Glad it's not just me with annoying in laws!! Just feel all this expectation which I know is stupid cos people just care!

On the positive side I've had a small show this morning (really just pinky brown discharge) but at least it's something!! I am getting some crampy feelings too... Just need them to establish now.

Loopy...I really hope things change for you and cervix starts to play ball!!

Spirael... Wow...83 weeks??!! Grin bet you're hoping you don't go that long this time :)

Xxx

Spirael · 16/05/2014 12:45

Doh, I have apparently lost the ability to type coherently. I wonder if that is a symptom! Grin

moobaloo · 16/05/2014 13:43

Good luck loopy! Sending speedy labour vibes xxx

Well done/good luck/welcome everyone else... Can't seem to name check, my brain is fried.

Was just sitting out in the sun and suddenly felt really lightheaded and like I was about to throw up and awful, came round to the shady side and had a glass of water and a banana and now feel a bit less sick but still shaky and fuzzy and weird. Ugh. I hadn't been out long and had been swigging from a bottle of water moments before feeling ill so don't think I was dehydrated or anything. Weird.

Xxx good vibes to all

dhamm22 · 16/05/2014 15:53

Good lucky loopy!!!

randdom · 16/05/2014 16:11

38 weeks today!

Out of the people who are left I was just wondering who knows what they are having and who doesn't? I am starting to go crazy not knowing now!!

moobaloo · 16/05/2014 16:44

Randdom - I'm expecting a boy Smile was far too nosy not to find out! Must be exciting having it as a surprise but I'd definitely be bursting to find out by now too! Any inkling?

randdom · 16/05/2014 16:50

I have thought boy throughout but now I genuinely don't know!

bushprincess · 16/05/2014 17:51

hey all! Just checking in after another lovely day on the beach... definately the way to spend the wait!!

loopy sending loads of swift labour vibes in your direction - hope cervix gets with the program sharpish!

choppa exciting about the show fingers crossed things kick on from here!

moo do make sure you get plenty of water and maybe even some rehydration salts, does sound like it could be mild dehydration/heat stroke so be careful! xx

random still waiting here and expecting a boy, but a friend in Zim who had hers by c-section today had been expecting a boy too.... but its a girl! (sure the mistake is normally the other way round) so we've had to come up with an emergency girls name list just in case!!

Hope the snows eased up dhamn - crazy weather for you!

will check in later, toodle pip for now

rebeccax2 · 16/05/2014 18:17

Lots and lots of downward pressure today. Tell me this is a good sign? :-)

MoominAndMiniMoom · 16/05/2014 18:54

Hi dhamn lucky you with snow! It's so hot here! I had my little girl 5 weeks ago.

How has it been 5 weeks? She's so alert and happy and lifting her head and trying her hardest to roll onto her tummy! She's made it onto her side so far, and then cries until I either roll her back or help her the rest of the way onto her tummy Grin

So much good news on the thread! Congrats new mummies and good luck those being induced currently/this weekend!

Well my last essay has been submitted and I've officially finished second year. Managed to hand every essay in on or before the deadline - I'm dead chuffed but have no idea how I did it!

ohdearitshappeningtome · 16/05/2014 19:39

Well done moomin ThanksWine

dhamm22 · 16/05/2014 20:27

random im expecting a boy! I waited a week after the ultrasound to find out what I was having and almost lost my mind! My babies father is currently 2 hours away.. so I had my mom go to the ultrasound and closed my eyes.. they printed the pic with the gender onit and put it in an envelope with her.. then had to wait till the weekend to go see my love andwe opened it together. It was the longest week ever!! (Besides right now) I cant imagine waiting the whole time to find out.. you are very strong!! The wierdest part now tho is that even before I found out I always dreamt and imagined aboy up until about a week ago I started picturing a girl in my dreams!! So wierd.. ive had 5 ultra sounds and they all showed him as a boy so I believe he is.. but I bet your original instinct is what you will have.!

Ok super long story over!! Goin out in the cold for some fresh air! I hope someone has a baby today!!! goodvibes

Rigbyroo · 16/05/2014 20:29

JodeyP we are c-section buddies! I feel the same as you, a little sad about not having the natural birth I dreamed of but after last time it's definitely the best option x

bushprincess · 16/05/2014 21:41

hope it is a good sign jodieP!

eggsnbeans · 16/05/2014 23:05

Wow what an awesome birth Bezza! And love the name Grin

Any news from loopy yet?
Has your show turned into labour yet Choppa?

Wow 5 weeks is really early to be starting to roll moomin, she must be a very active wee girl! She'll probably be walking and causing you endless trouble by 10months! And great news on finishing 2nd year. Bloody awesome feeling Smile Do you have to do any uni work over the holidays or can you now relax and enjoy Callie?

Hi Dham snow in May! Crikey that's crazy!

No news here, which is good as I still seem to have rotavirus Blush and would really like that to bugger off before I go into labour! Haven't got a MW appointment for this week either, she was supossed to phone me Thursday morning to see how things were going but never heard anything. I'm not too worried as my BP has always been low and other than been a bit laid out by the rotavirus, everything is fine! I was 8 days over with DD so not too surprised really (would be a different story if she'd come at 38 weeks though!) However this morning we discovered one of our vehicles wouldn't start and the other was sounding distinctly unhealthy so knowing my luck it'll all be on soon and we won't be able to get anywhere. Eeeek! I REALLY do not want a homebirth!

Choppa · 17/05/2014 00:09

Hey all

Think I am contracting here!!! Still erratic and manageable but I'm pretty sure I'm in early labour. I can't lie down so have sent DH to bed while I'm here on all 4s trying to get this thing established!

Really hope we have a baby today and this isn't a false alarm!!!

MrsFooCough · 17/05/2014 01:16

Waheyyy choppa I'm crossing all my fingers for you! And for everyone else who's pretty sure they're in early labour but are trying to get things established before they call the hospital/midwife hehe Grin

I'm having RIDICULOUS trouble with my restless leg. I'm pretty sure it's related to my hip problems as when DH is kind enough to pummel my bumcheek/hip joint area the restlessness subsides for a while... Just want this bean out now!!!!

randdom we've got a surprise bean popping out on Monday, DH was always adamant that he didn't want to know (he hates to tempt fate, bless him) and for the longest time I had no clue but now I'm thinking its a boy for some reason...dunno why. Just keep saying "he" and calling Bean Leo already... It'll be interesting to see if my hunch is right!

MrsFooCough · 17/05/2014 01:18

Ohhh and DMiL and StepFiL are coming to stay tomorrow. Joy.
MiL is ace, though - she's staying for about a fortnight to help out when bean finally pops into the world - it's StepFiL who's a NIGHTMARE. Ugh. He's only staying for one night though, to take the edge off the 4hr journey from the West Midlands!!

sambababy · 17/05/2014 01:53

Go choppa!! My sister's ctx were irregular until right near the end so you could be well on your way.

loopy Thanks hope it's all going ok and doesn't take too long to kick off.

Thinking of all of you overdue ladies & looking forward to the next birth story!

dhamm22 · 17/05/2014 04:28

bush I will try to figure out how to private message u haha!! I would love to see some pics!

Nothing from choppa yet hey... I Hope it wasnt just a tease!!!

I think baby is real low I can finally fit tons of food in again.. I ate 2 dinners tonight! And of course.. pineapple dessert.. a friend recommended rasberry tea and pineapple.. I never heard of the rasb tea part before.. and ive also heard that stimulating the nipples really works.. some women go as far as using there breast pumps for 15 minutes a day....

mrsfoo I struggle with restless legs too.. mine is extremely bad.. I take magnesium pills at night which work wonders! And baby safe.. I also stretch a lot (doesnt always work but sometimes) and absolutely no caffeine.. if I have even half a cup of coffee my legs will go nuts for hours! This has been my biggest struggle in my pregnancy. I work on my feet for 7 hrs at a time without sitting.. so as soon as I go to laydown it kicks in... on my nights off its not so bad.. so rest and staying off ur feet helps a lot as well!! I hope you find something that works for you!! And dont lose too much sleep!

You ladies all have midwives.. I wish they were more popular here or I wouldve looked into it further they sound wonderful. Im not the biggest fan of my doc. :(

sleeping vibes to everyone!!

Vikks · 17/05/2014 05:28

Go Choppa! Hope you are enjoying your snuggles soon.
Our babies could share a birthday, my induction is booked for this morning. I guess it could be hours or days....we'll see! X Wink

loopylou52 · 17/05/2014 07:24

Hi all, our little boy, Oliver James, was delivered by emergency c-section at 11:50 last night following a long drip-induction which resulted in very little progress and a baby who wasn't coping well with labour. C-section wasn't as horrible as I expected, despite it being the opposite of the natural waterbirth I'd been hoping for! I know the recovery is going to be difficult though.

Good luck to those in labour and about to be induced, and well done moomin on finishing your uni work!
