Huh?! Did a bit post about half an hour ago and it's gone!

There's been another Dec baby as well at 33 weeks and also one on the January bus at 28/9w!

FB group are much more active than the mn threads atm.

Killer heartburn here this morning as well franks . Had mw appt last night and all good - bump measuring at 31.5cm, lost a kilo due to vomiting bug at weekend, bp good, baby still head down, and had last B12 shot yesterday so just been for blood test to see if levels have stabilised.

On half term and trying to get maternity cover work organised as well as sort out nursery/baby stuff. Nothing is ready atm!

basgetti · 21/10/2014 11:32

Franks I'm prescribed Rantidine for acid and it has been really effective in getting rid of heartburn (when I can keep it down!)

I'm likely to be back in hospital soon but I'll going to use the opportunity to try to pin them down with an induction date so hopefully be more the beginning of December than the end that I get this ordeal over with!

Hope everyone is doing well xx

regularbutpanickingabit · 21/10/2014 15:26

Good luck with getting an earlier induction date Basgetti, you so need to know this pregnancy can be over and your lovely baby in your arms sooner rather than later.
Just had growth scan and currently off the charts and measuring 4 weeks ahead. So much for growth restriction. 5lb 4oz already apparently... At 32 weeks.

Penguin13 · 21/10/2014 15:33

Ugh. Massively depressed. Just failed my practical driving test. I was doing so well in my lessons and was sure I was ready and just completely ballsed it all up in the first 5 mins Sad Really wanted to pass before mini penguin arrived but don't see how that will happen now .

FranksBobot · 21/10/2014 16:56

Oh Penguin have some big very unmumsnetty hugs. Don't dwell on it, what's done is done. Get yourself booked in again there is still time. Lots of Cake and Flowers for you.

Flipping heck regular that's a bloody good size for 32 weeks!

Basgetti fingers crossed you can get a date in the diary, I will mention heartburn to dr when I see him tomorrow. I'm having trouble with my hip and as I have hypermobility I need to get it checked out.

OP posts:
CoventGarden75 · 21/10/2014 20:22

boo to heartburn and sickness, it's no fair you're suffering. franks i suppose you've already tried gaviscon? what's the pb with your hip? (and agreed max is a big surprise, i wasn't expecting that)

basgetti sorry you're still struggling, fx you get a date soon

penguin Flowers the examiner had a bad day, you did great Smile

i am massive, sure baby had a growth spur, belly is very tight and sofa is now so uncomfortable that all i want is lie down in bed from 8pm.

has anyone packed their hospital bag yet? just in case? I can't imagine giving birth in 7 weeks. Antenatal has been rescheduled for sunday maybe that will bring me back to reality.

32+5

CallingAllEngels · 21/10/2014 20:36

I'm packing my hospital bag this week covent especially after all the early arrivals!

sorry to hear that penguin Sad I took 3 goes to pass my test.

Got lots of things sorted today in nursery/ds's room so can dig a box of newborn clothes out of the loft tomorrow to wash!

30+2

Penguin13 · 22/10/2014 06:08

Thanks ladies. The worst of it is that I had a lovely examiner, couldn't have asked for nicer, I just panicked and forgot everything I know. I stalled three times in 5 minutes, the last one on a junction, when I literally can't remember the last time I stalled in a lesson because it's been so long since I have Blush I just stopped the test at that point as I knew I'd failed and I was too much of a nervous wreck to continue. I can't even go over what went wrong really (other than taking leave of my senses) as it is such a blur. I have booked a new test for 20 Jan which was the next test date available but am shelling out for one of those services where you pay and they find you an earlier test date in the hope that by some miracle I can still pass in the next 5 weeks though judging by yesterday getting the test date is the easy bit.

Basgetti really hope you get a date soon. Hopefully having a date that you know that feeling so awful will end and you will have your baby in your arms will help you through those tough last weeks.

Sorry to those of you experiencing heartburn, sounds really uncomfortable. Hope you find some meds that work for you.

Covent I know how you feel being massive - I'm just waiting to be sent for a GTT or growth scan as I feel huge for my dates (and apparently everyone else thinks so too) Will see what the midwife says on Thurs. Good news that you have a new date for ante-natal class. I still find it hard to imagine that soon all the theory will become reality!

I too have resolved to pack my bag and get organised this weekend. We're sort of half organised and half not but I'll feel better once the hospital bag is at least packed.

FranksBobot · 22/10/2014 08:05

It would appear that my already loose ligaments (due to hm) have practically disappeared this pregnancy as have Started getting hip subluxation. Basically my joint is partially dislocating which can happen normally anyway but pregnancy with hm makes it slightly higher risk. Had same issue with my shoulders for years which is why I had to have surgery in January.
Heartburn woke me up at 3am this morning Sad have tried every over the counter remedy I'm allowed and a few "old wives tales" but nothing helps.

As for hospital bag, I really should get started but all I've bought for me so far is some massive (seriously huge) granny pants that will sit way above my section scar! Could probably just about get baby bag done as think we have pretty much everything for her.

CakesALot · 22/10/2014 08:16

Hi everyone!

All this talk of early arrivals has spurred me on to get my bag sorted too. It will be done this weekend!

Penguin, like the others have said, don't beat yourself up. All in the past now. Took me 3 goes too. So worth it in the end though.

My heartburn has subsided a bit but I've been fortunate that gaviscon has been enough to sort me out. My current issue is the iron tablets giving me rather loose bowel movements! I suppose it's better than constipation!

Basgetti-I hope you get that date sorted it'll be nice to know when the end is!

I'm working from home today and seeing the midwife. Then I've only got 4 more days in the office! GrinGrin Really cannot wait. I've suddenly started feeling very heavy and tired so it feels like the right time to stop.

Hope everyone is well xx

regularbutpanickingabit · 22/10/2014 08:35

Good to hear from everyone but it does sound like we are getting to the nitty gritty end of pregnancy now. Sorry for all those suffering aches and pains and heartburn as well as poor basgetti with hyperemisis.
I can't even think about packing a bag yet - we are trying to get our house on the market so keep getting stuff out of the house rather than buying stuff in! So no pushchair, car seat, bag, nappies etc yet. Still working as well. Oh, and the boiler blew so that's an enormous replacement fee just at the wrong time.
I am doing my best not to stress!

FranksBobot · 22/10/2014 20:03

I wasn't going to mention it on here but I'm feeling really low and tbh I don't want to speak to anyone in RL about it.
Today was the 3 year anniversary of the scan where it was discovered my angel baby's heart had stopped beating. I was alone when I was told and I've been alone pretty much all day today. Not a single person has remembered. Not that I really expected them too but it just makes me angry that people seem to forget that my baby did exist.
Sorry for the crappy post, I just needed to get it out.

OP posts:
CoventGarden75 · 22/10/2014 20:24

ok, i'll be packing soon too then. Today i've made a list of what might be needed, it's a start.

franks that doesn't sound good, i've got hm too but it's never been an issue so far apart from hurt pride and bruised knees from falling over in the street on a regular basis

cakes 4 days, i'm so jealous, i still have 16 working days to go, over 4 and a bit week period.

regular how stressful and frustrating about the boiler, such a bad timing.

I can't believe i haven't taken any bump pics for 3 weeks now, defo one due tomorrow @ 33w

CoventGarden75 · 22/10/2014 20:30

oh franks, i just saw your post, big big hug and thinking of you and your little angel on this sad day. [flower]

CallingAllEngels · 22/10/2014 20:39

Oh franks I'm sorry. Thinking of you. x

FranksBobot · 22/10/2014 21:42

Thanks ladies, I feel better for my little rant. Sorry to burden you all with it.
On a positive note I've reached 31 weeks today Smile

OP posts:
CakesALot · 22/10/2014 21:51

So sorry, franks. Big hugs and glad you felt you could share with us. I recently passed the due date of the baby I lost and no one remembered/realised. I just had a quiet thought to myself and gave my bump a big hug. Thoughts are with you xxx

Penguin13 · 22/10/2014 22:09

Oh Franks I'm so sorry. Huge hugs to you. Thinking of you and your beautiful angel baby Thanks

CoventGarden75 · 23/10/2014 11:07

I am not hungry but I can't stop eating anything that happens to be within my reach Blush

So bored in the office, luckily I'm meeting an ex colleague for lunch, so I'll get a break today and more food Grin

And here it is @ 33w

FranksBobot · 23/10/2014 16:17

So glad I'm not the only one that can't stop eating! I've eaten a weeks worth of fruit (for the entire household) in 36 hours. Oh and strange craving for raw pasta. I've eaten 2 normal sized bags in 3 days. It's killing my teeth but can't help it.
Hope you had a lovely lunch convent you have a really neat bump there too.

This is last weeks 30 week bump

Hi ladies. Aw you girls have super - cute bumps Covent and Franks.

Regular I remember the stress of having the house on the market all too well. Hope it's not getting too much. Never had our flat looked so consistently clean and tidy than when we had to be constantly ready for a viewing at a moments notice!

Mixed news at the midwife. Apparently baby is in the perfect position but still seems quite large. Mw discussed how sometimes if the baby is big and doesn't engage over the next few weeks it can mean things are a bit of a tight squeeze and can result in an needing an emergency cs. Personally I think there is lots of time for that to happen and was a bit Hmm about whether that possibility was necessary to bring up at this stage!

Penguin13 · 23/10/2014 19:38

Oh and I managed to rebook my driving test for 10th nov so my first week of mat leave will be dedicated to practice, practice, practice!

FranksBobot · 23/10/2014 21:15

Oooo that's great news Penguin plenty of practice and remember to just keep calm. 10th November is a special date in my family so I reckon you'll ace it.
How very bizarre of the midwife to make such a comment, I'd take it with a pinch of salt if I were you. Plenty of time for baby penguin to get into position. If I remember rightly with dd she moved down late and I was really thankfully as once she did I walked like i had pooped myself!

OP posts:
CoventGarden75 · 24/10/2014 05:33

franks lovely bump Smile and yum to fruit, I'm a sucker for pears atm but dry pasta, that's weird Grin

penguin great news about driving test, let's hope you can relax on the day, is there any hypnodrivingtest course available? Not such great news about mw comment, still plenty of time imo.

Here baby is trying to dig a hole on my right side as I'm typing, but it's not working. She still has 7 weeks to find the right exit route tho.

My brother is visiting for a few days, I'm picking him up after work and taking 3 days off next week.

Penguin13 · 25/10/2014 17:55

How's everyone doing? Shamelessly coming on here to brag share my excitement at finishing the blind for baby penguin's room. The finish is somewhat ahem 'rustic' but I am so pleased with it anyway and I even made a picture to go with it from a free sample of fabric the lovely ebay lady I ordered from sent me. I am feeling so Martha Stewart right now Grin
