Blanks have a look at fillyourpants its a local highly rated company to me, they have nappy gurus all over the uk and they come out and talk about all the types of cloth and pros and cons to them all, well worth a look

hazzerw · 12/08/2014 22:27

Hmph, family comments on my bump featured in my weekend too!

Had a meeting today and 3 out 10 of us were pregnant! A 28 weeker had a lovely neat small bump, ah well!

I did cloth nappies last time and will prob do them again, Blank.

blankfornames · 12/08/2014 22:32

Thanks Memphis but I'm in Ireland.
Hazzer, what kind did you use if you don't mind me asking!

Bangonthedoor · 12/08/2014 22:32

A question about cloth nappies...is it not just a real pain having all that extra washing? I love the thought of cloth nappies though and said to myself I'd look into it next time!

bellaboo88 · 12/08/2014 22:56

Fox, I'm miles better...if I com now its generally because I forget to eat. Got a bump already :O I'm still about 5/6lbs lighter than pre pregnancy so bubbas got nowhere to hide!

Anyone else belching like crazy? Xx

Memphisbelly · 12/08/2014 23:42

Blanks you could always email for any advice, it isn't for the hard sell they just want people to understand different types of cloth.
I started on cloth last time but ds had a dodgy tummy for first year of his life due to undiagnosed dairy intolerance/un interested gp (27 nappies in a day anyone?) so we gave up pretty quickly

blankfornames · 13/08/2014 07:16

Oh dear, poor Mimi Memphis & poor you having all those nappies to change! I hope your LO this one gets to use them!

BanglesSpangles · 13/08/2014 08:05

Morning all!

Geeky/donkir, I'm not quite at uber eruption yet, but have worken up with a massive boil on my chin. Can actually feel it pulsating

bang We are going to find out about gender- figured we can have a surprise in 2 months or in 6- and I'm an impatient moo. Have convinced myself is a girl too, so will be good to get myself out of that train of thought as soon as I can is I'm wrong!

Welcome grinning, I will add you to the stats list, I love the stats list

LittleMissSunshine33 · 13/08/2014 08:20

Bangles I think the stats list needs lots of updating as a lot of people's dates have changed after their scan!

Blank I'd love to try cloth nappies but never seen them used! I'm the same don't want to know as not many surprises in life and hoping it will make me push harder lol! I also think I'm having a boy due to lack of sickness ...

Anyone else agree on that theory less sick or no sickness with a DS than a DD?

Memphisbelly · 13/08/2014 08:24

Littlemiss I will get back to you in 4 weeks, if this is a girl then it will be a yes more sickness for a girl Grin

hanflan · 13/08/2014 10:06

littlemiss some of my friends who had AWFUL sickness had boys! My mum wasn't sick at all with me, but was very very sick in her second pregnancy, both girls! I don't think there is any pattern to it to be honest, just luck haha

hanflan · 13/08/2014 10:07

I have been chucking my guts up almost daily so we'll see if it's a boy or a girl in a few weeks (I'm convinced it's a boy!)

Memphisbelly · 13/08/2014 10:28

My mum was sick with all 3 of us until 24 weeks (2girls 1 boy) my friend has 2 girls, one no sickness and one so bad she was admitted to hospital, yet my doc insists most sickness filled pregnancies are due to twins or girls!
Been at emergency docs with ds he has bad tonsilitis, his thoat is almost closed up so oxygen levels are slightly dipped, she is hoping anti bs will improve him a bit today if not she said to call 999 with any change eek!

Awwww memphis that must have been scary! Hope he feels better soon.

Memphisbelly · 13/08/2014 10:43

Don't know why it posted twice

LancashireTea · 13/08/2014 11:03

Hello. I know I am late to the party (I'm not normally a late person!) but I finally got my dates at my 12 (but actually only 11) week scan. I'm due with my first on the 28th Feb, so I only just count.

Can I join in the fun?

Bimberley · 13/08/2014 11:57

Welcome Lancashire :)

Off to drop my urine sample into doctors today. Then have to wait 3/4 days while they work out what antibiotics I need. Kidneys are hurting today :(. I pray I don't end up in hospital again. I just hope I'm not hurting the baby with all these kidney and uti infections.

Woken up very dizzy today as well. Have just had a very sugary tea to see if that will help.

freneticfox · 13/08/2014 12:04

Welcome to the fun Lancashire!

So I actually had a fairly decent night's sleep last night, so you'd think I'd feel refreshed today? NOPE. Actually feel even more tired. And I'm irrationally emotional. A colleague said she liked my hair in its up-do and I responded by crying. Full of class and poise.

Also decided to respond to anyone who tells me I should be feeling better by heaving in their general direction.

Glad I'm not the only one with crazy reactions at the moment.

I almost punched and cried at the man in Dreams simultaneously on Sunday when he was telling us that that we wouldn't get our mattress in time for our move in 2 weeks (the bloody thing was ordered over a month and half ago), unless we brought a ton of paperwork with us to change the delivery address from our new flat to the current one (we rent and are going from furnished to unfurnished) and even then he couldn't guarantee it. I went a bit mad and asked if he expected a pregnant woman to sleep on the floor or pay for a hotel for a week and would that be refunded from the cost of the mattress. He changed his tune fairly quickly and rebooked it the next day. (Note: that was an unintentional rant - phew!)

UTIs are scum, Bimberley. I was plagued before I got pregnant. Thankfully they have calmed down for now.

hanflan · 13/08/2014 12:46

frenetic I'm still living in (possibly naive) hope that it will all get better. Still throwing up daily but IT WILL GET BETTER! haha.

thingsarelookingup · 13/08/2014 13:21

Welcome Lancashire. My dh has just given me a deadline of Saturday to finish telling my friends our news before he announces to Facebook and I just used up the last of my free minutes to Australia. Arghhhh.

BanglesSpangles · 13/08/2014 16:19

littlemiss i went through the whole of this thread in a quiet day at the office and updated anyone that had given a changed date (i didn't bother doing anyone that had just said they'd been adjusted by x days though... did think about compiling a spreadsheet that worked out the adjustments automatically, but i've not got round to it yet! IT WILL HAPPEN!)

Have been adding new people too- that said I spotted someone I'd missed this morning, but it was a right pain to do it on my phone!

BanglesSpangles · 13/08/2014 16:20

man, that last post made me sound like such an admin mentaler :D

freneticfox · 13/08/2014 16:25

Got my nuchal results letter type thing today; low risk. Perked my afternoon up after a rubbish morning!
