Not much point at the moment Sleep, we move from netherlands back to the UK on friday so tuesday is realistically the earliest I can see one. No point going to my one here as I won't be here for follow up... Roll on Tuesday

Em03 · 14/05/2014 14:48

Hi everyone.

Hope you don't mind me joining!!

Found out last week I was pregnant with my first.

Had an early pregnancy scan yesterday as classed as high risk pregnancy due to health reasons and I am 5 weeks and 5 days and baby is due 9th Jan 2015 although will have a planned C section, again because of health.

Feeling so excited, nervous & still in shock!

Anyone else feeling like this?

tams1uk · 14/05/2014 14:55

Hi all

Think I'm due early Jan (only just found out and worked my dates out, etc) so hope no one minds me joining in :-) Haven't seen any mw's yet, just gp who has referred me and said my booking in apt should be around week 10 - so just another 4 weeks to wait :-/ Would just like some kind of confirmation apart from being 2 weeks late & 3 bfp's!! lol

EnglishGirlAbroad · 14/05/2014 15:13

Welcome and congratulations Tam and Em Smile

mendandmakedo · 14/05/2014 15:14

Hi to all and tams1 and EM03
Congrats j200 that must make it more real for you.

I am so jealous of you ladies at 6 weeks I am only 4 and feel like time is dragging. DH only just getting over the shock and reality of having 3 children eek. I have booked in with midwife no need to see GP first in my area and no time limit so I will be 6 weeks when I have my booking in with midwife. It all seems surreal but hopefully my girls will be happy with a new baby in the family.

Em03 · 14/05/2014 15:26

Thanks so much for the welcomes!

So new to all of this and I just want to scream out I am expecting! Can get excited with all you guys instead for the time being as haven't really told anyone yet. Partner so so excited though and mum as first time she will be a Nana.

Just wondered, how do you reply to someone on here within a comment?? Just tried using the @ sign as really would love to get on the stats too!! So so exciting looking at that!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 14/05/2014 15:38

Em, you need to put a * on either side of the text you want to be in bold. Smile

Em03 · 14/05/2014 15:43

EnglishGirlAbroad thanks so much. Hoped this worked.

fancyacupoftea I've seen the stats you posted. Not sure if it is you but any chance I could be added to this please.

Thanks again!!

Oh my god I'm craving chips with golden syrup Shock

fancyacupoftea · 14/05/2014 18:26

Lol Linda! Sick and wrong!

That buzzfeed is hilarious Bed. What with the panicking about no morning sickness and the issues with constipation (I'm still trying to forget the incident at work last week) I feel like it could have been written by me!

Welcome Tam and Em! Camsie and Em if you're on a laptop then try this link if it doesn't work then let me know!

Congrats on your happy scan j200!!

I have loads of schoolwork to do tonight. So I got home, had a nap and hid from it all. CAN NOT BE BOTHERED.

Hey all - hope we are ok this evening.

I'm currently only 3 weeks +1 - so a real newbie!!! Doesn't seem real at moment

Debating booking an early scan at either 6+3 days (got a day off) or 7+4 days (a Saturday!)

Is it firstly worth getting an early scan and does 6 or 7 weeks really matter? I'm keen for no one at work to suspect at the moment.

Am I also too early to spk to doctor or midwife??

lindamagoo · 14/05/2014 18:43

Just scoffed a massive plate of chips and syrup and it was amazing, feel a little sick now but it's worth it Smile

Starbright24 · 14/05/2014 18:46

Evening all. Ms kicked in today with feelnibg nauseous all day - not fun trying to moderate yr 6 writing. - and trying not to barf.

Chips and golden syrup? linda - never tried that and not sure I want to. Lol.

like the link bed :)

I left all school work at school, can't face it as will probably be asleep soon.

Welcome to newbies and congratulations Grin

LadyCottington · 14/05/2014 18:50

Congrats on your scan, j200! How exciting, I'm so jealous and can't wait til my scan. I think I'm the only one here not getting an early one Envy

I thought my husband wasn't that excited, or wasn't letting himself get excited until later on, but today he came home with a t shirt saying " this is what a great dad looks like". Made me Grin

linda that sounds disgusting yet amazing at the same time! Im currently eating all the cheese. All. The. Cheese. Not quite sure how much halloumi we've gone through. Whoops, I'm going to get massive if I carry on like this!

Em03 · 14/05/2014 18:54

fancyacupoftea

Using an iPhone and the link works. Saw everyone on there and hope I can get added to the link too if possible.

EDD 9/1/2015!!
First baby.
Planned C Section.
Age 30.

This thread is so exciting. Laughing at the chips and syrup! Not had any cravings as of yet. Just moments of feeling sick today and dizzy spells.

Thanks again.

fancyacupoftea · 14/05/2014 18:55

Lady Cottington

What an amazing T-shirt!
Maybe partner is hiding his excitement in just a little. Who could resist a T-shirt like that though.

fancyacupoftea · 14/05/2014 18:59

Done Em03! Didn't know where to put about the CS so left it for now. It's getting to be a long list!

I could seriously eat another plate of they chips, was amazing Smile

Starbright24 · 14/05/2014 19:02

brummie I had to go to Drs first to get a mw appointment but then mw doesn't see anyone till 8 weeks...and it always takes me a week to get a Drs app to start with. - I'm not getting an early scan...what will be will be.

ChineseFireball · 14/05/2014 19:12

j200 brilliant news about the scan Smile
Hello to all the newbies and congratulations!

Today I feel like turd again after a couple of days not feeling too bad Sad I think it's a combination of being tired, looking after DS who is being VERY 2 all day long by myself (I know lots of people do that every day but mine is at nursery 3 days a week so I'm a cheat Wink ) and the stupid post nasal drip clogging my throat up with disgustingness that won't go away. Aaargh.

Also, did someone mention earlier that they sneezed and got a really sharp uterus pain? I just did that. Ouch.

On a more positive note I have a new pair of sunglasses and my wireless mouse has arrived. Huzzah. And it's saus and mash for dinner which I think will be fine.

Right. Off to do the mummy-popping-her-head-in-on-bedtime thing so DH doesn't think I'm lazy and DS doesn't think I've abandoned him. Laters, taters. Grin

MademoiselleG · 14/05/2014 19:19

Hello and welcome to all newbies! Em, if you click on the link from a laptop, you can actually ad the stats yourself as it's a shared document Smile - it IS going to be a long list, so exciting!

So today I cried at work - thank god not in public just ! My toxic colleague was just downright rude to me, for no reason, just because she was in a bad mood. And in front of staff and kids too. Incredibly undermining. Anyone else want to start a voodoo doll business with me?

linda chips and golden syrup? Is that a thing you normally have or have the cravings started already??

I'm feeling fat. Was wearing a very floaty top today as I am still super bloated. Prune juice helps so much though!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 14/05/2014 19:43

Chips and golden syrup is the most disgusting thing I think I've ever heard Linda!! I've just devoured a huge portion of carbonara!! Pig! I'm drowning in boxes and tape - moving house is bloody hard work!!

MademoiselleG · 14/05/2014 19:46

Eeww..moving house is awful...good luck English!
