Aw frenetic, that is pretty shitty. Any chance you can dump them for a day out at a spa or something? Or go and get some trashy mags/ a book and a years supply of chocolate and sulk in bed like I would!!

Memphis I'm in Yorkshire- not used as much as it used to be but definitely part of the vocab here. Although I am an fan which is where the username came from so not about me Grin

hazzerw · 17/07/2014 07:16

Poor you Frenetic, night nausea sounds yack!
This waiting to tell people is so hard!! We've told a few friends and parents but keeping it mostly under wraps until after the NS. Hopefully it's because it's my second but I already want to be in maternity clothes. Anyone found anywhere decent to buy any? I've got tonnes of weekend wear passed onto me but need work and work out stuff.

Have a good day everyone!

BanglesSpangles · 17/07/2014 07:53

jen im guessing student too, just wished id asked because im curious now- damn my britishness!

frenetic that sounds rather rubbish :( think i'd be sulking for a bit followed by a small tantrum until people did what i wanted. Sure this is reasonable behaviour for pregnant people, so may as well milk it :D

hanflan · 17/07/2014 08:20

I will check in properly later but just wanted to say: guy next to me on the train reeks of morning breath and stale booze and I am trying so hard not to throw up :( ahhhhh this is horrible!

Burmama · 17/07/2014 14:27

I just lol'ed at morning breath - yargh Confused hope you managed to hold it in hanflan (or at least aimed for his shoes)

hanflan · 17/07/2014 15:15

I held it in! Haha almost gagged a couple of times but I managed. Wooohooo!

JacktheLab · 17/07/2014 17:33

Soooo hot!!!

Hope everyone is managing to stay as cool as possible in this heat!

It hit 31.5c at london zoo this afternoon Shock driving in central london might not have been my best idea although the air conditioning in the car is ace Grin

Memphisbelly · 17/07/2014 17:43

Frenetic could you not ask them to go on a hike but more suited to what you could handle? Is hot tubs a no no when pg? Blush I have been in them a few times and plan on sitting in one for a long time when I next go on spa day.

Im shattered today dh was snoring like a walrus so im hoping when im massive I return the favour with my snoring and turning to get comfy then needing help off the bed to get to the loo 6 times a night! I planned on cooking shepherds pie tonight but its an oven chips and fish finger night I reckon

hazzerw · 17/07/2014 18:38

Anyone else using acupressure bands (www.sea-band.com/morning-sickness-relief/)? They take edge off the MS a bit.. I'm wearing mine blatantly tho - wasn't going to wear sleeves when the temp was 30 in the office!

BanglesSpangles · 17/07/2014 18:53

Very glad ive been off work for the last couple of days- to put it indelicately, ive had such bad trapped wind, ive spent most of today making very unladylike noises. Good job im not a lady, i guess Blush

Off on a hen weekend to benidorm tomorrow. Havent even started packing and had to panic buy a bikini in sainsburys

Memphisbelly · 17/07/2014 19:03

Hazzer I was for ms but now thats passed I am wearing them to travel in as im suffering travel and motion sickness now.

Bangles have a fab time! I am no lady either, Better out than in Wink

Just realised it was quiet, went up to find ds asleep in bed! Hope the next one goes to bed as easy

fluffymouse · 17/07/2014 20:03

Just about hanging in with the heat. thers finding it hard?

I resent my self referral today as hadn't heard anything in 3 weeks. I'm 8 weeks on Saturday, and slightly anxious I still havent heard about my booking appointment.

cactusnic · 17/07/2014 21:52

Re-scan today - puts me at about 10+4 - so, less than my LMP date, but periods were irregular, so no surprise really. Most importantly, baby has grown as expected since the scan 2 weeks ago :-) No decent pics (partly cos i'm obese), but i don't care - just happy to know everything is ok.

NHS scan is on Monday - not sure if they'll rescan after that, since rather than being 12 weeks as expected, i'll be 11 - so not sure if they'll be able to do the CUBS screening. Also dithering about when to tell DS.

Had horrible appt with my psych today, so seeing that wee heartbeat was just what i needed!

Memphisbelly · 17/07/2014 21:54

Cactusnic this is fantastic to read!

fluffymouse · 17/07/2014 22:02

I'm showing at only 8 weeks. Anyone else showing early with their second?

LittleMissSunshine33 · 17/07/2014 22:03

Bangles my OH left for Benidorm on a stag do today! Its meant to be so hot out there!

We had an inspection today and I was so hot and uncomfortable I felt dizzy and sick so observation ended up not being so great!! Roll on Summer hols!!

Memphisbelly · 17/07/2014 22:04

Yes my waist has gone up 8 inches in 12 weeks I am big.... Only 6 inches off what I was full term last time.

donkir · 17/07/2014 22:12

Fluffymouse I'm 10+4 today and the 4yr old I nanny for gave me a hug this afternoon and then commented that my tummy was bumpy and did I have a baby in there? Was completely thrown so bypassed the question. This is my 2nd and I didn't show till nearly 6 months last time. This time in big already.

jenmcspen · 17/07/2014 22:13

Has anyone else found their ms getting worse and not better? I am 11+1 now and the last week has been awful. Barely keeping anything down the last 2 days Sad . Before that it was a bit grim, but definitely copeable. Am crossing my fingers that it will b better for all of us soon Grin

BanglesSpangles · 17/07/2014 22:25

Glad to hear it cactus

littlemiss strange times- of all the destinations in all the world etc etc!

Packing finished, eating a sneaky slice of cake, then its bedland for me and my fartyburpy self (pity the poor girl thats sharing a room with me!)

fluffymouse · 17/07/2014 22:29

donkir good to hear I'm not alone. That's a very astute comment from a little girl too! With my first I didn't show for ages. I'm usually pretty skinny despite having a good appetite, but I just balloon in pregnancy

jem my sickness comes and goes. It's usually worse in the mornings, and my last pregnancy it was worst in the last trimester. I hope that doesn't happen again!

Memphisbelly · 17/07/2014 22:56

I am so tired but I cannot sleep, I feel so bloated and awful yet have hardly eaten anything, feeling very sorry for myself

freneticfox · 18/07/2014 03:05

Checking in, happy to read scan joys and commiserations for those feeling grim. I'm 10+3 and remember I thought I was getting better?
Nup. Can't sleep again tonight thanks to the full return of the incapacitating night nausea. Currently curled in a ball in our holiday cabin, praying it passes soon.

There's an end in sight, surely?

OP posts:
Memphisbelly · 18/07/2014 12:18

Frenetic really hope it passes soon.
I didn't sleep for hours last night, just been for a pedicure which was amazing amd now ds has gone out with my sis for a few hours I may go and get a Maccy D's and veg out in silence Blush

blankfornames · 18/07/2014 16:32

Ladies, this is my first, I've been eating reasonably well white bread is my best friend but not doing any exercise as I feel like crawling up and sleeping all the time. I feel my belly is very round and my SIL who knows I'm pregnant said that it'll be hard for me to hide it any longer. Even when I get up in the morning, I feel massive. I've had a scan and there's only one little bean in there. I didn't think I'd expand till at least 14 weeks with a first pregnancy... I'm only 9+2. I'm not complaining as I can't wait to show off a big bump, but my bean is only the size of a grape at the moment so can't understand my 'roundness'!!!
