Good luck donkir everyone likes good news!

Blank I love maternity clothes my SIL didn't buy any her whole pregnancy I've already bought trousers and tops and wanting jeans I see it as an investment as it's my first ... That's what I tell OH anyway!

I was so worried this morning that I saw red specks when I wiped ... Turns out it was fluff from my new pjs! Blush

BanglesSpangles · 16/08/2014 11:57

Morning all
Been up since the crack of dawn elbow deep in icing- just stopping for a restorative cuppa.

Mustve missed the kiwi fruit thing, memphis- will def be giving that a go- the twitching is driving me crazy
Littlemiss- glad to know its not still weird to be on knicker watch!
Hope anyone still feeling rubbish is having a restful weekend- frenetic, directing this your way- your work people sound absolutely horrible. Jen, glad the iron tablets are doing their thing

HerRoyalNotness · 16/08/2014 14:07

memphis hope he is okay!!

littlemiss Grin

jenm I had low Bp in 2nd lregancny, couldn't do anything strenuous without getting dizzy and almost passing out, including carrying the groceries in from the car! DH was useless as he'd just broken his leg. It was quite a nightmare. I had to tell the safety guy at work, if you see me lying in the ground, I'm okay, I have to do that until the dizziness passes, so don't worry. The worst one was the first spell I got. I had DS1 swimming at the local pool and suddenly felt myself about to blackout, I got out of the pool with him, but he kept trying to run back to it. Called for help and had the ambulance and fire engine turn up for me (in canada, standard). The hooked me up to the machines and couldn't find a pulse, pretty sure I was alive. Got me in the ambulance on heart monitor and that have dodgy readings as well. They paramedics were trying not to freak out. But I was still alive, thinking wtf? Turns out their equipment was all dodgy. DH was away in the UK and I couldn't think of anyone I could call to come get DS1, living in tiny town, only been there a couple of months. Was awful. So glad we moved back to a city just before I was due and didn't have to give birth there!

Oh and the hospital was about a 3min walk from the pool and I got a bill for a couple hundred dollars a few months later for the ambulance ride!

Bangonthedoor · 16/08/2014 15:57

God I feel so bad today....had a pretty rough day so far, had a morning at work and had this awful headache and nausea all day Hmm I'm so tired I could actually just fall asleep anywhere. DD is desperate to do something fun but I've just put her in front of the tele where she has been since lunch time. I feel so guilty Sad please someone tell this is ok and won't effect her? Counting down until bed time...

Memphisbelly · 16/08/2014 16:09

Little miss I got my jeans on the next sale page £14 they are fab and they still have loads in stock.

Bangon dont worry she will be fine, ds lived on Scooby doo for first 6 weeks while I dozed or sat there panting to get rid of sick feeling.

I need a maternity tankini or something, I am going on a spa day soon and cant have my lily white belly on show us my boobs dont fit in the bikinis I own.
Going out tonight with my best friends for a bit I have bought cans of lemonade to start me off when we meet at the house...used to be 2 bottles of wine before I wobbled pub!

Bimberley · 16/08/2014 18:17

Hi everyone. Sorry some of you are still feeling awful!
We have been out shopping today. Didnt buy any baby things but did buy some maternity clothes. Also treated DCs to a toy each as they were good while we were out.
About to put Dcs in bath then bed, then me and Dh will get some dinner.

Have the joy of laying our new bathroom floor tomorrow!

Have a good evening everyone :)

freneticfox · 16/08/2014 19:56

Soo, we bought an AngelSounds Doppler weeks ago, under the strict condition we wouldn't use it before 14 weeks. 14 weeks today and I couldn't resist. I knew not to get my hopes up, but incredibly I found baby's heartbeat almost straight away! Certain it wasn't mine - much faster! Bean kept wriggling away, so kept having to send DH away then calling him back. Am feeling totally blown away.

Work situation took a weird turn yesterday - I found out that a girl in the office who is trying to get pregnant decided I wasn't acting grateful enough and people were just following along with the majority - apparently I once referred to our growing baby as 'it' - which I don't remember doing - and this makes me a horrific person apparently. It all came out after I snapped and demanded to know why people were treating me so badly (ignoring me when I say good morning, excluding me from team lunches etc).

Going straight to HR Monday morning, I'm certain this is bullying.

Bangonthedoor · 16/08/2014 20:11

frenetic that is total bullying!! I'm so shocked that this is happening to you. I really hope HR take you seriously and the matter gets sorted. God I feel really angry for you!

But wowee on the heartbeat!! That's amazing. I might invest in one now Grin

freneticfox · 16/08/2014 20:24

Yeah I'm still a bit shell shocked. I tried to get answers in person but was stonewalled - this all came to be by text message AFTER I got home. Was floored by the unprofessional attitude. It's such a shame that it's turned out this way. I have gone out of my way not to talk about my pregnancy at work so I don't upset anyone; and this whole thing has just made me miserable.

OP posts:
Bimberley · 16/08/2014 21:40

Frenetic fox how awful! Some people are really nasty!

jenmcspen · 16/08/2014 22:25

Hope they sort things quickly for u frenetic. I think u have enough to deal with with how ill ur feeling without u having to deal with ppl being so ridiculous.

freneticfox · 16/08/2014 22:31

I guess it's good that it's all out in the open; still got a nasty taste about the whole thing though. Trying to focus at the moment on what's important: DH and bean. Finding myself wishing time away though, just want to meet our baby already!

OP posts:
Memphisbelly · 16/08/2014 23:47

Frenetic I am so shocked by your works behaviour, do you get paid full sick pay? I would go to the doctors if you do and get a sick note then let HR deal with the shit storm while you are off.

I didn't go out tonight in the end I anpm so bloated I can barely move and also had an emotional cry telling dh I feel really alone as he is away so much at the moment.annot wait to have a proper day with him and ds tomorrow then dh is taking me cinema and for a meal in evening.

freneticfox · 17/08/2014 00:50

I've used my company sick pay being off sick with sickness and unrelated other health issues. So I'm stuck until maternity starts. I just feel helpless. Either way, it's going to be stressful.

Memphis, sorry you're having an emotional one, be sure to relish your cinema date :)

BanglesSpangles · 17/08/2014 08:23

Frenetic that is absolutely disgusting! How old are these people?! As horrible as it is, im glad things have come to a head and you have something concrete to take to hr with you- good luck, hope it all gets sorted and im sure karma will come and bite these bullies in the arse regardless

Memphis- hope you have a lovely day with your fam and feel better for venting to your oh- sometimes all you need is a good cry :)

Grinningcat · 17/08/2014 09:40

Frenetic it is disgusting how you are being treated. Sounds like the people you work with are very immature. It is definitely bullying and I am glad to say that my work would never put up with behaviour like that.

There is one person in my team I know was trying to get pregnant as well so I tried to meet up with her separately to tell her before I made a general announcement. She ended up texting me to say say she couldn't meet up as she was off sick as she had just found out she was pregnant!

Very relieving to hear there are lots of us in the crappy dinner club. My appetite has improved the last few days, but I am soooo tired I'm just not motivated to cook. OH doesn't really cook, so a regular staple has been chicken and vegetable soup because he can heat that up. Off to dinner out with Dad today. Another meal I don't have to prepare.

LittleMissSunshine33 · 17/08/2014 13:28

Frenetic I cant believe how they are being you don't need that stress! Having once worked in a school where people were often bullied I suggest keep everything such as texts, emails and write everything else down keep a diary of anything which is said or done the more proof you can have the better otherwise it's just your word against theirs! Will you go back there after having baby?

I have a new respect for those of you who already has a DC! I looked after my godson yesterday who is 2 and very good but I am shattered today being my first baby due I get to relax as much as poss well having my gorgeous godson really gave me anew sense of pregnancy tiredness!!

freneticfox · 17/08/2014 13:51

Thank you all so much for your kind words; I was bullied horrifically in high school and at least I don't feel as alone or helpless this time. I take my career very seriously and have always been staunchly professional, so being in an environment like this is really hard for me; everything is cloak and dagger and I'm not used to that in a place of work. Dreading tomorrow, as I just don't know what was said after I left on Friday; but I have the text messages and I will try and get some advice from HR.

Feeling ok today, had about an hour of nausea last night, which is a huge improvement. Yay! One of our cats has a very swollen and warm paw, poor little mite. Vet visit tomorrow :(

OP posts:
Memphisbelly · 17/08/2014 15:04

Frenetic this makes me feel sick reading about how awful they are, is there a union or something you could talk to or do you think HR will pull people up on it in the correct manner?

I didn't go out and my best friend got punched, for no reason (the lad who did it went to hit someone else and missed, flooring my friend as he passed, he was actually aiming for a woman Shock) he has never been hit before, dh is relieved I didn't go out as I would have piled in to protect my friend....and the woman!

We have been for a walk in the woods today and mow ds has gone for the night

Bimberley · 17/08/2014 15:05

Hi all! I hope you feel better soon frenetic fox! We are all here to listen :)

Just been to the park and done some food shopping. Now running a bath that no doubt will be taken over by two little people!

No pregnancy moans today :D

freneticfox · 17/08/2014 18:09

Just got back from the cinema, DH and I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy - fab film!

I also almost single handedly devoured a large vat of popcorn. Oops.

OP posts:
Memphisbelly · 17/08/2014 21:39

We went to see the Inbetweeners, I laughed so much at one bit I had to lesve as I thought I was going to vomit Grin (childish humour here)
Followed by an awful meal in Frankie and Bennys which included meals being wrong twice, and dh sitting on a chair with chewing gum on it so a ruined pair of trousers, I actually cried. Ho hum back home now and I will get a childfree lie in ahhhhhh

hazzerw · 18/08/2014 06:08

Good luck today Frenetic. Have you thought of some things you can negotiate on? Would it be possible for you to work from home once a week?

I've never heard of anything so ridiculous as being judged not grateful enough and being offended because you called Bean 'it'. I think you're right tho,it's a good thing to have it brought to a head.

I went to HR at 9 weeks because there was some unpleasantness going on in my team and they were great. Hope your lot are too.

JacktheLab · 18/08/2014 06:49

Good luck for today from me too Frenetic, hope you get some support!

Bimberley · 18/08/2014 07:51

I hope today goes as well as it can frenetic
