Have been to hospital for reduced movement ; they decided to induce me ; I am 37W tomorrow, so today still preterm but they decided risk of waiting could be high

RedToothBrush · 11/08/2014 16:38

Oh Nazly, sorry to hear that... I hope you are ok and that everything goes ok.

Good luck!

holls2000 · 11/08/2014 16:44

good luck Nazly will be thinking about you. x

lucidlady · 11/08/2014 17:00

Hope you're ok nazly - you did the right thing getting checked out. Did they say why they were going to induce? Have had reduced movements myself and am being monitored twice a week so understand how scary it can be.

bugoven · 11/08/2014 17:00

Good luck nazly! Sure you'll do brilliantly X

I had someone say the same thing to me about the bakeoff! By the time they crown the winner we'll have a new baby to cuddle. Amazing =)

BexBoo12 · 11/08/2014 17:02

Good luck nazly, hope everything goes ok. Thinking if you xx

whiteblossom · 11/08/2014 17:28

good luck naz Ill be thinking of you xx

TheOnlySeven · 11/08/2014 17:33

Thinking of you nazly. FWIW although you're still pre-term baby will be fine coming now. All of mine were born just before 36 weeks and only one needed one night in SCBU, one day early really shouldn't make any difference. The point at which they'll try to stop labour to give steroids for baby's lung development is before 35 weeks, after that it's not generally deemed necessary. Hope everything goes ok x

With all of my three the first time I've left them with my mum has been around six weeks, when me and DH have just gone into town to have dinner so we're not far away and are back within two hours. I've never managed to BF though so could well be different if you need to be available to feed them.

We were meant to be looking after two of my brothers DCs tomorrow while he and his DW went to a funeral. I've just heard that she isn't going so we don't need to look after them, must say I'm very relieved. Tomorrow is only 5 days before DD2 was born, they'd have been at least an hour away, while my mum who will look after DCs when I go into labour is on a training course a couple of hours away in the other direction. Not like we could just bundle 5 kids in the car and set off for the hospital!

whiteblossom · 11/08/2014 17:39

ella, I feel like I have forgotten everything too, my ds is 8 now. What I do remember is that its far harder than I ever imagined, I couldn't leave the baby or let anyone else do anything- I totally lost the plot (lack of sleep will do that to you!).

This is why Im so organised this time, I need all the help I can get from family, a cleaner, batch cooking. Anything to help make life easier.

I would like to point out I had terrible PND so please don't panic and think you will all be like this. I plan on being a tad more laid back, and I really want to start leaving the baby with my mum quite soon- ish... Ill start with a hour or something and build up.

Im having a bit of a stressful afternoon-BIL issues, I posted in relationships if any of you are bored enough to take a look Grin DH invited his DB to stay...Angry

IAteSomeofthePies · 11/08/2014 17:54

Good luck, Nazly! I'm sure everything will be fine and that you're in good hands.

RedToothBrush · 11/08/2014 17:56

Whiteblossom, I'm high risk for PND and its been flagged up, so midwives/hv are aware of it. Hence me trying to understand a few things now, when I'm rational and not sleep deprived/pumped full of hormones, and I'm try to make sure that my Mum and DH are vaguely on the same page.

topmammy · 11/08/2014 18:12

Gosh nazly, good luck, you will be great, trust your body and go with it :) Jessica was 37+4 and perfectly healthy and fully cooked so to speak so im sure your bubba will be too.

Had the bounty lady in today and had some really cute photos taken of Jessica! Grin

cookielove · 11/08/2014 18:17

In hospital having tightenings!

RedToothBrush · 11/08/2014 18:25

Bloody hell, its like dominos!!!

Hope all is well cookie.

I have the upmost respect for all of you, who are just going with the flow. You are all braver than me!

Is there anyone else with me, in the legs firmly crossed camp?

I've been getting nervous the closer things get, as I'm very anxious about getting to planned date, rather than have to cope with uncertainty of labour starting and then panicking.

CumbrianExile · 11/08/2014 18:38

Congrats Top, Jessica is beautiful Smile

Good Luck Ilove, Nazly and Cookie. I am not at all jealous of you all Grin

I am just soo tired now, ready to have this baby, and everyone I talk to keeps telling me that I am likely to be late as it is my first so could have 5 weeks to go yet! Not really what I want to hear lol

TwosaCrowd · 11/08/2014 19:03

Congratulations top

Wow, one baby already & 3 more imminently, looks like your predictions about the full moon were right Red! Good luck to you all.

Have half packed my hospital bag now, definitely finishing tomorrow!

TwosaCrowd · 11/08/2014 19:37

So yes, I lost what I assume is part of my mucus plug today, don't think it was all of it. Braxton Hicks all the time and getting increasingly uncomfortable. DS was born at 37 (+0) weeks so this one could be early too. Currently 35 + 6. Got 36 week scan on Wednesday.

TwosaCrowd · 11/08/2014 19:46

Shouldn't we start a stats thread to mark the new arrivals?

TwosaCrowd · 11/08/2014 19:46

I've not packed my hospital bag! Currently staying with MIL as DH is away with work. Back home tomorrow so will do it then!

misog2000 · 11/08/2014 19:54

Red I am so with you - mainly cause I can't have the home birth I've planned if I go before 37 weeks added to the fact that I am soooo not ready, haven't even bought the stuff for my hospital bag let alone packed it.
