Blank I'm also quite big. I think most of mine is bloatedness. Although I am starting to be the same shape all day rather than getting bigger in the evening. Definitely can't hide it anymore. Only a week and 3 days before I can shout it from the roof tops.

BunnyB39 · 18/07/2014 17:28

I'm 8 weeks and 4 days with my fifth baby, after a loooong gap! Feeling absolutely shattered, which my MIL helpfully pointed out, is probably due to my age (I'm 39)! I'm lucky not to have too much nausea, just very enhanced sense of smell; my husband's breath can make me very angry! And don't get me started on the disgusting taste of my own saliva!! Eurgh! X

GeekyHybrid · 18/07/2014 18:53

I'm officially cranky today! Two days running of 30+ heat working outdoors plus non-stop thunderstorms last night including having to comfort the dog we're looking after for friends. So need to cool down and sleep big style.

As for showing / weight gain, I've put on 4kg in the last 6 weeks. I think most of that is due to the month of monster ms where the only way I functioned was to eat non-stop. And I'm a bit constipated. Whilst the ms has eased, I am a bit bloated by the end of the day and my work trousers feel quite tight, I've been driving home with the button undone! I'm 11 weeks so hopefully I'll get the scan soon, tell people and I can get away with tracky bottoms for the next 6 months :-)

Viperama · 18/07/2014 19:26

Hi ladies - great to see all of you on here! I'm ok, had bad ms for 4 weeks but it's decreased a lot since last weekend. Still feel peakish when tired or hungry or difficulty digesting.

10+2 and I think I'm starting to show today.

Have my scan on the 7th. Any scans coming up?

Memphisbelly · 18/07/2014 19:56

I fainted this afternoon and shook for a while after, pretty scary. Supposed to be going to a wedding reception but I feel dodgy still.

Once ds is in bed I plan on eating ice lollies until bedtime.

freneticfox · 18/07/2014 20:44

viper, great that your MS has decreased. Mine vanished for about five days and I felt great, but it's back and I feel awful again. Getting quite depressed once again.

memphis could have been the heat? It'd awful here today. Hope you're feeling better.

I'm sucking on ice cubes hoping this nausea eases ASAP. 10+3 so it can't be too long.. I hope.

cactusnic · 18/07/2014 20:47

I think the heat is making nausea worse - i've noticed i'm far worse when i'm struggling with the heat and haven't drank enough. I'm downing pints of squash with ice!

freneticfox · 18/07/2014 21:15

cactus I'm currently trying to force plenty of water down and it seems to be helping so I wonder if I'm just needing additional fluid at the moment?

Oh yeah, TMI alert! I read somewhere that during the first tri you can expect your nipples to darken/expand. I hadn't experienced anything like that until I got dressed after a shower earlier and noticed that my nipples have suddenly gone very dark!

OP posts:
Memphisbelly · 18/07/2014 21:26

Frenetic yes on the nips fromt mine are like saucers....they do go back to normal again after though!
My belly is starting to go furry, another thing I forgot about from
last time having the belly of a wooky

freneticfox · 18/07/2014 21:31

A furry belly AND this heat?

Right, I'm moving into the fridge.

Memphisbelly · 18/07/2014 21:43

It will keep you warm come November

blankfornames · 18/07/2014 22:06

Ah ladies, advice (again) please! I've never been good at swallowing tablets and these pregnacare max tablets are the biggest dread of my day. My tummy is constantly delicate these days. I managed tonight(through streaming eyes & many gags) to swallow the big tablets but then finally the omega lodged in my throat and then caused me to projectile until I got it back up. Anyone been in a similar situation & any advice?! Cheers Sad

Memphisbelly · 18/07/2014 22:10

Blank I bought 3 months of the pregnacare and only managed 2 weeks of them so I am no help im afraid

blankfornames · 18/07/2014 22:16

Memphis, I'm glad I'm not on my own here. I feel most sick at night, putting it down to the tablets. I also bought 3 boxes. Was the problem that they were making you feel sick or swallowing them?

donkir · 18/07/2014 22:23

I stopped taking pregnacare as I couldn't swallow the omega 3 ones they always got stuck. I also noticed as soon as I stopped my nausea disappeared. I'm now taking sainsburys own brand that has all vits plus omega 3 in one manageable tablet.

blankfornames · 18/07/2014 22:27

Thanks Donkir, we don't have Sainsburys here but I think I'll go back to just taking the Folic acid. Interesting that the same had happened three of us..so far, horrible tablets!

Lydiejo · 19/07/2014 03:50

Doing some catching up. It's nice to know I'm not the only one feeling huge already. I'm 10+5 and look pregnant. We're telling family on Sunday, if they haven't guessed already! Not much ms here, just feel crummy. So tired I could lay on the couch all day... But then when I do I feel awful for being so unproductive. Bring on the second trimester already!

LondonBOB · 19/07/2014 10:07

I'm so annoyed with NHS!! Saw my doc @7 wks, I'm now 10 and still now booking or scan apt arrived! Or my preg card to go see dentist free etc. Have been calling surgery and referral lines which ain't easy to b doing on QT in work. Finally yest tell me I'll have booking Ayg 7th (12+6) and they'll make my 12 scan appt @ that one. I said well seeing as I'll b nearly 13 wk by then should we not be trying to get scan appt booked in now? He said u can have 12 wks scan up to 14 wks 1 day.
I'm soooo peed off. I can't tell ppl til I know it's all ok.
I'm going for private scan now next week as I just am too worried to wait. My sis found out her 2nd mc when she got early scan @10wks and baby had been gone 2wks @that point and ended up getting d&c 10days later as didn't come away naturally.....
I feel they should have better response times and be accountable too....

freneticfox · 19/07/2014 11:48

London, that sounds a bit off, have you spoken to a MW to complain?

Has anyone bought maternity trousers yet? At 10+4 I've definitely got a wee bump and my waistline is certainly vanishing!

OP posts:
fluffymouse · 19/07/2014 11:59

I had a private ultrasound today: I'm officially 8+6 (a bit further than I thought), and baby has a good heartbeat. So happy!

tonightsthekindofnight · 19/07/2014 13:11

Afternoon everyone. I'm glad other people are starting to show as at 11 weeks with baby number 3 and 4, I have a definite bump! Think I will have to dig out my maternity stuff for work next week. Shame I can't go into the office in joggy bottoms!

Had a bit of a wobble yesterday as the sickness is really getting me down. It's just so relentless and I had sort of had in my head 10 weeks as being the turning point but that is not the case. I'm so nauseous all day and tired from vomiting I'm struggling to look after the kids or do anything in the house. Trying my best to be a bit more positive today. I know how lucky I am, it's just so hard feeling this pants all the time. Tell me I am not being pathetic!?

Have been keeping an eye out for everyone's first scan as I'm hoping for a twin buddy!! Fingers crossed.

GeekyHybrid · 19/07/2014 13:28

London - your lot sound about at useless as mine! Luckily at my booking in (Weds) the mw was sympathetic and promised to try get me a scan before the wedding in a fortnight (I'll be 13 weeks by then) and had thought I could 'safely' tell everyone by then. It is very frustrating, I'm going to be chasing them again Monday and may break down and get a private scan if they're still being rubbish.

tonights - big hugs, you're not being pathetic at all, ms can be exhausting, I had weeks of being unable to do anything except barely function, the house was a disgrace and nothing got done for anything I'm involved with. You're carrying two which is so exciting but obviously seems to come with extra yuckiness. Fingers crossed it eases soon.

blank - all the multi-vits seem to be huge but my mw was very keen that I also take vit D, maybe you can get that one as a separate smaller pill to take with the folic acid. She did say the rest weren't as important.

Take care everyone, at least it's cooler today :-D

thingsarelookingup · 19/07/2014 13:31

I'm so glad to hear that so many of you are showing already! I'm 9+2 and have a definite bump. So much so that 2 people (who admittedly know I'm pregnant) have commented on it. I was beginning to be terrified that it was twins because I'm sure I wasn't showing for a long time yet last time (sorry tonight, I would be devastated by twins, 3 children is definitely not in my life plan!).

My first scan is on Monday and I'm very excited/nervous to be finally almost there.

Hopefully I'll actually be able to post a bit more over the next few weeks. I'm a teacher and the summer holidays are finally here. I've been struggling so much with tiredness over the last few weeks that I rarely manage to post. I think I was asleep before my toddler last night Blush.

Excellent news on the scan fluffy.

That is really rubbish london. I don't think they get how hard it is to wait for the first scan sometimes.

Sorry to all those still suffering from MS. It can't be much longer now.

tonightsthekindofnight · 19/07/2014 13:51

Sorry thingsare....Didn't consider I might be wishing twins upon people in a bad way!!! Ok I hope I get a twins buddy on this thread, in someone who has always longed for multiples!!

Oh and congrats on the scan fluffy, didn't spot that earlier.

freneticfox · 19/07/2014 15:28

If I hadn't had an emergency scan last week I'd suspect twins given how sick I'm feeling :(
