Aw Memphis any thing wrong?

I'm so looking forward to the weather cooling down, my ds was an October baby so I'm really grateful neither of these pregnancies have resulted in mid summer babies, I might have died if I'd been heavily pregnant this summer!

Bimberley · 08/08/2014 14:07

Hope you are ok Memphis!

I've got the mother of all headaches today! Just want to curl up in bed. No chance of that with the DCs about. DS is throwing some right tantrums as well!

Memphisbelly · 08/08/2014 14:26

my ds is being challenging....you know the one who I said is never any bother, this coupled with dh being away and hormones is redulting in me blubbing constantly (I rarely cry at anything usually)

LittleMissSunshine33 · 08/08/2014 15:01

Hi All

I haven't read through all the posts so welcome if there were any newbies! And congrats to more positive scans!!

A few people are having heartburn me too! I read it's because the baby is practising breathing! I also find my asthma is bad but again Mr Google said it is because the baby is starting to push on my lungs ... Nice!

JacktheLab · 08/08/2014 15:23

Ah Memphis, I know all about challenging sons, although yours is a bit older than mine? Most nights I wish I could have a glass of wine after bedtime! Confused

Hope your dh is home soon though

BanglesSpangles · 08/08/2014 15:37

bang ah-ha! Well at least I've not just been imagining it! Swear last year i had about 3 the whole summer... at the moment it looks like Ive got some kind of tropical disease!

Bangonthedoor · 08/08/2014 15:39

God jackthelab do I miss my bedtime glass of wine!! Hugs to you memphis Thanks

My shopping has just arrived with alcohol free kopperberg and my marmite cheese bites...that's my evening mean sorted Grin

JacktheLab · 08/08/2014 17:00

I'm in Pizza Hut waiting for my takeaway ha ha! Grin

Memphisbelly · 08/08/2014 18:07

Jack yex he has just turned 4 I suppose I should be grateful we didn't have any tantrums until now.
I was at work today, mum told me to pack up an hour early and dh has phoned to say do I want takeaway.....erm yes Grin
As soon as he comes in I am going for a soak in the bath though!

freneticfox · 08/08/2014 21:03

Hope you're feeling better Memphis!

Could my nausea be upgrading itself to heartburn? I have a weird 'full' sensation in my chest that feels a bit warm like I need to burp but I can't (TMI, sorry). Never had heartburn so I am friggin clueless.

Frenetic yep that sounds like heartburn, you can get liquid Gavascon (that is so thick you have to almost suck it from the bottle) it is safe while pg

freneticfox · 08/08/2014 21:56

Shall get myself off to Tesco tomorrow! A friend also recommended McD's Milkshakes... hmm.

As long as it's instead of rather than in addition to the nausea... all of it together, then screw it. I'm hibernating until Feb.

Memphisbelly · 08/08/2014 22:15

You can get it prescribed from docs and if that stops working you can get a 1 a day pill, I will be getting these before xmas even if I don't have heartburn as all of that rich food is bound to set me off!

JacktheLab · 09/08/2014 06:50

Frenetic I hate gaviscon so Rennes tablets work well too.

LittleMissSunshine33 · 09/08/2014 09:51

That's good to know you can take those while pg!
I got my NHS card yesterday for free prescriptions and dentist and it's up til baby is a yr which is fab! And got my letter regarding Down syndrome test and I'm low risk although because of my age the low risk is still 1/940 Shock

Viperama · 09/08/2014 10:02

Littlemiss how long did it take to get your results letter from scan? My scan was Thursday 7 and we're on holiday from 20. Hope we get before we leave. I'm an old timer as well! Wink

BanglesSpangles · 09/08/2014 10:28

Oh frenetic im liking the sound of the mc milkshakes- worth a go, cos im with jack- i think gaviscon is foul!

Good morning chapettes, just done my saturday morning sloooow run, now time to reward myself with fried egg sandwich, followed by cuppa with the oh's best man (and oh, obv). Curry tonight with grandmother in law, and im more excited than i should be!

What do your weekends have in store?

donkir · 09/08/2014 11:55

Morning ladies, gaviscon also do tablets. I have a small tub in my bag just in case although so far so good.
Anyone felt little one yet? I swear I felt little flutters a few times last night.

freneticfox · 09/08/2014 11:59

Quiet weekend for me. 13w today so I'm trying to be all hopeful that maybe this week is a turning point in the battle against nausea! Seriously, it's been a rubbish few months.

I'm kind of dreading trying the Gaviscon now, eeek! I have a huge stash of Tums (from my obsessive emetophobic days), they're meant to be quite good too.

LittleMissSunshine33 · 09/08/2014 12:08

Viper my scan was Monday 4th so hasn't taken long at all!

Donkir that's so exciting how far gone are you?

I'm wear a tight(ish) maxi dress and now proud to be showing my bump it's definitely bigger than should be but I cant keep wearing baggy things!

Bangles everything revolves around food for me now! I have my family coming round for a BBQ and I have well over done it with food!!

donkir · 09/08/2014 12:14

I'm 14+3 with 2nd. Will see if it continues or I imagined it

Cookie1831 · 09/08/2014 13:33

I am 14+2 with second and am sure I have felt a couple of little tapping sensations not gurgly like wind which is nuts as didn't feel first until after 20 weeks

donkir · 09/08/2014 13:37

They do say you feel it earlier in 2nd as you know what it feels like. OH was so disappointed he couldn't feel it too.

Memphisbelly · 09/08/2014 15:21

I think I felt something this morning, its usually about 6 wehpaft
