Hi,

Tentative post here - got 2 faint BFPs on Sun/Mon (period only due yesterday.
EDD seems to be between Feb 28 - March 1st depending on whether I use standard 28 day cycle or adjust to my 30 day one.
DC2 for me - DS was 8 days late so think I'm more likely to belong in the March club than Feb.

Will do another test in a couple of days to get the elusive dark line so I don't think I'm making it up

Hope someone else joins me soon.

Massively insensitive. My MS hasn't been as bad this time round- my mum had the same experience with her second pregnancy. Though this time, I don't have a huge evil cyst trying to take over my womb- so no wonder I feel better!

ZebraZeebra · 11/07/2014 17:20

Hi can I join please?

About five weeks I think, have done about 20 tests because of an early miscarriage last month. This will be DC2 - have DS who is 20 months. Starting to feel slightly sick in the evening but just bloated and cramping so far. Not much to report. Haven't even been to the GP yet - feel a bit ambivalent about going because I had an awful experience with the community midwives last time though I've since changed GPs so hopefully it'll be bette this time.

ZebraZeebra · 11/07/2014 17:22

Oh forgot due date - 13 march according to the MN calculator.

PickledPorcupine · 11/07/2014 19:02

Welcome new joiners!

I have booked my gp appointment for the 21st when I'll be just short of 6 weeks. Is that normal timing? Wasn't really sure if I should have it sooner, couldn't think of any reason to though.

notoasthere · 11/07/2014 19:16

Hello to the new faces!

Why on earth can't you eat houmous? It's only chickpeas and garlic.....worst that will happen is that you will have tremendous wind!

My ds is about 13kg and still needs carried/picked up a lot - I do try and lift sensibly when possible!

We had a beautiful day of sunshine here which meant a fab playdate with the paddling pool out and lots of wee toddler bums running free in the garden!

Littleturkish · 11/07/2014 19:20

Welcome Zeb

6 weeks will be fine- I'm off to see MW at 8 weeks for booking bloods.

MGFM · 11/07/2014 19:22

I have appointment with GP at 7 weeks. I have booked a private early scan at 8 weeks as off to Mexico for 3 weeks a week later and want to go with peace of mind.

M27J5M · 11/07/2014 19:39

I didn't have to see my gp, everything's changed and I had to contact midwife directly who gave me an app at 8weeks then gave me a date for my 1st scan

Littleturkish · 11/07/2014 19:51

Snap m27

TerrysNo2 · 11/07/2014 20:06

hi guys, had surgery today and they removed the pregnancy and left tube. I'm a bit knackered and sore but I'll be OK. I'm a sad about the pregnancy but I also have 2 amazing children and if that's my lot in life then I am still wonderfully lucky.

Good luck to you all!! xxx

notoasthere · 11/07/2014 20:08

So sorry terry lots of love to you

FoscarC · 11/07/2014 20:20

terry I am so very very sorry that you had to go through all this. I hope you start to feel better soon. Sending you lots of hugs.

M27J5M · 11/07/2014 20:35

Sorry to hear that terry! Big hugs

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 11/07/2014 20:51

Take care of yourself Terry. That's a big thing to go through x

fourmonthstogo · 11/07/2014 21:16

terrys thank you for letting us know. Take care of yourself.

fourmonthstogo · 11/07/2014 21:27

As for the food list, sorry but I think that list is a bit over the top. Hummus?! You can find something to support or argue against most things if you look hard enough - last time I was pleased to find an article saying I could eat medium rare steak and smoked salmon. As for caffeine, I've cut down but am still having a cup of proper tea and a diet coke most days. I refuse to wind myself up with stress and worry where I can avoid it. And although it may well make me a mumsnet outcast, I may even have a glass of wine every now and then particularly when I get past this trimester. There are so many do' s and don'ts - not just about food but everything. A friend of mine was told recently she shouldn't be riding her bike- what rot! Fortunately her midwife reassured her that she is pregnant not broken.
Right, rant over. Have lovely weekends everyone!

MGFM · 11/07/2014 21:48

fourmonthstogo I agree. I don't want to wrap myself up in cotton wool!

Rainbow555 · 11/07/2014 22:00

Good to hear that the guidelines are not so strict in the uk and perhaps ther is some flexibility in the list I have!! I thought a lot if it seemed crazy tbh and never realised it was so complicated! NZ does have one of the highest rates of campy and salmonella so I think that is why the no raw eggs and hummus (tahini has been linked with the growth of both) but I have not had an issue with either up to this point so seems a little over the top to start worrying now!!

Hugs terry look after yourself!

Thanks foscar will take a look at the books. Had a much better sleep so hoping I don't feel quite so wrecked today! Happy weekend everyone!

FoscarC · 11/07/2014 22:08

fourmonths I agree re food. I am using them as guidelines but just trying to be sensible. And after this trimester I'll have the odd glass of wine. As long as I stop feeling sick at the smell of it.

fourmonthstogo · 11/07/2014 22:27

I think they are more relaxed in France from what I could tell at a wedding I went to, all the pregnant women were merrily tucking into the cured meats and oozy cheese whilst I looked on enviously! Well the three other pregnant women anyway! Interesting to hear rainbow about the reasons behind the nz more stringent food list.

PickledPorcupine · 11/07/2014 22:35

Big hugs terrys xx

PickledPorcupine · 12/07/2014 05:15

I have woken up with painful boobs. I thought I had painful boobs yesterday, well it turns out I didn't, these are what painful boobs feel like, ouch!!

I'm now wondering what tomorrow's will feel like...

Littleturkish · 12/07/2014 05:39

Take care of yourself terry

Waking at five each day sucks. Feel so sick and cross.

PickledPorcupine · 12/07/2014 06:04

Fergie11 · 12/07/2014 06:23
