Surf25 · 29/07/2014 18:00

Great news, donkir
Hope all those not feeling so great see some improvements soon...and that goes for me too!!

Memphisbelly · 29/07/2014 18:04

Donkir this is amazing news, been checking in to see for news, phew!

GeekyHybrid · 29/07/2014 18:32

Yay donkir, glad the scan went well. I hope things improve soon for all you ladies suffering with m/s, it really is no fun at all. The heat is really making me real lethargic and light-headed at times. NHS scan tomorrow :-D it'll be nice to see sproglet again, fingers crossed. An evening collapsed on the sofa for me I think, hope everyone else is getting chance to relax.

freneticfox · 29/07/2014 18:48

So pleased scan went well donkir, you must be relieved :)

Poor you Frenetic.. Hope it calms down

Glad you had good news Donkir!

I had my scan this morning, all groovey, so lovely to see arms and legs waving! My EDD moved to 6th feb. Now just 7 days till blood test results but as all good this morning we've decided to tell the kids at the weekend. We're camping so it will be an exciting time!

hazzerw · 29/07/2014 18:58

Oh and hope it goes well tomorrow Geeky!

Memphisbelly · 29/07/2014 18:59

Hazzer where are you camping? We are going to Wells on Friday....set to rain

GeekyHybrid · 29/07/2014 21:06

OMG - looked down in the bath and my nipples are almost black! Sorry if tmi but just had to share, caught me by surprise. OH is going to be a bit startled me thinks ;-)

thingsarelookingup · 29/07/2014 21:17

Great news donkir.

Hugs to all of you suffering. That must be really tough. Hope you feel better soon too memphis.

How are you doing viper? Cramps are common and generally normal. Little one is just renovating their home to make some more room Smile.

We told the grandparents on the weekend. Well, DS did and they were really happy. I think they really loved hearing it from him too. He said 'I'm going to be a big brother because my mummy has a baby in her tummy". Adorable coming from him.

Enjoy the scan tomorrow geeky

hazzerw · 29/07/2014 22:08

We're camping at a festival in lulworth cove; also set to rain!

Ticktick · 29/07/2014 22:36

Evening all :)
Just checking in, I'm off to see consultant tomorrow to be risk assessed as I've previous had a dvt following a back injury. Might be joining to clexine club, will see tomorrow.

Scan booked for a week today, still not feeling pregnant so can't wait to know everything is ok and I'm not imagining it!

Sorry so many of you are still feeling poorly, hope things improve soon x

Viperama · 29/07/2014 22:40

Donkir so pleased all is well. I've had cells removed as well. My midwife has me booked in for a Prem check in two weeks to check cervix ok so far, are you having one?

Hey Things I'm good now thank you. It was just weird waking up to menstralish feeling cramps as I always come on in morning and it really felt like it. Read online today baby starts moving upwards at this point so I guess it makes sense. I'm just paro after mc in feb!

So I had to pee in toilets at paddington on my way home as it's now impossible to go 2 hours without peeing. Mid hover I thought this is really uncomfortable on my belly.....and I thought wtf am I going to do when I'm really big? Use a crane to hover?

Ladies that have done this before, what do we do?! Confused

donkir · 30/07/2014 06:58

Thanks everyone. I'm so relieved. Think will abstain for the next 6 months Smile
Viper I'm being clinically led but first consultant app not until 21st August. Seem to be really busy as they had to change my consultant as mine had no room until after my 20 week scan.

Memphisbelly · 30/07/2014 08:38

Viper can you put paper on the seat so you can sit or even buy some of those disposable seat covers off the internet?

Donkir I haven't DTD in 8 weeks after our honeymoon when I got awful cramps, scared me to death.

Woke up feeling ok today, going to go to the MW then to buy some new bras then come back and put away the mamouth pile of ironing my mum did for me yesterday!

ProudlymadeinSA · 30/07/2014 12:44

Donkir - so happy for you.

I think I am turning a corner. 13+6 and I haven't been sick for a whole day and nausea is very low level. Unprecedented. Still drugged up to the max, but fingers crossed this is the start of something good...

LittleMissSunshine33 · 30/07/2014 13:02

Congrats on seeing your wriggling little bean donkir!

Fingers crossed proudly!

I'm feeling big and hairy today so booked in a hair appointment, going to have a bath and shave! Anyone else become mega hairy?!

freneticfox · 30/07/2014 14:14

Proudly - that gives me hope! I had my first relatively decent night's sleep last night in quite a while, just taking the positives when they come and clinging to them!

My dating scan is a week today, so can't wait... just want to see bean now!

Littlemiss yep I am like a wookie! My nails have also turned super strong and having to file them every few days to stop them looking like fake long talons.

I now have 3 proper maternity bras, quite pretty ones compared to some of the hideous things on the market, she came and sized me in Debenhams and they were on offer, we got £100 of vouchers for our wedding that we cannot find anything to spend as that shop is dire so made a small dent in that!

RowanMumsnet · 30/07/2014 14:43

Hello Februaryers Blimey these threads move fast!

Just wanted to drop a quick reminder about Bumpfest - our one-day all-you-need one-stop-shop for finding out about pregnancy, birth and your baby's first six months. Book before August 3 to get reduced tickets, and even bigger savings if you book in groups of three or more.

The goody bag is worth more than the ticket price (if you use a combo of Early Bird booking and group booking), and you get lunch and drinks and snacks too.

Flowers and thanks

donkir · 30/07/2014 17:05

I am def more hairy. I'm having to do underarms everyday atm I should do legs too but just can't be bothered. Roll on winter when I can hide them!

freneticfox · 30/07/2014 17:30

The only symptom I have at the moment is nausea and constipation (and that's caused by the tablets I'm taking for the sickness). I can't get it out of my head that we'll get bad news at our scan next Weds; anyone else have the same paranoia?

OP posts:
GeekyHybrid · 30/07/2014 17:50

Hope it keeps getting better for you proudly, and that frenetic soon gets to join in. Paranoia about scan quite normal.
Scan went well today, sproglet squirming around like a hyper / fidgety thing. However I've been referred to a consultant cos I also have a uterus full of fibroids. The joy.

On a real downer, got to work and my boss is being well grumpy. Whilst he bothered asking how it went, when I said I was feeling really tired he just said "we're all tired". The heat is getting to everyone and we're having to irrigate like mad but I'm fairly certain that I'm suffering a bit excessively, for instance I haven't spotted any of my colleagues laying on the concrete floor the tool shed just because it's cold on that floor! Yeesh. Saying that he's not as bad of some of the crap others are getting so I'll quit complaining and get on with it!
