onion that's so scary! Presumably all these things happen to prepare us for he number of heart attacks our kids will give us throughout their lives!

mum2kiss · 05/06/2014 17:49

gun there's no "might" about it! You're 100% crazy!

Loulou888 · 05/06/2014 18:08

Lol have to agree with mum gun! Does smell better than artificial baby milk poo tho!

What a scare onion glad all is okay the bigger the babies get the more pronounced the movement will be

YellowWellies · 05/06/2014 18:11

My pals DS was FF - from day one his poos smelt like DH's!!! BF poos are a gentle introduction - they smell like marmite / yeasty.

Aaahh! I used to love DD's BF poo, when we moved to formula & solids it was a shock! They smelt like popcorn IMO.
Good news for all the scans today. Any move on EDD? I moved from LMP date of 21st Oct to 13th Oct.

fedupofrainydays · 05/06/2014 19:21

Bf poos are so harmless! I think they smell a bit like chicken soup!!
Formula poo is mega stinky and then solids, is just like adult poo! Gross! My niece (almost one) did the rankest fish finger poo the other day and I was gagging left right and centre.

Having a probably stupid panic today as I had a coffee this morning. Normally I ask for single shot but forgot this morning and sure i haven't felt baby today. Do I need a fish slap?!

porcito · 05/06/2014 19:21

congrats onion, excited and yellow! I don't know how I'm going to manage with poos. Even the thought wants to make me vom everywhere. That'll have to change!

I still have to wait another 6 hours for mine AARGH. I'm going mad. If ONE more person comes and asks me if I know what it is yet, I'm going to attack them. I want to say "I'm more concerned that it's growing properly you bunch of vulture like hags", but for now, a polite smile and 'hopefully tonight' will have to do. Not hiding the nerves very well as you can see!

YellowWellies · 05/06/2014 19:48

Porcito I can handle shit. Quite often I've literally handled it as he always took nappy changes as a chance to squirt Mum Envy . Its snot that is my kryptonite. Mindst having said that I wouldn't mind a bit less time dealing with other creatures excrement. We've got a pedigree border terrier bitch and want to breed her. DH suggested how about this year. I confessed that with two babies in nappies, an elderly cat, a dog to pick up after - a litter of pups would push me over the edge into a life just revolving round shit Confused ! We're going to pup her next autumn when this one is sitting but not walking and not yet a possessed toddler and J might be toilet trained (maybe is 2 and 3\4 too early for a boy?). I found 9-15 months a really easy age. Hope it is again Hmm

Puppies?! Never in a million years lol! Good luck with that yellow! I've had a couple of dogs in my life and used to pick up their shit. Since having Dd the very thought of.picking up dog shit bewilders me! Maybe I've seen so much shit the last 5 years that I just couldn't bear getting a dog that I had to clean up after as well! Wait...and I'm about to have a baby and add to the shit cleaning chronicles!

All you poo loving ladies have lost the plot! Popcorn smelling poo?! Chicken soup?! You all have been given terrible food over the years!

mum2kiss · 05/06/2014 20:04

Some how I've drifted Into travel system hell! I just don't know what to get or how much to spend. Do I go pricey even though I know I won't be having more babies and then sell it on? Or do I just get cheap because it's only for one use? ! I just don't know!

ExcitedCJ · 05/06/2014 20:07

Mum2 :) I cried so much when I had the first non BF poo. I found giving up BFing a real personal trial & that was just another slap in the face. I remember sitting saying through big blubbery tears, "oh, it just doesn't smell like my popcorn poos any more!" I think DH was just bewildered and exited the room quickly!

YellowWellies · 05/06/2014 20:20

Mum2 we only really used the travel system for the first four months then he went straight into the pushchair bit and loved it so much more. TBH we're not bothering with one this time. DHs parents bought it for us but wah £550 for 4 months use! The pram bit of the travel system was used twice - reflux babies hate being flat or scrunched in a car seat. We didn't tell the in laws as the pram bit cost £150. £75 a use Shock The resale value won't be great - maybe £150 for the lot if we're lucky? Sad It really depends how much you drive and if your baby has reflux I'd say.

Mum2 it is much of a muchness really. You will loose the same value pretty much whichever way you go. If I had money I would do plush but maternity pay would not allow.

sazzlehopes · 05/06/2014 20:51

Pinky I like the look of these easy swaddle things. Ds was not a great sleeper so I'd be happy to invest in something easy like this!

sazzlehopes · 05/06/2014 20:52

Congrats everyone on good scans today - I agree these next 20 weeks are going to zoom by!

mrsb87 · 05/06/2014 20:57

Hmmmm poo! Can't wait for that! Hehe.

So much pain today, I'm almost 24wks and my feet and ankles have been swelling terribly! My job involves being on my feet 95% of the time and full days are starting to take their toll. Has anyone else started to get this?

sazzlehopes · 05/06/2014 21:06

Yellow every toddler is different but 2 and 3/4 is not a major ask. Our boy was 2 and 1/4 but I think they do as they please about potty training!

binkybunny · 05/06/2014 21:13

Mrsb I keep getting really hot feet and hands that are making them swell up even when I'm sitting down. It's so strange being cold everywhere but having burning hot hands!

mum2kiss · 05/06/2014 21:32

When I say travel system I really Mean pushchair with compatible car seat. If I can get one with the carry cot I will only because I intend to use it as a moses basket in the living room as well as on the chassis...my Dd had reflux and a lie flat pushchair didn't make a difference with her...

mum2kiss · 05/06/2014 21:34

Also I got the bugaboo bee for Dd and resold it for about £60 less than I paid for it 18 months later on ebay!

mrsb87 · 05/06/2014 21:42

I'm finding even my shoes are starting to get really tight and cutting in. Tried some on at work today and I'm always a size 5, even a size 6 was uncomfortably tight Sad

fedupofrainydays · 05/06/2014 21:57

yellow I'm in the midst of potty training my ds now. He's 2.5. It's not been easy / done yet bit wanted him out of nappies at least a month or two before baby arrives. Otherwise would have waited til he's nearer 3.

It's our wedding anniversary today - 4 years! Just had a delicious Chinese then tomorrow we have a night off at a spa hotel. Hurrah!!

YellowWellies · 05/06/2014 22:09

Fed up sazzle I'll sooooo be picking your brains this time next year!

OP posts:
mrsb87 · 05/06/2014 22:22

Ooh congrats fedup! Hope you have a lovely time x

mum2kiss · 05/06/2014 22:24

How are you all coping with baby brain? Today I completely forgot a colleagues name! I've known her for 5 years even though we don't work on the same team...I also keep calling dp dave! His name is not dave!
