Thinking of you today as well keepon

KeepOnPloddingOn · 25/06/2014 10:32

madame so sorry to hear your sad news. Fingers x news is better for you in the the 2 weeks. Things can change :)

Thanks for all the well wishes.

KeepOnPloddingOn · 25/06/2014 10:33

Madame- like you we never anticipated anything being 'wrong' it is a shocker.

Loobyloo893 · 25/06/2014 10:51

Oh Madame. So sorry to hear that. Thinking of you. Don't ever feel like you can't say something on here. That's what we are here for Thanks

ViviPru · 25/06/2014 11:00

Feels a little inappropriate sharing in light of recent difficult news for some January mums-to-be, but I've just had the letter from the hospital confirming my combined test results are classified as low-risk. It's only now the huge weight has lifted that I realised just how much anxiety I had (and not doubt all of us have) been carrying around about it, buried within.

I really really hope with every fibre of my being that each one of us experiences this feeling of relief and positivity soon Thanks

Camsie30 · 25/06/2014 11:13

Oh Madamoiselle I'm heartbroken for you, it really is the last thing you think about happening. Please be kind to yourself and you never know, some positive news could be on the horizon. As the others have said, what is so lovely about this group is that we are all supporting each other through this nerve wracking time, good and bad x

KeepOnPloddingOn · 25/06/2014 11:14

That's fab vivi! As a pp said: this post is for all of us. It's good to hear the positive stuff too. Life isn't always a bed of roses - but doesn't mean others can't enjoy their roses (sorry for diabolical analogy, hahaha) wannabe wise words from a 26 yr old. Haha. Hope everyone else is good today?

ViviPru · 25/06/2014 11:27

Thanks KeepOn. You'll be feeling this way soon and enjoying your roses too Smile

Minibagel · 25/06/2014 11:34

Good news about the prulet :)

rumisyum · 25/06/2014 11:35

Viv, that's excellent news & I'm really pleased for you & how relieved you must feel.

Mademoiselle I am so very sorry. What awful news. Hearing something like that would be my very worst nightmare so I can only imagine how tough this must be for you. I hope you & your DH are being kind to each other & you have lots of support around you at the moment. Thinking of you lots over the next 2 weeks & keeping everything crossed for a happier result then despite the odds.

keepon I'm thinking of you too & hoping your CVS can be expedited. You really didn't do anything wrong to cause this - even tho the chance of having a baby with a chromosomal abnormality is higher as you get older, more babies with these issues are born to younger women just because younger women have more babies. If that makes any sense? But like the others have said, the odds are on your side at this point.

Huge un-MN-ly hugs for the whole thread today feel in order, no? Thanks Brew Cake

MademoiselleG · 25/06/2014 11:48

Thank you all for your kind words. I nearly burst into tears reading them on the train! I'm off to work this afternoon...could be interesting.

And Vivi: great news! This thread needs at least 10 times the amount if good news to 'balance' the bad ones (for want of a better analogy...) so definitely keep them coming!!ThanksThanks

ViviPru · 25/06/2014 11:51

Thanks all Smile and extra slice of Cake for Mademoiselle

Loobyloo893 · 25/06/2014 12:05

That's great news viviSmile
So I'm off to hospital with DS (2yrs) this afternoon for an X-ray. He's been limping for a few days with no obvious reason, phoned health visitor this morning who made us an appointment with doc. Saw doc who couldn't find anything so referred us for X-ray. All within an hour. Impressed how quickly they are dealing with it. So the worry definitely doesn't stop once they are born Smile

Dec2013mummy · 25/06/2014 12:31

Afternoon all. I'm so sorry to hear the bad scan news. I really do hope you both get some better news soon. I have my scan first thing tomorrow and I'm absolutely cacking it! It makes you realise how previous these little buddies really are already. Big hugs and love to all :)

mummyk8 · 25/06/2014 12:37

Lovely news vivi

Dec2013mummy I'm feeling the same. Dreadfully nervous. My scan is also tomorrow but not until 2.40 so tomorrow morning is going to drag.

helloelo · 25/06/2014 12:43

Hello everyone, newbee here :)

I've been reading since thread 1 not wanting to jinx it but I'm giving up restraining myself, too worried right now.

Finally got a BFP on C10 with PCOS after 3 round of Clomid not working... we had decided to give up for a couple of month before doing more "active" infertility treatment... so yeah!
I'm 33, don't live in the UK, size 18 (huuuuuuge here), thinking about home birth (craaaaaaaazy here). Oh, and DP just proposed, we're getting married in September - not sure what got into him but I'm not complaining.

I'm 11+2 today. I've been bleeding on and off since 7+5 and as I'm just back home after a long holiday abroad, I've booked an appt with my OBGYN for later today so that I can get a reassurance scan. We did see heart + movements at 7+5 and 9+3 but I've not "felt" pg for the last 2 days so I'm going insane. Funny how you can hate ms /fainting/ weird taste in mouth for xx weeks then suddenly when it gets better you get worried ?

Anyway, this January Club has already made me cry (a lot - my thoughts are with the ones who had to jump off the wagon) and laughed (a lot - esp. with the ones on loo roll watch, hope it's getting better by now!), I wish the nicest easiest pg to all of you girls.

Minibagel · 25/06/2014 12:55

Welcome helloelo we are due on the same day, yay! It sounds like you are in good hands. Did the obgyn suggest a reason for the on/off bleed? Hopefully your next appointment will reassure you. Good for you for planning the birth you want, I hope there is lots of home support for those parents that opt for that even if it isnt popular?

I wonder how many other lurkers are waiting to join in? Say hi!

helloelo · 25/06/2014 13:41

Ah, thanks minibagel I've been closely following you as I already noticed we had the same DD. When's your 1st scan ?

Docs so far have said I have a small and stable haematoma that I shouldn't be worrying about. I'm staying positive. I mean insane. I mean positive!
Not much support for home birth here. Basically, I live in a big city and there's only one mw that does them. She sooo zen and nice and lovely thank god! But hospital is 5min away so not worried.

GO on lurkers :) give it a go, it's so nice to participate!

ViviPru · 25/06/2014 13:45

Dec i love "buddies"!

Hi helloelo wow lurking from the start, that's dedication to the cause. it's certainly a rollercoaster round these parts. Glad you've joined and congratulations - sounds like a very exciting time for you what with engagement too!

sleepisforthetired · 25/06/2014 14:03

mummyk8 and Dec2013mummy am also tomorrow, and shitting it to be honest. Glad its relatively early so at least I will only have tonight and a few hours tomorrow to stress out!

helloelo hi :) its lovely here

Mademoiselle hope you have support whilst you endure the wait. thinking of you xx

rumisyum · 25/06/2014 14:18

Hi helloelo. I love your name. Smile I should probably change mine before someone alerts social services. (I've not been drinking at all, honest...)

Had a work pregnancy adjustments review thing just now that was about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Eh. I'm off to go scout more dreamy elasticated waistband maternity trousers. I think someone might have to pry these from my sweaty post-partum hands - I may never want to wear normal waistbands again!

Good luck those of you with scans tomorrow! Mine is in one week - eeek!

11 weeks today Smile

ViviPru · 25/06/2014 14:29

rumisyum I always read your name in my head as "Rumy's Mum" anyway Confused

Ah delicious daytime sleep for me and ds1 just now. Wish I could do that every day!

helloelo I read your name as hello E.L.O followed by the first few bars of Mr Blue Sky. I am normally v normal.

Elastic for the win rum I would love to say I loved putting my preggo clothes in the loft but I did not. I am basically in denial at the moment but I'm on day 3 of my m+p maternity yoga trousers.
