London I saw my doc at 6 weeks, booking in I made myself right after app and got seen a week later. So I filled in form for free dental at 7 and am now nearly 13 and only got the card a few days ago, I got told I can just tell them I am waiting for exemption as it will be in the system meaning I don't need to show card.

Frenetic I have been in maternity trousers since 7-8 weeks! Just had an ASOS delivery of some tops and new look have loads in their sale I like, pack of 3 maternity tops £6.... Thinking when it is cold and I need layers because by thrn they will be £18 again.

I had to leave work early I have been so ill today, rundown and weak, I had one hours sleep last night due to thunder all night, I am so scared of thunder I was worked up all night, its scorching here again, im so fed up

JacktheLab · 19/07/2014 16:52

Afternoon all, has anyone's symptoms faded away?

Over two weeks till my scan so I'm starting to worry Hmm

Surf25 · 19/07/2014 19:33

Congrats on the scan fluffy
And things I have my first scan on Monday too! Excited and nervous.
tonights I would actually love to have twins...and there is quite a history of them in dh's family, but I doubt it as would have expected to be sicker than I've been if it was. I've been a lot more all day and evening nauseated rather than actually vomiting, which has made a change from my previous pregnancies where it was more sick than nausea but only in the am. Anyway, am excited for Monday!!
Sorry to hear about those who are frustrated by long waits and hope the scans come through soon Smile

ClairexHynd · 19/07/2014 19:36

jenmcspen · 19/07/2014 19:48

I don't know if things r different with my living in north wales, but I had a meeting with the mw at 7 weeks before official booking in appt. They took a few details and sent off the forms for my scan then. Scan date came through before the midwife got in touch for booking in (which was last thurs). Have scan on tues, which I can't wait for. Will be 11+6 but have a few concerns due to some early concerns from the consultant in the epu. Just hope I am being over - cautious! Smile x

Jackthelab the only symptoms I have are my belly, no sickness, swollen boobs or anything anymore. I feel ill but think it is a virus

JacktheLab · 19/07/2014 21:03

Memphis

Thanks, my dh says I was worrying just the same at this stage last time but I don't remember and he won't agree to a private scan to set my mind at rest Confused

Good news is ds has gone to bed at his usual bedtime tonight so we are watching terrible TV and lying in front of the fan relaxing, happy holidays Grin

Memphisbelly · 19/07/2014 21:10

Jack, enjoy the fan, try not to worry I know it must be hard though

freneticfox · 19/07/2014 21:43

Morning fellow mum to be's wish me luck for my 1st 5k race for life today. I can't say I'm looking forward to running in this heat.

Memphisbelly · 20/07/2014 07:51

Burmama hope all is well and you have a lovely scan.
Donkir good luck you are a braver woman that me! If I ran 10 yards I would have black eyes from size of my boobs at the moment!

JacktheLab · 20/07/2014 08:14

Good morning and good luck today both!

We are off to farnborough airshow today, I might frazzle in this heat!

hufflepuffle · 20/07/2014 12:50

Marking spot. Can't believe how many are in the stats list...... Sorry I'm not contributing, not quite in frame of mind yet. Booking apt and scan not until 11th August by which I will be 12 weeks+2 so I'm nervous until then.

Did give in to cyclizine this week, just at night, has been fantastic.

Take care all
Xx

donkir · 20/07/2014 14:37

Well I made 5k in 41 minutes. Pretty good by my god what a stupid idea to do it in this heat. Couldn't get my breath.

Memphisbelly · 20/07/2014 15:43

Donkir well done! What an achievement!

Went to Mothercare today (to use the loo while in shop next door) and they have a massive sale on, the moses basket I wanted with ds is £100 and too pricey for such a needless thing but it was reduced to £40 so my mum bought it for me, A bit early but I would kick myself losing out and paying £100 in a few months. they also had loads of maternity dresses, tops and trousers for a fiver!

Burmama · 20/07/2014 17:08

Wow donkir, that is so amazing!!! You are a legend! Massive congrats! SmileSmile I had 12wk scan today, so incredibly happy and grateful the sonographer said very healthy-looking baby!! Nuchal test and all measurements good, we saw feet kicking, toes, eyes, big nose (mine) and hands touching face! He also said measuring big (I calculated 11w6 but he said 12w4) so my EDD revised to Jan 28. Aaaaand he said he thinks it's a boy!!!! Phew, big day.

blankfornames · 20/07/2014 17:56

Donkir...amazing! I couldnt run the length of myself at the moment!
Burmama, congrats on a wonderful scan! You must be chuffed!
Frenetic..poor you. Hope you feel better soon...our 2nd trimester is closely approaching, bring on the healthy GLOW!! Wink

freneticfox · 20/07/2014 17:57

Massive congrats donkir, incredible effort especially in this heat!

Burmama this is wonderful to read! Great that they told you the sex, they told my friend at her 12 week one but with ds it was obvious it was a boy bit they denied it then when I went back at the 20 week one I took the photos and she said yes we saw it was boy but shouldn't say so early, I am really hoping dh will be ground down to agreeing to an early gender scan

LittleMissSunshine33 · 20/07/2014 19:53

Hi all been MIA for a while been so busy with work! Went to a lovely baby shower this weekend was so nice talking about babies all night!

Burmama that is a lot to take in in the first scan but how lovely! Just waiting for my scan date now!

freneticfox · 20/07/2014 20:51

With scan talk flying around - can a hospital refuse to tell you the gender? I've heard that my local hospital have a policy of not telling; my friend said she had to literally coerce them into telling her about her DD.

We really want to know when the time comes, so bit worried about the thought of not being told! Then again, would any sonographer be able to tell from a 20w scan?

Feeling a bit better (touchwood) this evening, had a good look at my belly earlier and at 10+5 I most definitely have a rounding of my lower abdomen - REALLY excited by this! I've also suddenly developed uber visible boob-veins that weren't there before. Wondered if/when that would show up!
