Hi,

I've finally got my BFP and want to find others who want to chat and eat cake whilst being excited about cooking our little dragons.

I am 31yrs old, just got my BFP for #2.

Come in and sit down for the next nerve racking 9 months :)

That sounds very light then Misty414, try not to worry. Do you have a good friend you could take so only one of you has to the day off?

I don't have hayfever but perhaps if you're taking medication it is worth seeing your gp or nurse before your booking appointment to ask CassieYellow? I didn't see a gp with ds2 and I won't this time.

My uterus is definitely busy, I'm getting cramps on and off every day, they don't last long and I'm not bleeding but I don't remember them this bad last time around. I wonder if my uterus has just stretched and shrunk that bit more this time! I know they say later babies can change positions more later into pregnancy. Ds2 was laying sideways for a quite a while.

yorkshirelass82 · 03/08/2014 17:21

Trying Thanks for your advice, I'm literally one week into a new job (no this wasn't part of our TTC plan!) and the Thursdays mornings my surgery offer just aren't going to work and will def give the game away!

Re: hayfever I work in pharmacy and chlorphenamine which is the drug in Piriton is the safest antihistamine to take in pregnancy but it can make you drowsy. Your safest option is to use something drug-free like Prevalin nasal spray or hay-balm I think it's called which lines your nostrils (nice!!) and stops you inhaling much pollen. Otherwise I would normally advise pregnant women too speak to their GP first ? Misty Hope you're OK and finger's crossed for your apt

Cassieyellow · 03/08/2014 18:16

Thank you for hayfever thoughts, brilliant. Last time (last summer!) I was told I couldn't take anything so as soon as found out was preg this time, I stopped taking my pills (zirtek or whatever on offer in supermarket) and found this nasal spray, (not sure if Prevalin, will check) but this haybalm sounds good! Thanks for all thoughts ladies.
Sorry, misty, I knicker watch constantly expecting something, (had lots of spotting last time and it's an awful feeling) really hope it stops or Tuesday gets here quick. Hope everyone else is doing alright. I am worried that I seem to have lots of energy and haven't gone off food yet! I am preparing myself...hoovered like mad yesterday and having a roast dinner tonight (went off anything to do with roast dinners last time!?).

RumNoRaisins · 03/08/2014 19:02

Hello all. I was told in my last pregnancy that cetirizine was fine to take by my obstetrician. DH took me out for a massive steak dinner the day after we found out. If this is anything like the last pregnancy, all-day sickness will hit in the next few days so I wanted one good meal out before my love-hate relationship with food starts again.

Really dreading having to tell work - the bosses aren't going to be happy.

cinnamongreyhound · 03/08/2014 19:51

Is anyone else doing regular exercise and slightly concerned about carrying on but not wanting to stop?

lila35 · 03/08/2014 20:04

Hey misty hopefully you won't have any more bleeding and your scan on Tuesday will give you some reassurance.

I stopped exercising when I started the injections for ivf, they wiped me out, I've been taking it easy ever since, I plan on doing something when I'm sure this little one is stuck and on track, plenty of walking and maybe some yoga.

yorkshirelass82 · 03/08/2014 22:59

cinnamon I have been going out for a few runs (10 to 30 mins depending on how I've felt) and found it helped me sleep better and strangly helps with my energy levels on an evening. I'm not massively fit or anything, but I've always needed physical activity to combat stress so going to keep it up for as long as possible. 2 friends of mine continued running up to around 20 weeks with no problems. I don't have an issue with it but my OH keeps making unhelpful comments about the poor bean bouncing around!...

cinnamongreyhound · 03/08/2014 23:07

I've got a race 20th sept which is all the way round Norfolk, split into 17 legs and I'm doing 9.25 miles. I also have a half marathon booked in November Shock. Running keeps me sane but I didn't exercise at all when I had my other two so this is all new. I don't expect to be able to maintain my pace but would like to still be able to go for a run for a while yet. Dh is very supportive but my mum is desparate for me to stop already! She even got up and offered me her seat today!!!!!!

dancestomyowntune · 04/08/2014 07:15

morning all! feeling Sad this morning. morning sickness mainly but also worried as have to go to the EPU and have bloods and bp checked. even though its still early a part of me wants them to scan. dh has taken time off to come with me because i had a bit of a meltdown last night and started questioning myself. i'm suddenly very scared and feel vulnerable. Sad Sad Sad

cinnamongreyhound · 04/08/2014 08:02

Sorry to hear that you're feeling so scared dancetomyowntune but sickness is a great sign that everything is ok. Glad you have dh going with you, try not to worry as that won't help your bp, I know easier said than done Thanks

lila35 · 04/08/2014 08:46

Sending you hugs dances

RiverRocks · 04/08/2014 08:56

Keeping my fingers crossed for you today, dances. As cinnamon says, sickness is a good sign Thanks

BrixtonBunny · 04/08/2014 09:15

Fx dances but as everyone says feeling sick is supposed to be a v good sign that all is going well. Let us know how you get on xxxThanksThanksThanks

lila35 · 04/08/2014 12:23

How are you doing today misty ?

Hope you have had some reassuring news dances

I have been feeling alot less aware of my symptoms today, whether its because I am getting used to feeling sick most of the day and my boobs feeling sore or maybe they are fading off, who knows. ANyone else feeling the same?

ladyflower23 · 04/08/2014 12:54

Hope you are doing ok misty and dances. Must be v stressful to have this stuff going on.
Lila I remember from my first preg my one symptom was sore blobs and that used to come and go. This time mild sore boobs and feeling sick which varies from day today. What is stressing me out though is I feel like there's nothing happening in my womb! I remember lasttime had mild cramps, stretching pains and general sensations of stuff going on and this time nothing. Oh I hate the first 12 weeks!

dancestomyowntune · 04/08/2014 13:27

Totally agree about hating the first trimester.

Well, we are back from the early pregnancy unit. It was funny because the nurse who saw us was the same one who did the same bloods for us twelve years ago when I was pregnant with Dd1!

So blood pressure heading in the right direction! Still too high (158/98) but nowhere near as bad as it was on Friday evening (188/136).

Bloods taken and expecting results at about 4pm. She will ring me to let me know and if all is well then I will be booked for an early scan as soon ad they think they will see something.

Just a waiting game for a minute! Hope everyone else is well x

BrixtonBunny · 04/08/2014 13:48

The waiting game is hell isn't it! I still don't have any symptoms apart from the odd cramp/ pulling sensation and feeling bloated and shattered, but I'm trying not to worry and am telling myself that no news is good news. We're on holiday in France with a group of friends for a week on the 22nd so if it seems like the bean has stuck until that point we might book a reassurance scan - if something is likely to go wrong it would be good to know before going away (though I know logically that even if we have a normal scan there's still a very real chance things could go wrong in the weeks to come. Is anyone else considering one, or has anyone else had experience of them?

Dancing it's great that your bp is coming down, sending hugs xxx

Smileyaxolotl1 · 04/08/2014 15:00

Hi everyone- just dipping a toe in as I haven't told anyone in real life yet (apart from DP)
Got my BFP on Thursday and reckon I am due about 3rd April.
Just to complicate matters I am getting married next week and really worried about my dress not fitting and feeling ill etc. no proper symptoms yet apart from sore boobs and a bit of wind.
Oh and to add to the general info I am 35 - 1st baby.
Good luck to everyone. You all seem lovely. X

All sounds positive dancestomyowntune!

I don't feel too tired yet, but I'm not sleeping well! I fell asleep with 8 children in my living room at about 4pm when I was pregnant with ds2!!! My belt is uncomfortable today but my belly doesn't look any bigger so I guess it's just a bit delicate. The first trimester is definitely tough, I keep waiting for something to happen and nothing does!

dancestomyowntune · 04/08/2014 15:42

well epu just rang, hcg levels are rising nicely so booked in for an early scan next tuesday at 8:50am!!! Grin

cant tell you how relieved i am. i am sat here with a tear in my eye. such an emotional wreck Sad

cinnamongreyhound · 04/08/2014 15:59

That's great news :) Thanks

lila35 · 04/08/2014 16:03

Fabulous news dances

I feel a bit more reassured now, have defo had more waves of ms and my boobs are as sore as they were yesterday. Can someone just switch my brain offtill the 19th please, have my first scan and hopefully I'll feel a lot more positive xx

BrixtonBunny · 04/08/2014 16:16

Great news dances! Xx

dancestomyowntune · 04/08/2014 17:53

Thank you all. I'm feeling less teary now. It just feels weird, being pregnant again. And everything seems almost too easy. I mean I've fallen first cycle of trying. It's almost like waiting for something to go wrong.

Dh has been a sweetie though. Bless him he keeps reassuring me that it's all going to be fine. I know I won't fully relax until I'm past the 12 week Mark but things are definitely feeling more positive.

So how is everyone else? Anyone had any scans or midwife app's yet? Or is it still too early? I think the first three months are the hardest and it seems your just left to get on with it until about 10 weeks. Crazy! .
