Hi,

Tentative post here - got 2 faint BFPs on Sun/Mon (period only due yesterday.
EDD seems to be between Feb 28 - March 1st depending on whether I use standard 28 day cycle or adjust to my 30 day one.
DC2 for me - DS was 8 days late so think I'm more likely to belong in the March club than Feb.

Will do another test in a couple of days to get the elusive dark line so I don't think I'm making it up

Hope someone else joins me soon.

bris I had a day of no symptoms on Friday and begged for more symptoms. Yesterday made up for it. I felt awful. Exhausted and queasy all day. And then I wished for a day like Friday again!!
zyla my cramps have calmed right down which I am really thankful for. I didn't like them.

I hope everyone has an amazing baby growing Sunday.xx

notoasthere · 06/07/2014 10:39

Yeah, sometimes I think I feel ok....then BAM the nausea hits. Ds had me up pretty much from 330 today so I forsee a very early bed for me!

fourmonthstogo · 06/07/2014 10:44

I had achy boobs and cramps when I went to bed last night, which felt so pmt like it was worrying. But apart from v slightly achy boobs this morning I feel fine, but I do feel like I want to take another test to reassure myself!

FoscarC · 06/07/2014 11:28

Just tried to go for a run. Dh didn't want me to as he was worried if jiggle the baby out. But he had no reason to worry. Managed about 100 meters before I had to stop as my boobs were too sore. Went for a lovely walk in the woods instead. And got very lost! But saw a deer which was beautiful.

Mrsw123 · 06/07/2014 13:16

I was feeling super cramps yesterday, but they seem to have calmed down now. Today I'm feeling queasy and quite light headed....Bleurgh! Roll on the summer hols so I can just lay around for 6 weeks!!

A deer, foscar? How lovely! It's rainy and rubbish in essex!

NotAQueef · 06/07/2014 13:52

6w today! Life is passing sooooo slowly at the moment. Stuck in with ds (though he's been given some fireman sam dvds so v happy) and am bored ... Though not bored enough to do anything productive.

My boobs are also v sore still and (tmi) I seem to have permanently erect dark nipples which I vaguely recall from last time, so weird, what's it all about?
I feel like I need my very own spit bucket with the amount of saliva constantly pooling in my mouth. Such a glamourous time Hmm

Hope those feeling sick don't feel too rotten. Had my first close encounter of the vomitting kind whilst brushing my teeth this morning. Thankfully on an empty stomach so nothing to bring up.

Time really does seem to stand still - my 8 week scan seems many, many moons away! Amusing myself by looking at baby names - we only had ds's name and didn't like any others so trying to find another boys name will be problematic!

fourmonthstogo · 06/07/2014 14:19

Notoasthere, it was just the same for us. We're so lucky we had a girl as we had no boys names we could agree on at all. We only had the one girls name we were both happy with too! Who knows what we'll do this time!

Trondheim · 06/07/2014 15:29

Wow thanks for adding me thetraah, very organised!

It's funny isn't it wishing for symptoms then wishing them away again... Ugh.

Littleturkish · 06/07/2014 16:38

Forscar - a deer?? You lucky thing. What a nice way to spend a Sunday. I am itching to go for a run now...if it wasn't for the chronic tiredness!!

four and toast we're having similar name issues...I've told my sister to compile a short list for me as I can't agree on one with DH that we both like!

bri top work on sneaky not drinking! I have a wedding to go to this summer, but as it will hopefully be after the scan I won't have to pretend!

zyla have you spoken to MW about your GTT? Or as you know you're diabetic you don't have to do it?

trond it's a silly want it/hate it balance, isn't it!

mrsw I'm also excited for six weeks of rest...does this make us job twins?!

In true Essex style I have gone to bluewater today and demolished a Byron burger. DD and DH are sleeping and I'm going to start a new book and ignore the work I should be doing!

notoasthere · 06/07/2014 17:45

I have my 30th and a wedding over two consecutive weekends when im 8-9 weeks - I may have to get myself a serious tooth abcess to cover up the not drinking!

Justpickagoddamnname · 06/07/2014 18:28

Sorry, so slow getting back to you! This will be our second. A sibling for ds1 aged 15 months.

woodlandwanderwoman · 06/07/2014 19:01

Hey everyone, hope you've all had lovely weekends. Welcome and congrats to all the new BFPs Smile

Another successful secret non-drinking performance yesterday! I was on an all day / evening hen do and managed not to have anything other than a few sips all day. Had such a fantastic and symptom free time that I actually worried myself! I had to tell one friend before the day and she was an absolute angel, helped to make sure no one else noticed and that the right food / drink was sent in my direction.

However, as I now remember from the first pregnancy I pay for the fun of these things the next day and so have spent the afternoon either asleep, munching shortbread or generally moping lethargically around the house feeling rubbish. I'm actually going to bed really early tonight to try and make the most of feeling good in the mornings.

I feel like a balloon too, new day tomorrow and looking forward to feeling more fresh but I'm sure I will wish my symptoms back all over again!

woodlandwanderwoman · 06/07/2014 19:04

Could someone please add me to the list btw, I can't seem to do it on mobile.

Woodlandwanderwoman - EDD 7 March, DC2. DS1 is 2yo.

little I don't need a gtt as I've had type 1 diabetes since I was 8years old. I'm off to my first joint diabetes/antenatal clinic on we'd at the hospital, so should find out more then :)

ZylaB · 06/07/2014 20:01

On wed, stupid autocorrect

Mrsw123 · 06/07/2014 20:44

Ha ha littleturkish I think we are job twins!! Do you teach big ones or little ones? I'm having nightmares of having to run out of lessons with morning sickness!!

How's everyone's Sunday been?

ZylaB · 06/07/2014 20:52

I teach grown up ones, but got to have a health and safety assessment at work this week, so we'll see whether I stay or have to move :)

Littleturkish · 06/07/2014 21:08

zyla at least you don't have to waste a day doing the test! I hope it goes well- will it impact much on your pregnancy? This is your DC #2, right? My dad is diabetic so I had to do the test with DD but hoping to avoid it this time. How funny that you're a teacher too! What kind of school do you teach in?

mrsw that is too strange- I teach the big ones and the subject with 'all the marking'. How about you?

FoscarC · 06/07/2014 21:49

Sounds like everyone has had a nice Sunday. I feel much better today. Think I suffered so much yesterday because of doing too much on Friday. It's my birthday next Saturday and I have had to lie and say I'm on duty and so can't drink. I'm not sure who believes it as if I was on duty someone would swap with me. But never mind. I'm only going out with family. I'm going away with all my friends for the weekend in a few weeks time to celebrate a few of our birthdays and that'll be far more hard to cover up. Dh will have to learn to drink a lot to help out.

ZylaB · 06/07/2014 22:07

It's my first little :) and yeah it'll have to be very closely monitored and can affect it loads.

I currently teach adults somewhere.. Ahem.. Secure ;)

ohfourfoxache · 07/07/2014 00:42

Hello, may I join you?

I can't actually quite believe I'm posting here, but I got a BFP on Friday. We've "not been careful" for 2.5 years and it's the first time I've had a clear, positive PT (2x "shadows" previously, followed by, well, it's not the time/place for that)

EDD 10 March - #1

Does anyone else feel almost in denial? I can't actually believe it, I keep feeling like I'm going to wake up from a dream and none of it is going to be real. I/we have wanted this for so long, I'm scared that it isn't actually happening in real life iyswim?

Sorry for rambling, tough weekend (away with DH and my parents this weekend, having only found out at 5am Friday morning - pretending to drink 3 night in a row, which has involved collusion with a very helpful proprietor in Lincolnshire, but I'm now exhausted, can't sleep and DH is snoring. It's got to get better than this, right?)

Brisgirl · 07/07/2014 01:55

Sounds like lovely weekends all round. Welcome and hope you get some sleep ohfour
I have an old arm injury and lots of plates and screws in my arm which occasionally flares up and causes excruciating pain....like now. Making me want to be sick and I am desperate to take some ibuprofen or cocodamol but trying hard not to. Might ring GP in the morning though as literally can't move my arm. Also not sure what to do with my migraines now that I can't take my trusty meds. Anyone else struggling with the lack of pain meds?

notoasthere · 07/07/2014 04:45

That sounds awful bris definitely give your gp a call.

I've been up all night with d&v and now ds has decided to get up for the day.....there may be tears before breakfast and I suspect they will be mine!
