gingy congrats! Lovely feeling isn't it?
chaircat I feel your pain... one of our cats wants a cuddle every morning and usually uses me as a trampoline to get comfy on... not at the moment! ouchy!

PassTheAnswers · 20/05/2014 13:30

I'm taking ds to get his jabs today so I'll book an appt when there and see what they say. Don't really want to pay for a private scan as have millions of uses for an extra £100. Hope that the community mw I had last time is still covering our area as she was an absolute lifesaver last time. I know it was after the first weekend of april as I was racing but that's about it.

Just realised that since having ds I haven't had a smear and due to moving practices I hadn't had one for eons before ds and got roundly bollocked during my last pregnancy (by a male dr who asked if i didn't like them) Umm... who actually enjoys smear tests?

English exciting! We saw a heartbeat with ds at 6+a few days last time after a bleed.

Glenpip77 · 20/05/2014 13:43

Fab news gingy x

Hope those withMS are not feeling too rough today?

We've just booked our early scan for next Friday, I should be 8+3 by then. Should provide some piece of mind to counter the worry about lack of symptoms Smile

ilovelamp78 · 20/05/2014 14:14

Yay very pleased for you Gingy x

Dec2013mummy · 20/05/2014 15:47

Congrats gingy, so happy for you Smile

Pass how old is your Ds?

Ms is just about bearable in comparison to last time! Still bloody horrible though!! Hope no one else is suffering too badly.

tams1uk · 20/05/2014 15:56

I've reached that time of the day where I simply cannot keep my eyes open. Putting it down to a symptom, as never had a mid-afternoon slump quite as bad as this - not a good thing when I have to work till 5!!

So happy to hear your good news gingy - you must be over the moon.

English, you must be ecstatic today too.

Hope everyone suffering from ms is getting through ok today - I almost want to feel a bit queasy so I will feel this is a bit more real, but think I'll just be thankful for the tiredness for now!!!

Have a lovely evening everyone

Loobyloo893 · 20/05/2014 16:08

Tams I'm knackered aswell. Even had a little nap while DS napped! But don't know if its a symptom or just cos hubby is away and DS wakes up at half 5 most days!

Ikkleme · 20/05/2014 16:25

Not sure if I should be worried or not, my midwife hasn't been in touch even though I went to the docs a week ago. I keep getting pains in my stomach which I know a few people are getting but this are sharp stabbing ones :-( i haven't had any symptoms not even sore boobs and no spotting or anything... Just BFP tests. Should I be concerned about the pains or just plod on until midwife gets in touch x

lindamagoo · 20/05/2014 16:47

Ikkle I have been getting sharp pains since Saturday and they turned out to be nothing. The hospital said you can get bad pains from the side that you ovulated and also if you've not been able to go to the loo

Ikkleme · 20/05/2014 17:05

Thanks :-) it's so crazy coz no one tells you about this bit lol x

RPopz · 20/05/2014 17:09

So pleased to hear your news Gingy!

Can't remember who was asking about early scans but whoever it was -I'm not having one either! There's no medical reason and nothing to suggest any problem so I'm holding out for the 12 weeker!

So tired today, nearly left work this morning... Powered on through though... zzzzzz

Loving the scan pictures and news!

I bought some of these anti-nausea arm bands from boots today; they do help I think? But definitely very obvious...

RPopz · 20/05/2014 18:04

A girl at work had some on the other week Mademoiselle.... She's practically told everyone she's pg anyway but it's still a "big secret" apparently... I lol'd when I saw her wearing them as they're not v discrete but I didn't know if the general population would know or if I only know cos I'm pg! Wink

Loobyloo893 · 20/05/2014 18:31

I think the arm bands might be a bit of a giveaway Smile

MademoiselleG · 20/05/2014 18:34

I've just trialled them with lots of bracelets / bangles and they're hidden. I think I'll wear then in class only, not around staff for sure!

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 20/05/2014 18:52

Yay gingy :) :)

PassTheAnswers · 20/05/2014 19:04

The only thing that helped ms for me last time was nigh on constantly eating. As soon as I stopped, especially in the evening it was horrible No wonder I was hippo sized by the end! The bands helped a bit when travelling in a car or train but they aren't particularly discrete, especially in summer.

I feel steamrollered. Napped for an hour when ds was down (he's just turned one a few days ago). And then have been struggling to keep my eyes open since about 3pm. Have been in bed dozing with the kindle since he went to bed at 6.30pm. Don't remember it being this bad last time, plus a huge headache.

Receptionist at the gp semi laughed when I said I didn't have a clue but I'm booked in with the mw for first week of June. Scary.

MademoiselleG · 20/05/2014 19:25

Pass I've not stopped eating since getting in from work and still feel horrendous. I think tonight is the night when I puke!

cheshirem2b · 20/05/2014 20:05

Think I'm having a hormone surge! I'm exhausted (had a nap after work) and for 3rd day running feeling nauseous in the evenings... Having seen the BH yesterday I know it's all for a good cause but for the first time since I got BFP I feel rough.
Dinner is in the oven and ready but I'm not looking forward to it... I'm joining the "sickness" club but feel really sorry for all you ladies really differing with ms! Thanks

fancyacupoftea · 20/05/2014 20:19

Wrote a post and it just disappeared. Weird.

Really sorry for all those suffering with The Sickness. Hope it goes away soon.

Great news Gingy! Love scan news.

8.30 and I'm in bed already. Feel exhausted today and don't think I've ever been in such a bad mood Hmm Thought it best to get out of oh's way before it inevitably becomes his fault Smile

Sonics · 20/05/2014 20:33

Great news Gingy and too all others who've had good scan results

I've just got back from a mammoth trip to London with work. Got the train from Manchester at 7am this morning and should have been home by about 6pm but the train broke down which meant the journey took five hours instead of 2 Hmm. Not impressed. Tired, starving and glad I'm working from home tomorrow. Ugh!!

MademoiselleG · 20/05/2014 20:43

Linda I might just do the same. I am not a nice person to be around tonight and it has already become dh's fault!

lindamagoo · 20/05/2014 20:45

Made it's horrible isn't it? You know it's not right but you can't stop it, the rage is in me Angry lol
