Hi,

Tentative post here - got 2 faint BFPs on Sun/Mon (period only due yesterday.
EDD seems to be between Feb 28 - March 1st depending on whether I use standard 28 day cycle or adjust to my 30 day one.
DC2 for me - DS was 8 days late so think I'm more likely to belong in the March club than Feb.

Will do another test in a couple of days to get the elusive dark line so I don't think I'm making it up

Hope someone else joins me soon.

Hoping I am not jumping in too soon!!!
I got a faint BFP tonight at 11dpo. Tesco test. Testing again in the morning and again with a clearblue the following morning if faint lines keep appaearing.
Due 23rd March if I am a definite positive. 1st cycle of trying for DC2. I have a DS aged 2 and a half.
Boobs are more sensitive, unbelievably tired and a bit sickly but more dizziness.

pinkandstripey · 08/07/2014 22:16

That's sounds amazing Turkish :)

I've had a few meltdowns over last couple of days, and I'm so grumpy :( poor DP is taking the brunt of it, but am losing patience with ds too, he wouldn't nap today, I put him in his cot for a few minutes and closed the door and had a good cry on my bed. :*( not sure how to cope with my moods wings, can't do this for the next 7 months :(

Welcome more newbies x

fizzyrubbish · 09/07/2014 01:51

Hello Ladies, hope you are all well Smile

Had a faint BFP on Wednesday evening using First Response, but wasn't clear if it was an evap line. Did one in the small hours of the morning (as you do) and there was a definite 2nd pink line.

Did the ClearBlue digital on Thursday and it came up with 1-2 weeks, although AF wasn't due until Monday, just gone.

Estimating my due date as being 23 March.

I have 4 girls already, aged 10, 4,3 and about to hit 2 in August, busy times Blush

Feeling really nervous about this pregnancy as it needs to be my last baby, just hit 40 and had a missed miscarriage quite late on last year, where the baby died at 10 +6.

Wishing you all lots of luck for safe, happy and successful pregnancies. Not really feeling anything yet aside from a bit achy in the ovaries, but after 5 bouts of morning sickness, happy to give that a miss this time round if possible.

PickledPorcupine · 09/07/2014 05:15

Good morning everyone.

Anyone want to share their symptoms?

Mine are:
Boobs are really painful.
I feel sick but nothing's coming of it.
Constant headachy feel but not really bad enough for painkillers, just annoying.
Keep waking up through the night.
Very occasional light cramping.

And a few that might be nothing to do with it:
Big spot on my chin.
Mouth ulcers.

ZylaB · 09/07/2014 06:38

Hey, my symptoms..

I'm shattered, nearly all the time
Feel really sick in the mornings, but nothing happened about it yet
Keep getting low blood sugars and having hypos (according to my diabetic nurse this is a normal symptom for type 1 diabetics)

Off to the hospital for my first diabetic/obs appointment

ZylaB · 09/07/2014 06:38

Oh, forgot my boobs, which ache and have sore nipples! How could I forget those lol

notoasthere · 09/07/2014 06:55

Hi terry and junk

My symptoms include

nausea
extreme tiredness
sore boobs
bloating
insomnia
greasy hair (yuck)

5 weeks today!

TerrysNo2 · 09/07/2014 07:09

no symptoms for me, just cramps low down. Did another cb digi this morning and it said 2-3 weeks still (was hoping yesterday was just weak wee and it would say 3+ today) and that leaves me absolutely stumped. Apparently I conceived 10 days after DTD which doesn't add up so I'm a little worried. Can't wait for my EPU appointment to figure out what's going on!

madasacatter · 09/07/2014 07:15

Morning ladies,

I've just been woken up by our dog 'crying' for some attention, he's not settling into the new house very well at all :(

my symptoms include

multiple meltdowns
sore boobs
having to go to the toilet in the night
sickness that comes and goes in waves
and lots of mood swings

My OH thinks I'm a complete crazy atm, and tbh, with the stress of moving house and finding that half of the house needs repairs (washing machine is broken!), I think I am going crazy

pink I'm living on the estate behind the train station

off to the docs now as when I rang for an appt they couldn't get me in until 5th August!

zyla good luck with your appt

fizzy welcome, I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months

notoasthere · 09/07/2014 07:17

terry the cb digis aren't reliable in telling you when you conceived at all so don't worry too much about not seeing a 3+

TerrysNo2 · 09/07/2014 08:16

notoast that's exactly what I'd tell anyone else who wrote that Grin but I can't help worrying!

Shouldn't be for much longer though, got an EPU appointment tomorrow morning so fingers crossed!

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 09/07/2014 09:00

Hi All. Very nervously edging my way in here as, after trying for over a year, and a MC in Feb, I seem to be getting liney tests and sore boobs, plus DS keeps piking me in the stomach and saying there's a baby in Mummy's tummy (the reason I tested in the first place). All being well I'd be due somewhere around the 20th March I think.

Trying not to get too excited yet, but have a little shiver of joy running underneath everything else

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 09/07/2014 09:02

Oops - missed the symptoms bit. I'm about 4 weeks atm - very swollen, achey boobs, and I'm leaking milk again after it just drying up. I was majorly rageful last week, this week I seem to be a tiny bit weepy. I'm also very very hungry. That's about it for now. I'd actually welcome some nausea as it would be a confirmation for me.

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 09/07/2014 09:08

Nope. I tell a lie. I am massively excited and also very fearful - partly that it might end in MC again, partly that, if it doesn't, I'll have a birth experience like I did with DS, though I'm doing everything in my power to avoid that (planning a HBAC with an IM)

Trondheim · 09/07/2014 09:09

Good luck to everyone who's worried their beans won't stick. I hope this is the one for you.

Is anyone else still breastfeeding? My boobs aren't sore I wonder if that's why.

My piss tested positive for glucose Hmm got to go and have it done again.

notoasthere · 09/07/2014 09:27

eatscake congrats, if you aren't already in this group I highly recommend it www.facebook.com/groups/homebirthchat

Brisgirl · 09/07/2014 12:35

Afternoon all, welcome to all the newbies..

I think I'm 5+4 now and my symptoms so far -

  • massive, super sensitive boobs
  • no sickness in the morning but very light waves of nausea later in the day
  • i am ALWAYS hungry, literally going to be the size of a house if I keep this up - is that a symtom??? :)

I'm very slowly starting to relax and feel a bit more excited although still struggling a bit not to be anxious.

ohfourfoxache · 09/07/2014 12:56

Well according to the pregnancy app I downloaded yesterday, I'm 5+1.....

Symptoms are
-cramping (not horrific, similar to what I think may have been ovulation pain)
-waves of nausea with nothing coming of it
-decreased appetite - I'm forcing myself to eat healthily!
-bloated
-my boobs feel massive. I mean, huge. I'm a 34ff, my bras fit but they are sore by the end of the day and they keep getting in the fucking way. Thankfully not particularly sensitive.

Pickled that's interesting - I've also got a mahoosive spot on my chin! Grin

I'm considering going for a private early pregnancy scan in the next couple of weeks or so - just to check that all is as it should be. DH and I can't quite decide. I spent many, many years working in infertility and I seem to have a slight obsession in making sure things are ok.....Hmm. Any thoughts?

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 09/07/2014 13:09

Thank you - I think I might be a member of that already, unless I unjoined after the MC

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 09/07/2014 13:11

ohfour - not sure it's worth the money, unless you have heaps extra to spare. Unless you have worrying symptoms (spotting etc) then you have to assume that all is well really, after all, you can't scan every day, can you? I don't know, maybe I'm just a bit more fatalistic these days

notoasthere · 09/07/2014 13:19

I'm having an early scan - because we had one with ds as I couldn't quite believe there was a baby in there, and I'm much the same this time!

A lady tripped over and nearly fell on top of me on the bus today, thankfully I managed to grab and block her before she landed on my stomach!

DS decided to do a poonami out the front and back of his nappy as we were trying to leave this morning so that helped my ms and time keeping no end!!

ApplebyMennym · 09/07/2014 13:35

Hi everyone just got my bfp after 11 months of trying for number three! Doesn't feel real yet. I lost a baby between babies 1 and 2 who are now 9 and 2, that thought has been in the back of my mind since I tested.

No idea how far gone I am, I have been using a fertility tracker app which says my average cycle is 46 days, based on tracking since February. However when I put this info into a due date calendar it says we would have conceived around the 26th June, due date about 19th March. I'm pretty sure we only had sex once last month though, which was on the 9th. If I use a calendar that uses conception date, that puts my edd at 3rd March, making me 6 weeks already. So confusing!

Congratulations and good luck to everyone!

ohfourfoxache · 09/07/2014 13:44

I think I'm just so acutely aware of all the things that could go wrong that I'm just panicking. I can honestly say that I'm not excited, I'm just terrified that something will go wrong Sad Sadly I've seen so many that, well, you know what I mean.

But you're right eatscake - even scanning everyday doesn't guarantee anything Sad

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 09/07/2014 13:56

ohfour - I hear you. Lots of mums round here and keep hearing about things going wrong - it sends you paranoid. Thing is, though, that worrying is counter-productive as stress is such a bad thing for you and baby. I worried a lot when I was pg in Feb and whilst I do not think the stress caused the MC, I am sure that it all gave me the perspective to just enjoy being pregnant right now, because you don't know what tomorrow may bring, so best to just focus on what is right - you're pregnant. Yay! That's a massive and lifechanging, wonderful thing. Congratulations.

x

fizzyrubbish · 09/07/2014 14:45

Symptom watch: tiredness, I want to spend the next 8 weeks sleeping!

Plus two huge lumpy pebble zits brewing under the skin in my chin area which are probably going to take ages to come to a head. Bah.

A bit weepy - everything is making me cry or alternatively anxious. Bit of a wreck all in all, but otherwise grand!

If the morning sickness kicks in, I'll turn into a Victorian melodramatic heroine, be warned. Grin

Wondering whether or not I can avoid the whole booking in malarky until after the 12 week scan? After last time I can't face all of that only to find out that I need to go through m/c management. It's only when I've seen the scan at 12 weeks will I be reassured. If I'd gone to EPU at 7/8 weeks last time it would have shown up that everything was fine.
