Lovely birth story moas, hope the rib heals soon and your stitches don't give you any trouble! Congratulations ftm. :)

Zero to report here. Angry My wine and curry was about as effective as anything else. I've tried using the breast pump a few more times and it sets off some BH while I'm pumping, but they stop afterwards. Bah!

Think I'm going to venture out of the house this afternoon and have a wander around some shops. See if I can get my waters to break or labour to kick off in a public and embarrassing place. Wink

Hopefully someone else is having a bit more success at baby expulsion??

3sthenew2 · 25/05/2014 16:03

Any other overduers feel like its never gonna happen naturally? Sad I'm completely housebound now due to spd rearing its ugly head again & getting too irritated by the 'still here' comments that happen the minute I step out of my house! Love testing the birth stories though,

3sthenew2 · 25/05/2014 16:05

Oops meant to say reading not testing!

moobaloo · 25/05/2014 17:50

3s - I'm starting to doubt things will happen naturally because the idea of my waters just spontaneously breaking or realising I'm having contractions seems so unlikely right now! I'm sorry the spd is keeping you in (hug)

Baby not moving much today... Lay down and poked stomach a few times and he wriggled back ok but he doesn't seem to be to keen on actually doing anything unprovoked. Hoping this is him getting ready to be born? Doesn't help that he's moved from how he's been for weeks so movements are in different areas and I can't tell exactly how he's lying either.

40+6 and hoping he arrives soon! Sweep tues if not

Spirael, did your going out in public work? I've been doing that all week hoping the potential for an embarrassing public waters breaking would tempt baby out! Hasn't worked yet though.

Hello ladies,

Congrats eggs and moas on your new arrivals!
Sending all of toi waiting to cradle their bundled of joy.

If you remember I was overdue. Went for a walk in London with family, concert and a curry. Looks like that did the trick. My mucus plug went that night. And I started contacting at 4a.m. Every 4-5 minute right away. Went To hospital at 11a.m. Just to grtt checked. I was only 2cm dilated so got a cocadomol and came back home. That did the trick and I could get 2 hours sleep. When I woke I wondered if the contractions stopped. But no they were coming regularly at 4 minutes. I waited at home eating, using the birthng ball, taking a hot shower as a pain relief until midnight. Came to hospital at midnight. The wars was full so I was waiting till 2a.m. In a waiting room with gad and air. From 2a.m. Things moved quickly and I didn't know where I was anymore! They weeled me quickly to a labor Ward. Where I don't like the midwives. So waited till 6 in the morning till they change shift and things got to kick start again. Couldn't cope with pain anymore. As feeling pressure at only 7cm I decided to take an epidural at 10a.m. and had my baby 10 pushes later :-)
No tears and she is beautiful. We are kept in hospital overnight as she was born at 40+6. She is feeding well. And I forgot to pack Lansinoh ouch... so if toy have time pack one in your bag toi will Thank yourself.
This was an easy birth and I am ready to have another one next year :-)
Sending you all speedy labor vibes xx

Jonquille · 25/05/2014 23:04

randdom · 25/05/2014 23:17

ClearlyMoo · 26/05/2014 07:22

Hi all! I've been somewhat thread-negligent. Baby B now 9 days old! Struggling with BF but tongue tie now been snipped and latch improving.

Congrats to Eggs & Moas and all those on the mummy-bus!

As for Bush and others waiting hope things happen soon!

Being a mum is amazing but exhausting!

Congrats Jonquille!! A very positive story. Enjoy your little girl!

Good to hear it's going well Clearly, onwards and upwards all the time!

Well, I rang medicos last night as was worried about movements, they were there if I really poked him but I was getting twitcher and was panicking, don't want anything to go wrong at this late stage! Such a worrier. Plus as my midwife said he was in a funny position I thought that might be why I couldn't feel him so well, combined with him not fitting in there very well any more, so I wasn't too worried, but wanted someone to say "there, there, it's perfectly normal!"

As it was they asked me to go to delivery suite for a trace... He was asleep for the first half an hour before some icy water woke him up and we got some normal movements. Very big relief. The midwives there are so lovely. However I was having regular tightenings every ten minutes which I could feel, but hadn't really noticed. A promising sign!

As it was my second time in with reduced movements the midwife wanted a dr to see me, and she offered me a sweep, then said I was 1cm dilated and she could feel the baby's head! She said she'd book me in for induction as I'm 41 weeks today so I was expecting the end of the week but she said today at five pm! Shock pottering round trying to get things in order... Feel the need to empty my hospital bag and re pack it lots of times!

I'm a bit freaked out by the thought of induction really, thought I'd like it before I was told I'm getting one but now not so sure! Sadly no MLBU for me now Sad but I'll have my baby soon (hopefully!)

Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Spirael · 26/05/2014 10:19

Congratulations, Jonquille! Sounds like a long but ultimately successful labour. :) Enjoy your lovely newborn.

Ooh, exciting about induction today moobaloo. Sounds like you'll have your LO soon! Hope it all goes smoothly or, even better, things kick off properly before 5pm today. Wink

Nothing here, my wandering around shops didn't trigger anything except the return of that kicked in the groin feeling from the delightful PGP. Ugh. Spent yesterday evening hobbling around the house feeling very grumpy and fed up.

DD2 meanwhile seems perfectly happy and content, having lots of wiggles. I keep debating whether to see if I can someone medical to check whether I'm even remotely dilated or anything, but I can't really justify wasting their time like that when I'm lucky enough that everything is clearly fine - just taking time.

The MW was sure at my appointment last week that I wouldn't still be pregnant beyond the weekend. It's now Monday! [sob]

Spirael · 26/05/2014 10:23

Several people in the June thread already have their babies. So unfair! [tantrum]

Are there many of us still waiting? Maybe we need a stragglers role call!

bushprincess, any news from you?

impatientlywaiting · 26/05/2014 11:32

Huge congrats Jonquille, sounds like you had a really positive experience.

I posted on the Facebook page too Moob, but good luck again. Looking forward to seeing pics of baby Moob very soon.

randdom · 26/05/2014 15:36

I'm still here....

anyone any good with slings? My friend had her baby early and has just brought him home. He is still tiny and only weighs 4lbs 3oz. She has asked me to have a look at pouch carriers that would be suitable for his size (she has one for when he gets bigger) I am not even sure I know what a pouch carrier is :s

rebeccax2 · 26/05/2014 16:16

Hi All. Gosh it's got quiet here hasn't it! I think there are only a dozen or so of us left randdom and spirael - are you both checking in on facebook? I have to say the chatter on there is keeping me sane.

moobaloo I have absolutely EVERYTHING crossed for you for a great speedy and wonderful induction and birth today. Good luck lady!

I'm still waiting. 41 weeks now, and have induction booked for Thursday if nothing has happened by then. Just went for a big walk around the park and lots of uncomfortableness and jabbing pains, but no show and still carrying high. I'm starting to relax into the idea of induction now. What can you do?

Lots of love to all the waiting Maybies! Gemini babies are the best Wink

3sthenew2 · 26/05/2014 16:22

Still here! Given up sign spotting & 3 lots of horoscopes mention Thursday as being significant so my heads set on that day, I'll be 7 days over by then so if it comes before it'll be a nice surprise. Feel sorry for DH he thought he'd be on pat leave by now & planned a few cinema trips with our DS 1 & 2. Ignoring all texts & phone calls now as I have nothing to report & fed up with having the same conversations.
Congrats to those who have their LO's. are you willing to share names & size clearly? Goodluck moo

ClearlyMoo · 26/05/2014 20:36

Randdom. A Moby sling might be good for your friends preemie.

Mumsnet review here www.mumsnet.com/reviews/on-the-move/baby-carriers-and-baby-slings/9543-moby-wrap-original-wrap

They are good for newborns and help with reflux which preemies often have

Hope all is going well moobaloo, looking forward to your update!

SicknSpan · 27/05/2014 10:12

Spirael I am still lurking about. Mainly on FB. Think you, I and randomm are all due same day, Fri 30th? Pregnancy blah blah blah I am so over this shit!

moobaloo · 27/05/2014 10:47

I'm still here Smile pessary in last night, now alternating ball bouncing and hospital corridor pacing to encourage the tightenings I'm getting to turn into contractions! It's a bit boring but I feel positive something is happening and I will leave here with a baby soon!

HUGE labour vibes to the waiting ones!!!

Rebecca - at least you have a date now, fingers crossed for a spontaneous labour before Thursday but at least you have a plan if not!
If it's any consolation I'm still carrying very high but midwife said baby is very engaged and she could feel his head!

Anyone heard from bush lately?

I've probably forgotten someone, very sorry, bit of a ditzy right now!

Xxx

SicknSpan · 27/05/2014 19:20

I'm getting ever so confused between here and Facebook moobaloo! I can't recall either who is who. Or who I am half the time. So you're not the only ditzy feeling one :) ??

ohdearitshappeningtome · 27/05/2014 21:24

This dropped off my actives!! How rude hahaShock

randdom · 28/05/2014 00:25

Do uncomfortable tonight. I can only lie on my left hand side or I get horrendous heartburn but my hips are starting to protest at the lack of movement so I now can't get comfy on my left. Baby has also gone crazy tonight and I am getting BH

All combined I don't think sleep is likely.....

SicknSpan · 28/05/2014 06:55

Ah matey hang on in there. It's so tough being this pregnant isn't it xx

moobaloo · 28/05/2014 11:54

Hang in there people! Xxx

Now on my third hormone thingy Hmm and 43rd hour in hospital! however A LOT of pain, mostly in my back, so TENS is on and it is definitely helping.

I should be on delivery suite by this evening apparently - yay!

Labour vibes and love to all!

Xxx

Spirael · 28/05/2014 13:33

Good luck, moobaloo! Hope it all goes well! :)

Zero to report here, as usual! No potential signs of labour at all. I'm starting to wonder whether this baby is ever coming out.
