby is here, but as others have said, you'll have to chat about money etc beforehand. My DH doesn't seem to grasp how tight things are going to be with me not working and on MA. I'm self-employed and part-time but earn more than him, and I'm already taking money from savings every month just to stop us going into the red. It's going to be so much worse when I'm not working and he keeps talking about doing up the house, holidays next year etc. It's stressing me out and I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall when we talk about it as it never seems to sink in. Trying to sell our house and downsize to make things easier but no-one's biting...

Does anyone else feel like the baby is pulling on their bellybutton from the inside? It's soooo painful!!

Cindy5389 · 18/08/2014 22:46

Congratulations Bug! Hope ur recovering well after ur c section.

Can't wait for more baby news! So exciting.

ilovemonstersinc · 18/08/2014 23:03

Still waiting.

Tonmake matters worse the person looking after kids issstarting to complain.
I cant do fuck all sat in the hospital.
Dh didn't come to see me yesterday so he could look after kids. He came today and all hells let loose with kids apparently. So now dh has gone home even though theres a good chance of me going down tonight.
If I dont go down tonight im speaking to bed manager in the morning!

Congratulations bug! Flowers

Congratulations bug!! And welcome to the world to your little boy Smile Hope you are feeling ok after c-section, first couple of days are pretty sore, but does get better quite quickly after that. Just remember not to try and use your stomach muscles, I kept forgetting and going to sit up instead of rolling, ouch Grin

tea hope it's all going well for you, any signs of baby yet? Smile

ilove hope somethings happening for you now Thanks

dinah my dh's obsession is work, as he says he really feels the pressure of being the sole earner (which has only happened since we emigrated) so puts in crazy hours and never takes any holiday, so we barely see him. He was even saying to friends of ours that he might use some of his holiday to do a training course as he has so much - I said what about us?! dd was asking why her daddy doesn't take time off in school hols like the other daddies, which breaks my heart. He's got 3 weeks off when baby arrives so that's really good (tho I'm wondering how long he'll be able to stay away from office...). I am really looking forward to him having to do everything including school run, so he can see how much I actually do, is that wrong Grin

Teabiscuits · 19/08/2014 05:30

Congratulations tea and bug, ilove I hope it happens for you today. Can't believe how many babies there are already! I've got 14 days left at work yet and I'm hoping to have a few days to chill after that so baby misog needs to stay firmly put for a bit (fingers and legs crossed (grin])

Ilove, everything crossed for you

BooSurprise · 19/08/2014 08:13

Congrats tea and bug hope you are both enjoying lots of newborn snuggles.
I escaped after my appt yesterday, in fact it was the worst one I've had. Scan was fine growth normal, running late as usual, diabetic people happy with control, despite having a few highs, so they had a fiddle with my insulin, he (and I) wanted to see obstetrics to discuss final bits for section and plans for control until then, so I sat for at least an hour waiting only to find she'd looked at my notes decided not to see me and left, leaving me to be seen by the diabetic m/w not that either of us would have found that useful! So she said I could go, and she would 'try' to sort out my pre- op appt. the other mw I saw dismissed my tightenings, but then scared me and said I might not get to 38 weeks if the period pain I'm having continues, but that was as I was ushered out of the door, so no chance to ask questions!
Ladies reassure me, I know this is no 3, but I've never gone into labour or had a proper contraction, I would know wouldn't I? Or tell me how I would know compared to BH and period type pain I'm getting now. Thanks

BooSurprise · 19/08/2014 08:14

Oh and keep going ilove hopefully something productive ie baby will happen today!

ilovemonstersinc · 19/08/2014 08:23

Congratulations tea and bug Flowers
Good luck ilove hope you have your baby soon!
Getting rather nervous now baby should be here on Friday if all goes according to plan! Woke up last night with really bad period type pains again and it's making me panic.

CoolCat2014 · 19/08/2014 09:21

Congratulations bug!

Good luck ilove - hope it all goes smoothly!

My pelvis hurts like hell. Think baby must have dropped some more. Had a total panic in the night when I woke up with my head spinning constantly, was worried I'd got a nasty bug. I had my nails done last night by a friends daughter, and as soon as I took it off the dizziness stopped! Over sensitive pregnancy head obviously!

CoolCat2014 · 19/08/2014 09:23

Ooh... And congratulations Tea. I love that name so much, but can't use ourselves as doesn't work with our surname!

polkadotdelight · 19/08/2014 09:23

Good luck ilove!!
