Congrats all new mummies. Lots of laboury thoughts to those still waiting. Baby b is 17 days today! Time is flying!

Could a cold be a symptom?? Hopefully it won't be too much longer, randdom and moomin35! For this week, 6/6/14 would be an awesome birth date... Or 8/6/14 is good too! :)

Moomin35 did you get your sweep in the end? I think I remember you talking about it previously. Sicknspan has been posting on the fb group but I don't think I can mention here as is up to her.

I did wonder when my nose was a bit stuffy if this could be a labour sign, it is the sore throat which is making me think that it is more likely to be a cold but I could be wrong.

Hi randomm, unfortunately no. I was all prepared for it at my 40 week appointment on Saturday but the midwife seemed really reluctant to do it for some reason banging on about all the risks associated with it then she blamed the baby's heartbeat for being too high so we had to go to the hospital to get it monitored where they reassured me it was fine. I asked the midwife at the hospital of she would do a sweep-she tried but said I had a posterior cervix so was unable to do it!
I feel like nothing's happening, I don't know whether to try all the old wives tales or just try and sit it out and let nature hopefully-eventually-take its course?!
What's the situation with you at the mo? x

I am 40+4 today I saw my midwife who did a sweep. Cervix is thick but soft and 2cm dilated stretches to 3cm. Have started to loose my plug the last few days with occasional cramps. It all seems positive but is baby number one so who knows how long things will take!

So good news was that bushbaby, Sebastian David Llewelyn (Bastian) was born on18 days late on the 30th may, 7lb7oz and is just perfect! We had gone in for monitoring on Tuesday but a scan revealed that he had reduced fluid

I'm lucky enough to be all done, bush. Sorry, my last post was a bit confusing! I'm busy cheerleading our upcoming babies. :)

Whats the facebook group called guys?

Moomin35 it's a closed group so you have to be invited by an admin. I don't know how to do it, but I'll put a post on there and ask someone who does know what they are doing to PM you on here with details. We are loads chattier on there and there are loads of pics of the gorgeous babies which are enough to make me feel broody again!

I can add people I think. If you message me a link to your facebook profile I can temporarily add you as a friend then add you to the group and then remove you. That is how I was added anyway!

Hi all. Sorry for neglecting to post, we'vebad a busy week!

We've had a little boy, the third in our peapod (he is the image of his two older brothers!) He was born at 3:12 am on 01/06. Weighed 7 lbs 15 oz, so the smallest of all three peas by a touch.

Labour was longer than the previous ones at 7 hours, but think this was because he was back to back. It didn't hurt any more than the others but just went on longer so the pain was harder to bear as I had to put up with more contracting!

He had to stay in SCBU until yesterday because of early onset jaundice, but we're home now and he is fine, breastfeeding really well and being adored by his big brother, mummy and daddy. We are all completely besotted by him :)

Hope all is well with everyone here, I am finding it easier to keep up with Facebook but do pop back every so often so will keep an eye open for news from moomin35 and randdom! Good luck girls!

Aw thanks for checking in sicknspan I'm so glad your baby arrived safely and well that's great news Can I ask how far over your due date in the end when he arrived? Enjoy your newborn x

moomin35 how are you doing today? Any signs things might be moving?

Hi randdom No unfortunately not! Nothing! I'm 40+5 today. I have my 41 week appointment on Saturday booked, is this when they will book me in for an induction? My body has been "clearing out" for a good couple of weeks, my bump is very hard and possibly lowered a bit. My skin feels as though it couldnt possibly stretch anymore but apart from that I've had no signs! How about you? How are you doing? x

The end is in sight Moomin and Randdom, can't be long before you meet your baby.

I had what I think is a bloody show last night (dark brown blood mixed with mucus plug?) and I have been having on an off tightening and pains for days now but they stop or become less regular. I am just tired to be honest.

41 weeks today...

Definitely sounds like good news about your plug randomm I'm 40+6, 41 weeks tomorrow. My bump is really really hard and I can feel baby moving quite obviously but no other signs. I still can't believe I will ever give birth!

Nothing from me 41+1 today. Fear I'll have to be induced at the end of the week, this baby doesn't seem keen to come out naturally midwife said my cervix is soft but that's all..
