Hi,

Tentative post here - got 2 faint BFPs on Sun/Mon (period only due yesterday.
EDD seems to be between Feb 28 - March 1st depending on whether I use standard 28 day cycle or adjust to my 30 day one.
DC2 for me - DS was 8 days late so think I'm more likely to belong in the March club than Feb.

Will do another test in a couple of days to get the elusive dark line so I don't think I'm making it up

Hope someone else joins me soon.

Sending Terry huge hugs x

I don't get it - I'm exhausted, yet I got up for a wee and now can't get back to sleep Hmm

bouncesky · 12/07/2014 08:20

I am so glad I am not the only one waking at 5am everyday! It's crazy! I am so tired but once I'm awake I can't get back to sleep.

FoscarC · 12/07/2014 08:26

Today is my birthday and I have to pretend to drink!! I hope dh is up to the extra booze he'll be consuming. Poor chap!

Are you all waking at 5 with the sunrise? I find it hard to get to sleep at night but can't wake in the morning. I think it's the, on average, 3 wee stops I have during the night that mean I'm always still tired come morning. I'm trying to remember how my sisters were during their pregnancies, but neither of them work so they could probably have naps and things during the day. I'm still generally exhausted. And not yet excited about the baby as it all seems too unreal.

Littleturkish · 12/07/2014 08:32

Managed to go back to sleep but just woke up to a loud "no biting" from next door...nausea not so bad now. Might see how long I can lay here for...

fourmonthstogo · 12/07/2014 08:35

Happy birthday FoscarC, have a great day. Hope you manage to fool everyone!

MGFM · 12/07/2014 10:06

Can I ask people's thoughts on hair dye? There are some reports that it is not good for the little bean. I have really bad roots at the moment and I have booked myself in for highlights at the 7 week point. Thoughts?

dashoflime · 12/07/2014 10:17

I never heard of hairdye being a problem. I dye my hair.

dashoflime · 12/07/2014 10:20

NHS seems to think its OK.

Brummiegirl15 · 12/07/2014 11:11

I mentioned this to my hairdressers when I was TTC and they said its fine, they colour the hair of lots of pregnant women.

I will continue to get my highlights done

Brisgirl · 12/07/2014 11:35

Happy birthday foscar

Glad to hear we're all members of the 5am club - I'm usually know as the lucky one amongst my friends that does not stir till 11am on a Saturday!!

Took another test this morning - just because I have a stack and I'm six weeks today so felt like I needed a little reassurance.
No MS yet but my boobs feel like they're about to snap off! Eek.
Happy weekend all!!

NotAQueef · 12/07/2014 11:36

terry I am so sorry. Take care of yourself x

Have been totally wiped out this past few days hence radio silence from me.
Was woken at 3am (not that i was properly asleep) by DS shouting "mama, there's sick in my bed. I sick"! Clearing that up (and the next lots) was fun. I feel really sick today, not sure if it's just ms or a bug. Either way DS being wiped out has meant a nice lazy day for us all. He puts me to shame at 3.5 at how little he moans when ill compared to me Blush

I am 7 weeks tomorrow and symptoms currently are:
Weird taste in mouth & everything I eat tastes odd
Nausea & lots of gagging (only sick a tiny bit so far)
Massively sore boobs
Windy (lovely)
Super sense of smell
Lots of cm
Tiredness coupled with inability to sleep.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
Happy birthday foscar

Oh no queef your poor ds! I can imagine that turned your stomach a bit - I volunteered to change my chums 3 month old's nappy yesterday - a decision I immediately regretted!

I've been working this morning, nipping home quickly for lunch then another session this afternoon. I'm knackered already though - and no chance of a nap, wah!

ZebraZeebra · 12/07/2014 15:59

Happy birthday Foscar

DS decided last night we should only sleep for two hours. I got really angry with him around 2am and shouted and cried and now feel like total shit about it. Bad mother :( I think something developmental is going on because he could fall asleep but would wake up five minutes later. This went on from 9pm until 4am. Currently freaking out about what a crap parent I am and how am I going to handle two?

MooMaid · 12/07/2014 19:22

Hi all, can I join in? Due 5th March so currently 6+2. It's our first and so unsure of everything!

Symptoms so far:
Morning sickness (nausea) every flipping day. Some worse than others
Tiredness - naps required almost every day
Lots of CM
Last night I was COVERED in sweat, like literally thought I'd had a shower in my bed!!
Tender boobs

I keep stressing about miscarriage and trying to rationalise it but sometimes I wake up with a knot in my stomach so looking to chat to other people who can help me realise we're all having the same fears!

notoasthere · 12/07/2014 19:39

zebra you're not a bad mum - I think our two are similar ages and it is so difficult to deal with them when they are out of sorts when you feel so out of it too

moomaid welcome to the group! I think we all worry about mc - any let up in symptoms and I start to panic....it doesn't go away till you have that 12 week scan I'm afraid! And then you just find something else to worry about!

ZebraZeebra · 12/07/2014 20:07

Welcome moomaid! I think we all do definitely worry about a mc - I actually did the non-digital Clearblue test left in the packet yesterday just to check I was still pregnant. I'd had an early miscarriage the month before so just need to check :) I'm telling myself this is totally normal.

Notoasthere I think they are quite similar in age - 20 months? I'm starting to get a taste of difficult toddler ways and it's completely blindsided me!

notoasthere · 12/07/2014 20:18

DS is just turning 20 months - and yes, the toddler mischief streak is well and truly coming out now. Completely wonderful in some ways, infuriating in others!

CrispsAndChoc · 12/07/2014 20:27

Hi everyone, joining in at 5 weeks. This is my first after one miscarriage so I not really sure what to do! I've contacted gp but haven't seen anyone yet. I've been told today that I can self refer at the hospital so will do that Monday. I had a dreadful headache and nausea today so have been googling remedies-any tried and tested ideas will be much appreciated! Congratulations to everyone!
