Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

Hello everyone:)!
Still not too many signs on my end either..although I do have to agree with the waking up at odd times and not being able to get back to sleep..as well as the faintness. But other than that not too much is going on here..so until i get in to see the midwife..it almost still doesnt seem real! lol

BrixtonBunny · 10/08/2014 15:09

Lila I've got a scan at the EPU on Thursday after bad cramps last week, I'll be 5+6 then which seems too early for them to see much at all, but I suppose they will be able to tell me if it's all looking normal in there! Guessing it's too early to see a heartbeat - does anyone else have experience of scans this early?

Wherediparkmybroom · 10/08/2014 15:39

I burst into tears this morning and locked myself in the bathroom, not like me at all! Dh in bed (Sunday lay in day) bil asleep in living room staying due to mil ill health, baby playing up, sick and shut in a small kitchen till 12 dh took over and I cried, it probably doesn't help that I'm working 60 hrs a week, someone give me a kick up the arse x

mrscog · 10/08/2014 15:53

Brixton I had a scan at 6+2 with DS and there was a heartbeat, so it might not be too early. Although at that stage I don't think it is necessarily bad news if there isn't one either.

BrixtonBunny · 10/08/2014 15:55

Thanks mrscog! Obviously that would be amazing, but don't want to get my hopes up - will just have to wait and see!

cinnamongreyhound · 10/08/2014 16:22

That's sounds like a rubbish Sunday Wheredidiparkmybroom! Not surprised you cried, kids always know when you're weak and often play on it! Glad dh took over, I'd kick bil awake in those circumstances tbh.

As far as I remember heartbeat is visible from 6wks Brixtonbunny but I've never had an early scan. Had a few later ones. With ds1 midwife panicked he was breech so had one just to find his head and with ds2 I had one at 32 and 36weeks as I was considered high risk due to weight. 32 week one was lovely could actually see him swallowing amniotic fluid :)

Wherediparkmybroom · 10/08/2014 17:00

Thanks cinnamon, dh did kick bil awake, I think he feels like shit for laying in but it is a weekly thing! I like my Sundays pottering to the radio, so I let him sleep, hate crying tho!

cinnamongreyhound · 10/08/2014 17:02

Fair enough for your dh but bil is taking up your living room so would seem polite to vacate it at a reasonable time. Hope the rest of your day is happier Thanks

dancestomyowntune · 10/08/2014 17:26

i have a scan tuesday morning. haven't really got a clue how far along we are because i haven't had a period since mirena removal on july 1st. hoping they can see something Sad

from bloods done on monday they made the app so hopefully they expect to see something!

is anyone else incredibly itchy? my arms, tummy and tops of my legs feel like they are on fire Sad

mrscog · 10/08/2014 22:17

I am not doing so well at the pg malarkey 2nd time around. I'm only 4 weeks, and today I had wine after a weeding the vegetable garden with bare hands I completely forgot they were both no no's!

roastpots · 10/08/2014 22:59

mrscog I was the same last weekend - I had goats cheese for lunch on the Saturday and rare beef for lunch on the Sunday! It was only when my Mum asked me to remind her what I'm meant to not eat that I realised... I had to go and read the nhs website to refresh my memory!

littleluna89 · 10/08/2014 23:01

I have no symptoms either... Other than being unbelievably hungry and tired, but I still can't actually sleep >.>

Keep, forgetting I'm pregnant. Had to tell line manager today so she keeps coming over and taking heavy things off me when I overestimate my own ability, rest of department don't know yet, but she's told some of the management team and I had a quick risk assessment at the end of the day.

Anyone else have this resigned feeling of dread? I'm so prepared for something to go wrong and I don't remember that from first time around :s

cinnamongreyhound · 11/08/2014 06:25

Most people have had toxoplasmosis as children in this country mrscog so are immune anyway. It's better to be safe than sorry and one glass of wine certainly isn't the end of the world!

I'm peeing loads which didn't happen with the other two and dh's collegue reckons I'm not sick as I'm not overweight this time Shock I did mention the duchess of Cambridge getting hyperemesis but for some reason that's irrelevant!

BrixtonBunny · 11/08/2014 07:25

Morning ladies, how is everyone today?

I woke up with really bad cramps at 3am, almost woke up DP but they got better after a while. Still quite bad this morning. I know lots of people get cramps but it's still worrying me Sad

I used my last clearblue digi today in a desperate bid for reassurance and finally saw a 3+ which was nice. It's been really satisfying watching those numbers creep up. Just hope it's a good sign that everything is ok.

Oh Misty, I'm sorry to hear about what's happening. It may be nothing to panic about but of course you'll be scared. Can you call the hospital? Ours has a pregnancy support department you can call at times of worry. Or maybe if you phone your GP surgery and explain what's happening they will see you? I hope you do get seen today, even just to put your mind at rest. Take care. xx

Wow, what an awful bedside manner. How are things now? Do you think your GP would be more sympathetic if you could get an appointment? How can they say don't worry about more of the same? I'm not sure I now anyone who wouldn't be worried, although if everything was okay at the scan it may be that this is normal for your pregnancy - plenty people bleed and spot and it's nothing, but I imagine you'd still want some reassurance. Thinking of you. xx

Twittwooo · 11/08/2014 08:49

Mrscog and roastpots - I've also been no angel with all the things you're meant to avoid, at least not at the beginning. The day I got my BFP we'd booked an amazing restaurant for that evening and I was at the stage where I wasn't really letting myself believe I was pregnant. I didn't have any booze but did eat pink meat and goats cheese. I'd also been emptying cat litter regularly, but I love having a reason to get someone else to do it now!

BrixtonBunny · 11/08/2014 08:55

Misty that sounds really stressful, although as others say lots of women bleed and it's perfectly ok. Is there another hospital nearby you could go to with an EPU you can walk into? Otherwise keep hassling your GP, turn on the tears if you can, it's disgraceful that they don't take you seriously. If all looked ok last week that's a good sign at least, but I totally understand why you're worried - I would be too. Sending huge hugs ThanksThanksThanksxxx

cinnamongreyhound · 11/08/2014 09:23

Sorry to hear that Misty414, can't remember if you've had any contact from your midwife yet? If you there should a number you can call her on for advice. You could also try 111 (I think that's the right number) or try for a nurses appt. they are often more sympathetic and can go throug to get a gp's signature if necessary. I know it's impossible not to worry but stress will only make things worse. You could try calling your local hospital, it may have been just that nurse or she may have had an argument with her dh before she went to work. I've had cramping on and off this time and some of it has been worse than af but it goes away again so I've put it down to uterus growth/stretching. Talk to someone though just to share the problem Thanks

That's great news Misty - so glad they will see you.

As for tomorrow can you just say you have a hospital appt? I don't think you need to explain why but you could always say it was gynaecological - doubt you'll get pressed for more info Wink

MonkeyGoneToHeaven · 11/08/2014 09:45

Misty414 sending you good wishes and Thanks

I came on here this morning to ask about cramping as I have been woken up the last two nights by excrutiating pains. I've had mild AF type cramping since about week 4 but these are really something else. BrixtonBunny it sounds like we have the same thing. Really worrying isn't it, but I am hoping it's just a short phase. I have taken paracetamol to help (and I've woken DH up too - if I've got to suffer then he will too Wink)

BrixtonBunny · 11/08/2014 09:55

Monkey it's not much fun! But it sounds like it's quite normal if lots of us are experiencing it. My goodness, the support on MN is great isn't it! X
