Congratulations Mrs Foo what a beautiful name too. Hope you are recovering a bit now x
No progress for me at 40 + 3 mind you they are currently digging up our road so baby probably wants to wait until they are right outside our house Wink

PotatoPolly · 22/05/2014 10:28

CONGRATS MRS FOO! loopy that makes 3 of us very similar SmileSmile

here's hoping for more babies soon Thanks

sambababy · 22/05/2014 11:26

I love a morning with MN baby news! Congratulations mrs foo, she looks adorable. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I am thinking squeezy contraction thoughts for the rest of you!

Slightly weird embarrassing admission here. Somewhere near the end of pregnancy I started drooling when I sleep Blush Seems to have continued into motherhood and I've no idea why! I don't have a blocked nose. Is this just me?

wm3010 · 22/05/2014 11:44

samba I thought it was just me - had been hoping it would disappear post baby but hasn't happened so far Blush

rebeccax2 · 22/05/2014 12:24

samba & wm3010 I have developed a thick and embarrassing drool as well :-)

Just saw my midwife. They needed a 3rd opinion as to whether it was her head they could feel down. She is only 2/5 engaged at 40 + 2 which is frustrating.

They did do a sweep and said my cervix was soft and they could feel babies head - but I'm not dilated at all - but it felt imminent.

My blood pressure was REALLY high though. Not sure if it was the coffee I just drank but they took all my bloods again just to be safe.

Thats all my news. Sweep was done, now just more waiting.

Mrs Foo I'm so happy for you! Thanks

Hezbean · 22/05/2014 13:29

Yippee! Congrats mrsfoo! She's fab! - 10lb wow lovely weight.

Sorry for not posting very much!! Lottie is feeding so much. Doing really well though. I haven't even posted my birth story yet!

Love to everyone xxx

sambababy · 22/05/2014 15:09

Phew! Glad I'm not alone in that!

rebecca I was never checked to see if baby was engaged during pg, they don't do that over here, but my sister had 2 babies in UK and neither was engaged before labour started, so don't get too hung up on that.

AppleCrumble1 · 22/05/2014 17:01

I'm a drooler too & baby wasn't engaged at all at 49 wk appt on Mon!!

AppleCrumble1 · 22/05/2014 17:02

40 week - just feels like 49 :-)

rebeccax2 · 22/05/2014 19:34

Waiting. Whistles. Twiddles thumbs. Any news from bush? x

SarahJinx · 22/05/2014 21:13

I'm drooling too Samba is it a 'thing'...?

I've also developed sopping wet, cold night sweats. That's breastfeeding, its dreadful. And cold.

bushprincess · 22/05/2014 23:04

Oh, me too on the drool!, another glamorous pg side effect!

No news here, but sweep tomorrow so .fx that gets this lady bones moving!

Sleep well all Xxx

kally195 · 23/05/2014 09:13

You know things are getting desperate when your DH finds a big ornamental metal hook in the garden and you, for a very brief moment, actually consider whether or not it could induce labour.....

I have decided I am gestating an elephant.

Spirael · 23/05/2014 09:38

I'm reaching that level of desperation, kally! I'm running out of ideas of things I can try to shift DD2, who at present seems perfectly content to stay inside me for the rest of eternity. Angry

I got briefly excited yesterday when my body had a relatively impressive clear out. But 24 hours later with nothing happening, I've been forced to reflect that it was probably just due to my copious pineapple consumption...

kally195 · 23/05/2014 10:29

Spirael right with you there - keep thinking things are happening but it all comes to nothing. Sweep tomorrow morning - don't know what I will do if they get here and then can't do it!

randdom · 23/05/2014 10:37

39 weeks today and....

Nothing. No signs, no clear out, no cramps. Nada Hmm

Looking at everyone's due dates on fb (and the fact that I am having baby number 1) makes me pretty sure that I am going to be the last one here :(

Spirael · 23/05/2014 11:07

I'm 39 weeks today as well randdom. DD1 was early, but that's apparently no guarantee that DD2 won't cling on to the bitter end. We may yet have June babies!

Mostly I'm clinging to the fact that I have a maximum of another three weeks of being pregnant before an eviction notice is served and the doctors haul DD2 out, kicking and screaming if necessary! Though I'd rather avoid that, because induction means no lovely home water birth. :(

Today's home eviction tactic involves lots of house tidying and ball bouncing. We'll see whether any of that proves effective or not. I'm guessing all that will happen is that I'll end up tired and achy later!

At least with my DParents visiting this weekend they can hopefully entertain DD1 so I can get some rest. More likely I'll end up wearing myself out trying to entertain everyone.

bushprincess · 23/05/2014 12:33

kally, spirael and random don't fret, I'm right here with you!! 41+1 (on dates rather than scan as too depressing to think how far over that date i am!) and apart from a few sporadic tightenings nada....have just been for a walk, kneaded dough, cleaned kitchen floor on my hands and knees, now eating pineapple and will go ball bouncing later before sweep this afternoon..... please please please let it work, otherwise it's induction on tues and bye bye home birth Sad

Positive labour vibes to all!!!

randdom · 23/05/2014 12:37

Note to anyone reading... If heavily pregnant don't watch a youtube video call the 5 saddest scrubs moments of all time.... has left me bawling for the last 30 mins!

SicknSpan · 23/05/2014 12:56

random and spirael I am the third of our due date triplets. Nothing hopeful here either. Been having on off period pains over last fortnight - twice I thought "this is it!" But we are obviously very good at being pregnant because like your babies this one does not seem to want to be born yet. Nothing, no show, no cramps now, no clear out.

I've been really active, tried clary sage oil etc in preparation/nipple twiddling but nothing. So am now taking a midwife friends recommendation of sodding all of that and cosying up at home to create some nice happy relaxed oxytocin. In bed, kindle/iPad/magazines/cat on lap. And even if it doesn't work, it's lovely!

Happy Friday all x

moobaloo · 23/05/2014 16:40

Not feeling kicks today, just rib nudges and weird rolling whole stomach movements!! Very weird! Hope he's turning back to the correct position and getting ready for being born!

He's 4/5 engaged but I still feel a lot of movement high up under my ribs - normal or is he really long? His dad and I are both tall and were long at birth.

Don't feel heavy or pressure or 'in my pelvis' at all - should I?

Bored of waiting now.

Labour vibes to all who need them!

rebeccax2 · 23/05/2014 18:00

Hello overdue buddy moobaloo

I don't know is the answer! You are more engaged than me (I'm 2/5) but I have a lot of downward pressure and period type pains below. I also have a foot (or 2?) firmly under my ribs. Who knows? Honestly, the ore birth stories I read, the more I'm convinced you just can't guess what's going to happen.

Labour vibes to you! x

loopylou52 · 23/05/2014 18:50

I'm with you ladies on the dribble front - my pillowcase looks disgusting. I've also found I wake up really sweaty post-natally. I didn't know that could be related to breastfeeding.

Sending labour vibes to all of you getting frustrated xx

Jonquille · 23/05/2014 19:52

Hello ladies,

So another day of being pregnant 40+4 today. Had a long walk in London. Went to a concert in south bank and had a curry. Nothing! This baby seems to comfy inside.
So lets hope we will have our babies soon xxx

bushprincess · 23/05/2014 20:49

solidarity with all the overdue and generally fed up maybies!!

MW visited this evening, gave me a sweep, apparently cervix effaced and v.favourable, she had a good rummage and we're hoping, hoping, hoping that it will get things moving - will update if so!!

hope everyone either sleeps like a log, or is woken up with productive labour pains!!!

xx
