Bangles yes she got it good....she was the one out of the two of us who listened in school and can command big bucks..... I am a market trader Grin

Viperama · 11/08/2014 21:37

Bangles my workplace does 3 months full pay, on return, on your third month you get an extra months salary as a returner bonus.

Ticktick · 11/08/2014 21:41

I haven't officially approached HR yet so I don't know for sure what I will get but having snooped around the corporate policies on our internal website I've seen that I should get 7 weeks full pay then it reverts to smp. Deff ask for more, I might have a go to see if I can chance it. If you don't ask you don't get!

JacktheLab · 11/08/2014 22:32

If it hasn't changed since last time I get six weeks at 90%, six weeks half pay and the 21 weeks at smp, remainder will be no pay whah!

I've already told my boss I'll be taking the whole year off. Planning to start my leave on 4th jan, although I'll have Xmas off anyway cos the office is shut.

Worth remembering you accrue annual leave and holidays which you can add onto the end of your leave too, so I'll use annual leave in dec 2015 and get a salary before Xmas Wink

Bimberley · 12/08/2014 08:01

Bangon I have done that too! Pregnancy is lovely! I'm liking my boobs g the moment. I have gone up two cup sizes from a B to a D so I'm just happy I have boobs for now! Will probably go back to nothing after.

I'm really craving Chinese takeaway! Haven't had one for about a year but this baby wants one! Could eat it now for breakfast.

donkir · 12/08/2014 08:59

After a busy weekend with family and most of them feeling the need to comment on the fact my tummy is huge for nearly 15 weeks. That gave me a confidence boost Hmm
I'm a nanny so just getting standard smp but my bosses are giving me lots of free stuff like cot and clothes they no longer need. I'm working right up until I drop and then going back after Easter if everything goes to plan.
Wishing these big meteors on my face would disappeared.

freneticfox · 12/08/2014 09:00

I think my work does the standard minimum, 26 weeks on reduced pay then 26 weeks on Statutory Maternity Pay. I've been made to feel SO unwelcome since falling pregnant though, it's genuinely horrible.

Just put my hand on my stomach and got a sharp swipe across it! I'm wondering whether it was baby. Shocked me because it felt clear and sharp! Now nothing!

JacktheLab · 12/08/2014 12:37

Aw frenetic Hmm hope things get better soon!

Bimberly, exciting!

Anyone still feeling very tired?y bump hurts too on the mornings but ds weighs about 40lbs now so carrying him any distance is such hard work! Poor soul just wants a carry sometimes so I can't refuse but they are much shorter than they used to be!

Oh hello post lunch heartburn.....Wink

cactusnic · 12/08/2014 15:31

Sorry to moan, but this has been the worst day so far, with sickness/nausea. Last day of the school holidays here, so i took DS to the cinema, where i sat gagging, thinking i was going to vomit.

Then on the ten minute walk home, i puked three times. Poor DS was standing feeling helpless. And it totally helped when a police van slowed down to a crawl as i was puking in the gutter - not!

fluffymouse · 12/08/2014 17:22

I had my 12 week scan today. Little bean is doing great, and was the most hyper thing ever. It was really funny!

Baby was pretty big so now my due date is adjusted to 20 February. :)

LittleMissSunshine33 · 12/08/2014 17:25

Oh no cactus poor you!! How far gone are you now? Was you as sick with DS?

Jack my pay is the same as you but I won't go much into just smp as I will be going back touchwood part time!!

You lucky things with nice boobs mine are a good size but have broken capillaries all over them Hmm

LittleMissSunshine33 · 12/08/2014 17:27

Congrats Fluffy!! Is there many more people yet to have their scans?

shellbyville · 12/08/2014 17:41

Mine is on Thursday. Super nervous, don't remember being nervous first time round!

Cactus that sounds awful, poor you.

Bimberley · 12/08/2014 17:43

Congrats fluffy!

Cactus sorry you have felt so bad today.

Just got back from my 16 week appointment with midwife. I have another UTI. Just hope this one doesn't land me with a hospital stay.

I heard baby!! Took a while to find heartbeat but was so good to here :) Feels so real!
Countdown to 20 week scan begins now :)

Memphisbelly · 12/08/2014 17:58

Bimberley thats exciting, I haven't felt anything since weekend, think the kicks are few and far between at first.
Cactusnic oh no this sounds horrific hope tomorrow is a better day.

I had a customer today little neat bump (smaller than mine) massive boobs hoiked up to her chin in a push up bra buying bows for baby headbands for her baby due end of Nov...... She had a tiny bump! I thought she would say 8 weeks gone.
Im officially 4 months today

GeekyHybrid · 12/08/2014 18:36

Hello guys. Sorry not been around much, still so tired and finding it hard to get around to doing anything. Still haven't sorted out wedding photos / written thank you cards etc.. Really need to get my ass in gear. Huge pile of ironing to tackle too :-(
And Donkir, if it's any consolation I also have 'skin issues' e.g. huge volcanoes erupting on my cheeks. I never got zits on my cheeks before even as a teenager, classic 'T' yes but this is taking the Michael!!
Oh, and I've officially given up on wearing my uniform trousers, they were just getting too uncomfortable so in maternity jeans (£7 in the New Look sale) but they're a bit loose at this stage so every so often people get a 'cracking view', tee hee. Lots of bending over in horticulture! Oh well, longer t-shirts it is :-)

freneticfox · 12/08/2014 18:44

Sorry you've felt so rubbish cactus, I really do sympathise!

I've completely given up on hoping I'll ever feel better, maybe I'll just get a nice surprise one day. 14w on Saturday, stranger things have probably happened. I'm just uber impatient!

Mum and Mum-in-Law received their copies of our 12w scan today (they live a good couple of hours away) and both guessing boy, despite all posts online reckoning girl... I'm still inclined to say girl based on a gut feeling.

Long ol' wait to 20 weeks isn't it!

Bangonthedoor · 12/08/2014 19:08

That's great bimberley! Can't wait to hear mine Grin

Sorry to hear today was so crap for you cactus is there anything that seems to help you? For me it's always been eating apples and brushing my teeth!

Who's actually finding out the sex of baby?? We're not...although I'm tempted this time but I know DP feels so strongly against it! We didn't with DD either.

God I used a new fabric conditioner for the first time today, it was on a fab offer and now I know why Confused as it's windy I put it all on the airer in the conservatory to dry in the sun and my god does it stink?!? It absolutely stinks of really old/gone off/old lady perfume! Now I gag each time I go in that direction!

Memphisbelly · 12/08/2014 19:18

Bangonthedoor how weird I bought a new conditioner and it smelt nice but on the clothes its rank old lady perfume!

I will be finding out the sex, I want to know now, I am so impatient! I am positive this one is a girl though. If it is I can see huge clashes on the name, dh doesn't like anything I like but picked a really 70's/80's Name and his mum agreed! Confused it will never happen Grin

Grinningcat · 12/08/2014 21:09

Hi All. I'm new here. Currently due on the 22nd Feb 2015 with my first pregnancy, but my 12 week scan is tomorrow so who knows what will happen! A bit nervous tonight, but we had an early scan at 6 weeks 3 days that showed everything as it should be and a little heartbeat and we've got no reason to think anything is wrong. I'm developing a bump now and everything is stretching/pulling so I guess there is something getting bigger in there. I will still be much reassured tomorrow evening though.

Bangonthedoor · 12/08/2014 21:16

How strange memphis! This one is a yellow coloured lenor one. Don't think I can actually use it again!

I am dreading the whole naming thing! It took us 3 weeks to name DD after she was born Blush we don't lack in ideas we just don't agree on ANYTHING Grin

Memphisbelly · 12/08/2014 21:24

Welcome grinningcat keep us posted on scan.

Bangon this was the Comfort bluebell and something or other I have given mine to my mum and had to rewash everything.

After saying I hadn't felt any movement in a few days on the phone to dh and I felt a definate thumpSmile

Regarding name I wouldn't let dh call anyone until we had a name with ds! I plan on going in with 3 names to pick from.

cactusnic · 12/08/2014 21:48

Good luck to those still waiting on scans!

Thanks for all the sympathy, today really has bee rough! I'm 14+3 now, and wasn't anywhere near as unwell with DS - i'm older now though, and have far more "wrong" with me though, so... I crashed and napped earlier, but my eyes are still shutting.

frenetic - you really do have my sympathies. I've coped ok so far, but if it continues like this, i'm hotfooting it to the doc!

blankfornames · 12/08/2014 22:02

Poor you still feeling so unwell. Fx it passes for everybody soon & that we begin to glow together!
This is our first baba so don't want to find out. I sometimes think that there are few surprises in life anymore so we'll try & hold off finding out! Though the fact that I haven't been sick & the fact that, in my family, parents families & cousins families..boys have been first born, so therefore I reckon it's a boy! Who knows!
As for names, anything I suggest, DH comes up with a teasing rhyming name to accompany it!

Has anyone gone down the cloth nappy route?
