It is fab hearing about all the early scans! Am I the only one who isn't havin one , lol? I am desperate to have one but think I may just wait as only another month...

oh god another month to wait! Argh

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 20/05/2014 08:35

Fingers x for you gingy

Loobyloo893 · 20/05/2014 08:37

KeepOn I'm not having a early scan (not planned one anyway). I had a private one with DS1 but DH is away at mo so I don't want to go on my own. Will have to wait until 12 weeks. Seems like forever away!

KeepOnKeepingOnAndOnAndOnAndOn · 20/05/2014 08:52

It does looby doesnt it!? it is so lovely to hear about everyone else's though :) so exciting.

I didn't realise how popular early private scans were! I don't know of many in RL who have had one.

I do love this thread and love seeing everyone's lil babies, it just makes it all the more real for me.

I really haven't fully registered I am pregnant yet though, I def think the 12 week scan will do it for me. Then I will be hitting the shops :) double buggy shopping etc argh cannot wait !

lindamagoo · 20/05/2014 08:58

Welcome Poasaddict (fab name) Smile

Cheshire your wee scan pic is so cute Smile

The ms is back in a bad way, I do believe I'm going to actually throw up this morning Hmm

tams1uk · 20/05/2014 08:59

I'm the same keep. No early scan planned, but it still isn't completely registering for me. I keep doing tests, just to check its still positive, lol, as I don't really have any other symptoms apart from pretty tender breasts!!

Can't wait for 12 weeks (per my calculations I'm 6+4 today), when hopefully everything will be clear and can start hitting the shops (after I pick DP up off the floor, it definitely isn't real for him yet). Its just so far away still!!! Haven't even heard when my booking in appointment will be yet!!

Loving all the news and pics of the scans & have everything crossed for those of you worrying and going through a nervous time at the moment. I really hope everything comes back clear for you all

MelMc73 · 20/05/2014 09:28

keepon I'm not planning on an early scan either! Spoke about it with DH and he said there's no point - what will be will be.
There's nothing that can be done if there's no baby regardless of when the scan takes place. Fx there will be one though!! I'm 41 so it could go either way and I am staying positive!
Mine isn't until 14th July when I'll be 13+2 by my calculations! We've got our summer holiday to deal with before that (boohiss no holiday booze Angry!!)

Good luck gingy!! Hope there's a bean in there Thanks!

lindamagoo · 20/05/2014 09:37

Mel the lady who done my scan yesterday told me not to worry about my age (43) she said wether you are 13, 23, 33, 43 or even 53 your odds of having a healthy baby are just the same so to just relax and enjoy Smile

MelMc73 · 20/05/2014 09:59

thanks linda x Smile

PassTheAnswers · 20/05/2014 10:12

Found out yesterday we're due #2 mid/end jan. Still somewhat in shock as it took a year of acting like rabbits to get ds and this was rather unplanned although dc2 was on the cards somewhere in the misty future.

Not sure when my last cycle was (April sometime?) so unsure as to dates. Complete change from pfb when I had been tracking ovulation, cervical mucus and cycles for 12 months so could pretty much pinpoint a day. What's the process if I don't know lmp, Early dating scan?

gingysmummy · 20/05/2014 10:40

Great news they found a baby with a heartbeat,i'm over the moon got a photo not sure how to post it on here.Trying not to get to excited after mmc but finding it hard.
Thank you for all your well wishes over the last few weeks Thanks

lindamagoo · 20/05/2014 10:45

Yay gingys that's fab news Smile

MelMc73 · 20/05/2014 10:47

excellent news gingy!! You must be so relieved!

Welcome passtheanswers and congratulations! Can you work out roughly the first day of your last AF and then count the weeks from there? Were there any key events in April when you had your AF which could jog your memory for dates!? Otherwise you could go for a private early scan in a couple of weeks time to get a more accurate date.

Mine was 12th April so I am 5wks + 2 days and I'm due around 15th Jan.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 20/05/2014 10:49

Yay! Gingsy, Thats amazing!!

Welcome Passtheanswers, Congratulations!!

MelMc73 · 20/05/2014 10:49

I've got that horrible metallic taste in my mouth today that I've read about as a SYMPTOM!! Yuk - it just makes me want to keep eating and drinking to get rid of it.....it's like having hangover munchies lol.

Anyone else had this yet?

gingysmummy · 20/05/2014 10:51

forgot to say i'm only 6 weeks not 8 like i thought but they said my cycle was prob all over the place after mmc,i'm just so happy there's a healthy little bean

ChaircatMiaow · 20/05/2014 11:47

That's wonderful to hear gingy. Smile

Have had a very sore and tender tummy today. The cat tried to sit on it in bed this morning and I nearly threw her across the room! Is anyone else experiencing this?

Loobyloo893 · 20/05/2014 11:59

Congrats gingy. That's fab! X

Frances79FirstTime · 20/05/2014 12:21

@PassTheAnswers - I'm in a similar position about problems with dating as I came off the pill (hadn't had a period for 2 years) and got pregnant immediately. So nothing to date it from! I've got my first appt with GP tomorrow and going to mention it then and hopefully make my booking-in appt with midwife ASAP. Will be interested to see if they date from when I came off the pill or I have to have an early scan. (Although it won't be THAT early as I reckon I might already be 7 weeks having waited so long for docs appt I can get to!)

Saraswati · 20/05/2014 12:23

chaircat I've been feeling tender on and off in my tummy. Today it feels like it's deep inside, not crampy, just a bit tender when I stand up and move around. I've been getting really bad backache the last few days too although I suspect that's from being crouched over the toilet with ms!! I would guess the tender tummy is ligament pain? My mw said that increases as you get towards 12 weeks, sometimes it's one sided, sometimes central but it's normal as everything stretches out and the uterus moves up (seems very odd that your uterus floats around!). She told me it might be quite painful as this is my first pregnancy so my body has never done this before.

Lovely news gingy :)

I'm exhausted today and this weird weather isn't helping, it's definitely stormy headaches and nausea weather eurgh Envy I think mumsnet need to come up with a pukey green face rather than an envy one!

Amazing news gingy

Frances and passtheanswers I'm also similar. I came off the pill and had a withdrawal bleed and got pregnant straight away, but have no idea when the bleed was. I completely guessed the dates when I told the mw.

Sara so sorry to hear you're still feeling so terrible! Really hope it eases soon.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 20/05/2014 12:37

Scan on Thursday morning, by my calculations I'll be 6 weeks so hopefully I'll see a heart beat but I know it's still quite early. Fx!!

ChaircatMiaow · 20/05/2014 12:45

Thanks sara! Makes me feel better to know it's not just me!

lindamagoo · 20/05/2014 12:55

Yay English that's exciting
